  1. Yes, some municipalities allow you to renew online BUT they'll mail it to your address on file. They won't mail it to Thailand or any other country outside the US. I had a similar question as I didn't know if/when I'd ever return to the homeland and need a rental car. I was told that a legit driver's license from another country would be fine or even an international driver's license, but I think they are only valid for one year.
  2. At age 9/10 I wonder how their lungs can handle any sort of smoke. I tried to smoke my mom's menthol cigarettes at age 16 and I was gagging. Giving kids pot at such a young age is reckless just like buying them liquor. All things considered, pot is a far better choice for anyone than liquor. Drunken fights happen all the time. You never hear about a pothead getting violent though.
  3. Monks and Catholic priests have a lot in common. They both want an easy life without applying themselves to the religious beliefs they signed up for.
  4. In my opinion Caucasians are not obsessed by racism but rather by how black people try to use it as an excuse for not working hard. They claim racism to try to win lawsuits for unwarranted reasons. It's an easy way to try to win some "free" money. Where I came from ANYONE who worked hard would be successful. Claiming racism is an easy way out when you underperformed in school or work. It's the world we live in today. There is SO MUCH crime perpetrated by young black people these days and they aren't being held accountable. Why? Where are their parents? How can a 13-year-old be out committing crimes at 2 in the morning and the parent not know they aren't home. Insanity.
  5. A few Wais can heal all wounds (and get you off the hook for stealing).
  6. So sad. Prayers to his family. They'll be in a tough spot without his income let alone his presence each night. I hope he didn't have any young children.
  7. Oh, it's called "friendly fire" when you shoot your friends. I better "bone up" on this new millennial lingo. They never mentioned what you call it when you shoot someone you really don't like.
  8. His name is Tuhau? Why not Guido or Rocko?? That's a more appropriate Mafia name. C'mon Chinese Mafia. You can get better names.
  9. Can't they find a better place to dump all the used condoms from farang and bar girl interactions? Yeesh!
  10. WOW! Quite a statement. If you think Thailand is hot, wait until you deal with Hell fire.
  11. She was the heart and soul of Fleetwood Mac. She wrote most of their biggest hits altho most don't realize it. Without her the band would have come nowhere close to the fame and success the achieved. RIP Christine.
  12. "has been abducted by a gang that steals and sells children. "...... Is there nothing sacred anymore? Stealing children? Really? How can people stoop so low? How can people have no morals? It absolutely amazes me how nasty and heartless people are becoming in this world. There will be a very special place in Hell for people who harm, exploit or abuse children.
  13. Of course.... spend your time as a police officer, who you swore to uphold the laws of the land, to arrest someone sitting innocently playing a board game while a rape or robbery takes place just down the street. Great job Thai police. Keep us safe from the board games while someone's daughter is being raped. Thumbs up to each and every one of you. Well done! We are FAR safer with the nasty board game players off the streets. Sniff... sniff.... do you smell that? It's sarcasm.
  14. Naked City? Everyone here has clothes on. I might have to consider moving if the female population in your town is over 80%.
  15. No, it's a criminal who had a very poor shot and will spend a good long time in prison bending over for "Bubba".
  16. Is this just for trading on the Thai stock market? Where do they find these people making these types of decisions? No wonder they can't move up in the world as a country.
  17. "The justice minister, this week, underlined a new law coming into force in January 2023 which will allow dangerous offenders to be detained by police on an emergency basis as well as requiring repeat offenders or those thought to be at risk of committing further offences to wear ankle bracelets for up to 10 years after being released from prison."..... Well welcome to the 21st century Thailand. "A 41-year-old repeat offender who falsely imprisoned and raped two women over two nights from November 20th to November 22nd was found to have committed six other similar offences before being recently released from prison.".... I think everyone in the country should be forced to watch doctors cut this guy's penis off on TV as a warning that the same thing will happen to anyone else who abuses women and children.
  18. Sad. Priests of all religions were once revered. These days you see drug abuse, raping of children and so many other nasty things. How did these people end up choosing and being selected to be representatives of God. I'd love to see their conversation with God on judgment day trying to explain their actions. Sorry! Do not pass GO. Proceed straight to Hell.
  19. "the abbot has offered to repay the money".... where is he going to get the money to repay it? How much does an abbot earn? Women make men do the stupidest things.
  20. They could simply add a fee to the cost of the Visa and leave people alone.
  21. "When the suspect refused to surrender and pointed the gun at himself the decision was taken to shoot him in the arm."... I find it incredible that the Thai Police have such great marksmen to hit the guy in the arm. Most police in this situation in other countries are not as skilled. They just shoot hoping to hit "something". Kudos to the police for handling the situation with no one killed.
  22. Yea, you're right of course. Twenty billion that the expats contribute to the economy is meaningless right? I suggest the expats pack up and prepare to leave and see how quickly the Thai govt begs them to stay.
  23. You work for the Thai Chamber of Commerce? Nice! I hope they give you a raise.
