So since he forced her into a dressing room, forcibly kissed and penetrated her with his fingers, he was not a rapist by 1996 legal standards; but by modern standards, he is a rapist.

The charges were not dropped in the NY state fraud trial. Trump was convicted of 34 felonies. Sentencing has been delayed, and his felony convictions are not going away unless an appeals court shuts them down. Trump's 2 federal cases have been/ will be dismissed, although they could be refiled in 2028. Let me express my utter lack of shock that a Trump supporter has no idea Trump is a convicted felon.
