Taxi drivers protest against Pheu Thai-Bhumjaithai coalition
Brickleberry replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Since when do Thai taxi drivers have morals? Whenever I'm in Bangkok, it's virtually impossible to get them to turn the meter on without admonishing them in terse Thai. -
Wissanu asks Thaksin not to return on weekends or public holidays
Brickleberry replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Wissanu has nothing to worry about. Thaksin is more likely to appear naked in my mother's bedroom than coming back to Thailand. -
Thai universities investigated over alleged research plagiarism
Brickleberry replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Isn't this an annual story? It's not just the academics who are plagiarizing, how many MPs have been caught claiming they have advanced degrees from diploma mills abroad? -

Constitutional Court Postpones Considering Pita’s Renomination Case
Brickleberry replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I'm shocked. I was expecting them to throw out the proposal, as there is precedent. I suspect the court thought that if they didn't issue an injunction on the vote for tomorrow, that the MP's would sort it out amongst themselves in their rush to get their snouts in the trough. They didn't count on the Speaker of the House refusing to move on until the court issues a ruling. -
Constitutional Court Postpones Considering Pita’s Renomination Case

There won't be a vote. The Speaker of the House has also postponed tomorrow's vote. -
Companies should focus on their bottom line, not top or bottom surgery. I couldn't care less what Costa's marketing team thinks on any given issue, they are not politicians, decision makers or a pressure group. I care about the price, taste and service of my coffee. In the same vein, people boycotting Costa over this are a bit ridiculous. I'm surprised they didn't complaint that the cartoon image only had 3 fingers instead of five. The joke's on them though.... avoiding Costa means you have to settle for a Gregg's coffee, or even worse, Starbucks.

Joe Biden Forgets to Sign Executive Order at Event
Brickleberry replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Pointless response. -
Thank you. So many people forget that the reason Charles is 'king' is because he happened to fall out of Q.E.II's vagina. I say fall, because he must have hit his head. Who else talks to flowers? We spend so much time attacking perceived and real injustices about equal rights; men & women pay disparity, gender & racial discrimination, rich and poor divide, LGBTQIA+ etc. yet the most fundamental right that we are all born equal is completely forgotten when talking about the 'royal' family.

Joe Biden Forgets to Sign Executive Order at Event
Brickleberry replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Why is it that most professions must retire around 65, but politicians just keep on going until they drop? Personally, I think it's ridiculous that the President of The United States is 80 years old... there should definitely be an age limit. Just look at Mitch the other day, stopped speaking, frozen in place and couldn't remember what was going on. We should thank these people for their service, and send them on to retirement. Times change, and these people were educated over half a century ago... do they really understand how things work these days? I think 75 should be the upper limit. This would keep Biden & Trump out of the race! Everyone is a winner and we can finally move on. -
Savankhet nono visa
Brickleberry replied to expatocean's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Finances are not an issue, that's all sorted. Extension based on marriage, not retirement. Sorry, I should have mentioned that! -

Brickleberry replied to expatocean's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Savankhet nono visa
Brickleberry replied to expatocean's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I'm wondering, when is the latest i can do a 12 month extension on my non-O visa, is it 30 days or 14 days prior to it ending? What do I need to bring to the immigration office in Ubon, using the income method? Thank you. -
NEWS FLASH! Fastest car manages to get first place. That being said, he's facing a 5 place grid penalty because he's changed too many gear box parts, so the story isn't quite accurate, Charles Leclerc took pole position.

How? His party holds 71 seats. The only way he can come to power, and the only way the conservatives can continue to rule this country, is if the MFP + PTP break away from each other. Pita + Thaksin don't seem to realize that they have a super majority in parliament and can frustrate the conservatives into capitulating. If the two parties stick together, which is what the electorate want, then they will succeed. In the unlikely event that the conservatives form a minority government, they won't be able to achieve anything because the MFP + PTP can vote 'no', call a 'no confidence' vote straight away and depose the conservative government. A simple majority vote would enable this scenario to take place, and a fresh election held within the next few months. The only way they lose their chance to form the next government is if they work with the old government. Don't do it, stick together, and watch democracy flourish.
