  1. People keep mentioning that but I still don't know who provides the service. Do they also put the 400,000 in the bank for you? Because that's what I need
  2. I got a 1 year visa in Phnom Penh for $370 and bought 50 grams of weed from the agent at the same time. Contrast that with the extreme amount of hassle I've had with sorting out my visas here. If my missus didn't have a beautiful piece of land here there wouldn't be much incentive for me to stay.
  3. I've got various seeds on the way from the US and I'm not sure what the sativa/indica ratio is. I bought a couple of clones 2 weeks ago and then realized I had to go away for a week so I planted them in the garden and 10 days later they were in flower. Somebody posted on here that they plant out when the girls are 2 foot high. I've got a couple of lights which I'm using successfully to boost the daylight hours on some more clones right now. Just curious to hear about anyone else's experiences.
  4. Doors and windows mainly. We drove past a plane the other day actually. I couldn't tell you where it was though because we did a mega journey across the country.
  5. Building a little house and would like to add a few interesting features if possible
  6. I've been staying in hotels a lot up until this week and the prices have been going up but I thought it was because of high season. I was staying for a long time in one hotel and the first price I paid in August was 290, then it was 300, then 311, then 320 and last time I checked it was over 400. ( I did eventually get a monthly rate of 5000 when I realised I was sticking around)
  7. You may as well drop an E, do a line of charlie and have a dance around your room.
  8. Can you tell me who's doing it for you, either on here or by PM?
  9. I'm pretty sure 35k is the price I'm paying to not come to Pattaya. It was a few grand less if I come to get it.
  10. Is anyone in this thread talking about getting a retirement visa without having the required funds in the bank? I've spoken with an agent who apparently puts the money in my account and a few weeks later I should have a visa. The cost is 35k. If anyone knows an agent who can do it cheaper I'd be happy to hear about them.
  11. I reported a dangerous doberman pinscher several times in England but the authorities weren't interested because it wasn't on their list of dangerous dogs. Never mind that it tried to attack us and the other neighbours and every other dog it encountered whenever it went for a walk. It ain't on the list and that's all that matters. I had a collie cross for years and she was more than willing to attack someone, if I told her to. I suppose the fact that dobermans have been used as security for decades by various people including the Nazis, is irrelevant these days.
  12. link didnt work. I've laid the first few bags but we're possibly going to move the location today.
  13. I've got one too so that's at least two good things which the Chinese have made.
  14. With the luck I've been having, that will probably land on me
  15. Spent about 2 hours waiting in line behind about 15 people yesterday at Nong Khai. God knows what that dude was doing.
  16. And you squandered the rest? (to paraphrase the late, great Georgie Best)
  17. Let's cut to the chase... how much did you find and what did you spend it on? ????
  18. I left a place in a different country. I wanted a monthly contract but they somehow convinced me to to sign a one year contract. Having rented properties and written contracts myself, I knew the translated contract I'd signed would never hold up in a court. I was bored out of my mind living there and didn't want to spend another £1000 on rent just to live in a groundhog day situation. Didn't help my anxiety that the landlord was a cop or that the the only way out of there was through their kitchen. I spoke to a friend of mine (who's a total crook) and he said the contract was <deleted>, not to worry about it and just leave. So I paid the monthly rent and a week later packed up most of my stuff, told them I had to go away for a few days, left enough money to pay the bills, left about $100 worth of stuff, left a load of clothes hanging on chairs to make it look like I was coming back, smiled at his missus and left. I won't be going back to that country any time soon.
  19. My mum was a nurse all her working life and the doctors and nurses used to have some pretty wild parties all through the 70's and 80's. I used to volunteer to be the barman (not that anyone asked) and aged 10,11,12, whatever drink someone asked for, I'd make one for myself, then when I'd had a few, I'd start hitting on the young nurses.
  20. Most of my friends thought it was all fun and games too, til they turned yellow and died.
  21. I gave up smoking years ago when I had about 30 packets of Samson tobacco. I found it quite helpful having the constant reminder of not wanting to smoke 100's of fags. Haven't had a drink for 3 and half years now. Life feels better to me when I stop letting my various addictions control my life. To answer OP's question, every time you think you want a beer/fag/spliff/whatever, go out in the garden, go for a walk or just do something else for a few minutes. Cravings don't last as long as you think.
  22. Well, after reading all the comments here, I decided to take a different route today. On the way, we took what I thought would be a shortcut, to pass through Nong Bua Lamphu but that road is horrendous. If any of you value your vehicle, I don't suggest you take that road. We just came back from Nong Khai and went straight to Khon Kaen, which was pretty smooth sailing apart from a few very rough patches. As far as I remember, the road from CR to the Phrae area was ok. Don't even get me started on the amount of stress the immigration officers put me through in the last few days. Apart from that though, everything else is tickety boo.
  23. I only have a UK driving licence so I wouldn't be driving. Looks like we might be going back the way we cam anyway, through Thailand. Thanks for your hel anyway. Good to know for the future
