  1. Never been in Pattaya for Songkran, but out here in the sticks its the best 3 days of the year, all the kids get well excited, it reminds me of my kids when they still believed in Father Xmas. I can't jump in and out of the pick-up so easily but I get strapped in with at least 3 water guns and one of the young ones loading up for Papa, 2 big blue barrels strapped to big sons D Max, last year they got filled 4 times at the local fire station, great fun.
  2. Whatever, not going to argue over trying to answer another members question.
  3. The Sky News Video shows about 10 seconds earlier than the BBC version, which starts just as they stop. I did see the Palestinian Red Crescent version but can't link it on here.
  4. Yes, there is a Sky News video at the bottom of the opening post.
  5. I'm more than willing to wait for the outcome of this investigation: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) initially denied targeting ambulances, claiming troops fired on vehicles believed to be carrying Hamas militants. However, following the release of video evidence, the IDF admitted its earlier account was “mistaken” but maintained that six of those killed had links to Hamas—a claim for which no evidence has been provided. Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Israel’s army chief, has ordered a deeper investigation into the incident after an initial review concluded that troops acted out of a “sense of threat
  6. Your opinion , not mine, more than willing to accept any Independently verified evidence, not the one sided ones that any unbiased neutral would question, never mind a Court of Law. It is not me who has chosen to ignore Internationally recognise protocol, I was hoping information on the history of the ICRC might help you change your position.
  7. So you ignore the Custom and Practice of The International Committee of the Red Cross. founded in 1863, incorporating The Red Crescent in 1876, Nobel Peace Prize winners in 1917,1944 and 1963. Since June 2006, Magen David Adom has been officially recognized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as the national aid society of the State of Israel under the Geneva Conventions, and a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society. I question both of your posted clips, the first one of the Hamas combatant being picked-up, and clearly wounded, as a casualty from The Erez Crossing, by the Red Crescent. The other clip of Hamuda Riad Asad Shamalahis is clearly while he is in Israeli custody, which I wouldn't question if it was independently verifiable that it was not taken under duress.
  8. From 2 year to 5 year Thai driving licence at DLT Phichit. Booked appointment on-line on the 8th April 2023, First available appointment, today at 09.30 -10.30 arrived at 09.35 just as the privious Thai customer got up from desk, waved straight in by a young lady who asked "how can I help you" already had the app open showing my appointment, Pass Port she said, had all relevant paperwork in a folder that I opened and gave to her, all checked out, copies of first page of PP and Visa page, Certificate of Residence plus copy, Medical Certificate, all smiles then she said something in Thai, I shook my head and she went for her phone, type into it and showed me, Licence please, it said, I smiled the thing you've gone to update is sat in my arse pocket, quickly got it out and she laughed when I said stupid "falange" forgot the most important document. She the directed me into the next room to see an instruction video of the expected tests, sadly all in Thai, but easy to get the gist of what you have to do, Traffic lights for colour blindness, stop and go pedals, 2 sticks in a box, which you have to get within an inch of each other horizontally, and finally a perifocal test. Called out by another Lady who didn't speak any English to do the tests, all passed in about 5 minutes, and then given a sheaf of paperwork to take into another room. Told by the Cashier to put papers in tray and take a seat, she then called a Thai over and after 5 mins it was my turn, any Thai she says, no says I, 505baht please says the cashier, hands over a 1000baht note and fished 5 baht out of the skyrocket, she smiles, gives me a 500baht note, and points to a few seats near a camera set-up. A young lad is getting his picture taken by another Lady operative, and a young girl is making sure her face is ok in a mirror before taking the seat that the young lad has vacated, a few words are exchanged then the girl gets up and it's my turn, wave a hand through my golden locks and straighten my shirt collar, I can see she's thinking "hansum man" quick pic and shown back to the cashier, could see it was going to be a few minutes before the new licence was ready, so popped out the office for a fag in the smoking area that was signposted, got a 3 in 1 coffee off a vender when the lad in front of me tapped me on the shoulder and showed me his receipt and new licence, indicating mine was ready, got the coffee marched back in and the cashier gave me the licence and receipt, the receipt timed at 10.10.54. Overall a great experience, no problems whatsoever, well done Phichet DLT.
  9. "The Palestinian Red Crescent assisted Hamas in the October 7 attack on Israel." What is being shown here is a Hamas combatant who has been wounded being picked up by a Red Crescent Ambulance crew, all perfectly legal and complying with the International Humanitarian Law, in my opinion. Respecting and Protecting Health Care in Armed Conflicts and in Situations Not Covered by International Humanitarian Law https://www.icrc.org/sites/default/files/document/file_list/health-care-law-factsheet-icrc-eng.pdf
  10. The question wasn't particularly aimed at you, it was an open question, observation that I feel needs to be established so both sides know what they are signing up for.
