Foul-Smelling Trail of Feces Found in Thai Parliament

Probably an acute case of diarrhoea. No escape when it happens. Many MPs are very old, so anatomical functions do not so well. I hope they have gone to seek treatment. -

All vehicles need to inspected by registered garages in order to get their vehicle tax registration assuming they pass a good safety inspection. Then Ministry of Transport has to monitor the garages effectively, and any fraudulent safety inspection certificates obtained via corruption. This horrific disaster must never happen again. -

Frozen in time: British expats losing out on pensions in Thailand

The evasion is enormous especially coupled to being hidden in tax havens (~36billion Pounds per anuum; ~570 billion Pounds held in tax havens). This was/is facilitated by government policies over the last party's many years of government. London has much of the world's dirty money flowing through it (~88 billion Pounds per annuum). If this was investigated by Inland Revenue more thoroughly then all these other things would be forgotten about. The country would be swimming in money. All pensions could be triple-locked. -

Yes, a post code lottery. But my mother had an ambulance twice within 30 minutes in south of Glasgow. So, it can be fairly fast if the condition is serious. The wait occurred at the Queen Elizabeth hospital, the second time to get a bed. She had excellent treatment. -

What does the average British expat think of Tommy?
MarkBR replied to Kinok Farang's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Most on the far right are Islamophobic. My mother only decided she liked Jewish people when she found out they killed Muslims. Devout member of the Hang'em & Flog'em brigade since 1955. I have heard all far-right fascist lunacies prior to her death. I doubt Satan will let her into Hell. -

Had lawyers say the Thai legal system is impossible to deal with for Scottish/English legal firms as the Thai system has priority in Thailand - Not a surprise. So make a Thai Will. -

Yup, same thing in Thailand on a big funeral pyre. Although, one suggestion the OH had was that he would have me mummified so that we could both be burnt together - an even bigger funeral pyre! Given that I would dead, that does not worry me. -
A soft southern Irish accent is very pleasant to listen to.

Name your favorite newspapers from around the globe. All languages.

On the right I would suggest the Economist as a fairly (but not always) rational decent source of information. Guardian, leftwing but too London-centric. Telegraph was good in the past, now just a pretentious version of the Daily Mail ever since it got rid of decent journalists - e.g. Peter Oborne. Daily Mail disconnected from reality with extreme biases. Mirror is as bad leftwing as DM & Sun rightwing - all more useful as regards their absorbency abilties as toilet paper. Recent media that has emerged with limited less obvious biases: Bylines, Tortoise, and few others I cannot call to mind. Al-Jazeera - bearing in mind obvious biases. NO Chinese media is trustworthy as all dance to the CCP tune. BBC not trustworthy as it is/was completely for Brexit (bias from Laura Kuenssberg was most blatant), 100% pro-Union (no balance from many BBC commentators - blatant bias from many, if not all BBC commentators). -

Need to know whether this is acurate given that it is the Daily Torygraph which is no longer regarded as a quality news paper. On a par with Daily Bile with pretensions. -
Using antibiotics when you have no infection is a really really stupid idea. This drives antibiotic resistance, and means that when individuals do get an infection is it might not be curable. All antibiotic usage must be when required and nothing extra. Extra info - antibiotic usage in livestock to generate more profit is another major problem behind resistance.
