  1. How many Thais do you think are rich enough to pay into a pension. Most money is sucked into the corruption system, so there will never be enough unless that is sorted.
  2. Their (TAT) obsession is rich tourists, not poor people (95% other people).
  3. Daily Mail is not a good source of anything related to reality
  4. Get rid of the all students must mentality. This will remove manu useless students (academically) from getting into the universities. The quality will increase.
  5. Cannabis is not a crisis or problem, just needs effective implementation. The crisis of major proportions that threatens Thai society is Yaba
  6. If Thailand can ever sort its inadequate tax system, and the endemic corruption then there would be enough money for a universal care system/Thai health service
  7. Many countries have far worse problems than Thailand. It is mostly a good place to be.
  8. I love Thai food, but occasionally have farang food, and my partner is a very good cook. I do not suffer in terms of lifestyle 😄
  9. Easy to live on 50-60k, on 70-80-90 and above doing very well, if not extravagant. Thailand is ridiculously cheap to live on a relatively small income.
  10. Most of my partner's relatives would be classed as very poor, this is in a rural area south of Chiang Mai
  11. Certain areas not getting enough rain, and other areas getting too much which goes into the catchments so downstream danger of flooding.
  12. The Chao Praya water level is very high at Bang Pho; also some piers are inaccessible due to high water levels. So hope they have all their flodd preparations ready to deal with this.
  13. Indeed, I emphasise to my student that they are to ask questions of me, and I am happy if they find I have made a mistake (Not too common but sometimes it happens). The reason being it means they are paying attention, and learning. Although one student (who is very bright) got a shock when he had to do the UCAT exam. Any teacher who is not able to deal with questions probably does not have enough information in their head, and should not be teaching children that are thinking about what they are being taught. Any reasonable teacher should be able to answer the student;s question, or be able to direct them to sources where they can fnd out quality information that will answer their questions. There are problems linked into lack of ambition of Thai students to be a good thinker & successful as a result of being able to think well. None want to study abroad when they are perfectly capable of learning in an outside of Thailand university (money is not the problem). They just pick the easy option, it is easy to get into Thai universities compared to good universities abroad.
  14. Maybe he is a dysfunctional LLM AI developed by Homer Simpson
  15. I would suggest that the person you are replying to should get some form of psychiatric diagnosis, yet because of the 'problem' he is unlikely accept the therapy. So, the last resot is for us rational people to use the ignore facility offered by aseannow.
  16. No, homeopathic so-called medicines have been diluted to such an extent that they have no active levels of whatever ingredient they started of with containing. So any effect is purely due to placebo effect. They can have no effect on stimulation of the immune system due to not containing enough molecules of whatever the proposed homoepathic so-called' medicine is supposed to contain. Any effect on the immune system must therefore be due to the brain sending signals that stimulate the immune system, drive by placebo effect. For more evidence you need to consult the available scientific literature. A good place to start would be to use pubmed.gov
