Because horsepower is a gimmick to sell cars. It's a scam. What is a "sports car"? Has to have high horsepower or no one will buy it. But Formula 1 drivers are on a track, not in traffic. There is no such thing as a "sports car". Driving in traffic is not a sport. Or shouldn't be. Apart from those autobahns in Germany where there is no speed limit, maybe.

But cars are forced to stay in lanes at least. Cars are more restricted. Motorbikes are constantly cutting in and out of lanes and going around cars. And cars may harm other people, but at least you are a lot safer in a car. And I saw a guy driving around in a topless Jeep. Looks really cool. He's not going fast at all. It's the complete opposite. He clearly drives this thing to cruise around and to be able to absorb the surroundings. There's no need for racing on the roads. Slow driving is more enjoyable anyway. Are people watching too many action movies or what?

You cannot utilize the maximum speeds of these bikes safely on the roads. It's simply too dangerous. So why bother putting them there in the first place? These things are not being used for getting around, they are for people testing the limits of their daredevil proclivities.

But if a psychologically unhealthy person gets into power, the problems are amplified. So not everyone cares about peace or thinking about the consequences of war. Their minds are too screwed up.
