  1. Yes. You can avoid the fee by using Cardless ATM on your phone though. I never use my card, I always use my phone these days. Scan the barcodes in store, or use PromptPay in the market!
  2. Use the yellow bank; Krungsri. You can change address, request 12 month bank statements, get new debit cards and passbooks in any branch - regardless of where you originally set up the account. I've been using mine for 10 years. Using the card-less ATM function on your mobile app is free to use - no withdrawal fees regardless of which province you're in.
  3. Thank you very much. I can relax now. Thank you all for your input, much appreciated. Have a good day!
  4. Ah, so I don't need to provide the references at the time of application to the embassy? This is something the local office requests in TH when we sign?
  5. It does seem ridiculous that one needs to have references to show your single. Doesn't the embassy check to see if you have a marriage registered in the UK?
  6. This is what I was reading earlier this morning, which makes me think you need references for both methods; online and via paper form. I still need to go to the embassy in BKK if I apply online or in person to do the actual signing, so there shouldn't be any difference in requirements right?
  7. I'm getting married within the next few months, and I know I have to prepare documents with the British Embassy that show I'm single etc. I've never been married previously, and I've lived in Thailand for a long time - around 10 years. I have no family in the UK, and I haven't kept in touch with friends back home. How can I get references from people who are not resident in Thailand? Thank you!
