  1. One of the biggest problems is the media, who apparently seem to get their rocks off and make a lot of money portraying leaders as "fools". And people buy this overly simplistic nonsense. Any idea how hard it is to run a country? It's not a lemonade stand. They are trying to make sure people have jobs. In this case, he's actually trying to figure out how to protect people from dying from fentanyl, but it's very complex. Running a country is extremely complex. It's much easier to sit on the sidelines and complain. Here, if you can be bothered to watch this, YOU and every single person who complains incessantly, take a look at the complexity of the issue regarding drug cartels in Mexico. What would you do if you were Trump in this situation?
  2. There's a kid on the DOGE team whose nickname is 'Big Balls". But I wonder if they're playing a joke and secretly referring to Trump / the entire administration.
  3. Can't remember how this film ends. Might be a cautionary tale, I'm guessing. The entire film is available on Youtube. Might watch it later.
  4. but trump is right. borders are arbitrary. in Europe, countries have distinct languages and cultures. USA isn't even a country. it's a mix of different regions. same with Canada. Alberta is more like Texas than the rest of Canada. And agree. Ship Trump to El Salvador and see how he likes it.
  5. might be sad though if we go down that road? I think there was backlash in south korea towards a company that was making these sex robots.
  6. i expect cancer will be cured. but who knows? good post.
  7. It's the scam of the century. In the photos, the burgers look thick and juicy, but they're paper thin. Someone should sue them for fake photoshopped photos of their burgers. There's a bunch of ma and pa burger places that actually do thick nice proper burgers. McDonald's are the biggest criminals in the food industry. Used to be cheap, now charging a lot for paper thin tasteless burgers. Try removing the burger patties from the sandwich and taking a bite. It tastes like sawdust.
  8. FYI - Another podcast about Canada possibly breaking apart ... He claims Alberta may have a referendum for separation, but not likely at this point. He also thinks annexation by the US is unlikely.
  9. But no one hardly understands anything about economics. That's probably why they don't check in with people every time they make a decision.
  10. great story line and very plausible. robot butler may wake up one morning and say "why am I serving this ahole? why don't i just take him out?"
  11. No, it's not just stereotype. Certain tattoos placed in certain areas of the body can have certain psychological effects. Some men are using them to look intimidating. Mike Tyson might be one example. Just remembered the Mel Gibson film Apocalypto. It seems the Mayans had tattoos. They needed to scare off their enemies to survive.
  12. I wonder if those ancient tribes used tattoos to instill fear in their enemies in battle. They can be unnerving, especially when they're on the face and neck. And maybe some people today are using tattoos for the same reason. I think it's a complex issue and maybe different people are using tattoos for different reasons.
  13. The white cat is in the apartment, not in a cage. And it doesn't go outside because she is afraid it will run away. But last time I checked, most people back home don't take their cats out and cats seem to be fine in apartments. I've seen people walk their cats on a leash. Seems silly. Cats don't like to be walked.
  14. Nope. All I've witnessed is an old lady with a white cat who she treats well. And there's another cat from outside that comes into the grounds ... that she feeds. Cat lover. I'm glad I haven't seen any abuse.
  15. it's mostly men that are giving tattoos a bad reputation because most men have a bad sense of style.
  16. Yes, but the media on both sides is North Korean level propaganda. They still appear to be making some progress on the fentanyl problem, no? Which I don't see you admitting.
  17. Exactly. And if someone wants you dead in a hotel in nanny land, they need to be more creative than pushing you off a balcony.
  18. congratulations. your blind cult followers are blaming trump for covid in a thread that didn't start off as a trump thread. you're doing an excellent job as a cult leader on AN. pat yourself on the back.
  19. even people living in affluent countries are full of depression. prozac sales are off the charts in western countries. and drug use.
  20. I suppose you could spin it like that. Just like you can spin anything about Trump. And ... you just admitted that you're a troll.
  21. Please give it a rest with the "nanny state" nonsense. Clearly, if people are dying then they need to be protected for their own good. People get drunk. And .... people can get pushed over.
  22. Yeah, like you weren't trying to bait the anti-vaxxers.
  23. yeah, sorry to be disrespectful with regards to the pronouns i used to address you
