  1. The price of things across Thailand is fairly standard. Take away Nana and river trips and shopping malls what does Bangkok have? Just a whole heap of people rushing around. It is a mess.
  2. Quality women exist in any part. To attract a quality woman however you have to be a quality man. Most farangs in Isaan are poor quality. So they get 7s or 4s. Millions of women live in Isaan. They don't all want to live in Bangkok or Pattaya. Mine hates Bangkok, likes Chiang Mai. Enjoys the quiet life. If you want a big city girl find one from Bangkok. If you want a quiet girl go to smaller towns. If you want a bargirl go to Pattaya. You won't find bananas on an apple tree.
  3. Agree. Imagine if both Hua Hin and Pattaya had decent airports. Then put a rail link between the cities.
  4. Easier to have 2 friends and ignore the rest. Headache having lots of friends.
  5. The main idea is HH to KL or Sing or Chiang Mai. Even Rai to HH. Some people want to skip Bangkok. Sing to Phuket. Travel to Hua Hin. Fly Sing. Good trip.
  6. Walking on hot roads bare feet in 35 degrees after eating bad food and praying all day is fun?
  7. No you don't. Can move money into any currency they list. Dollars, baht, francs, whatever.
  8. Yes but it is same same in suburbs. No beaches or mountains. Not the same as going to Phattalung or Khanom or Ko Chang or another country. If single and able travel is outstanding in this region.
  9. No thanks. I don't know you.
  10. Yes nice area. Have driven it. Chang and Kood amazing islands. Airport in Trat. Pattaya close if want. If it had a train line it would be ideal.
  11. If single and fit travel is the go. Staying in one spot makes sense if settled or busy working only.
  12. Udon is a sizeable city not small. Plenty of traffic. Rather ugly place. Plenty of bargirls there but low quality. Really can't see the appeal. Nongkhai is ok but limited. The other places get boring quick. If single all these towns in Isaan are fine for short trips but long term rather average. Korat has some appeal but no airport which is strange for a large city. Khon Kaen is ok with airport links to north and south. I think Chiang Mai, Rai, Phitsanulok or a beach town is the go. Apart from the smoke the north is very good. The food is better, airports (huge plus), pretty girl. Lots of road trips. Beach areas - anywhere from Hua Hin to Nakhon Si is good. Jomtien to Chantaburi is good.
  13. Water, minerals, protein, sun, shelter. That is all you need. When I see these monks walking on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere with bare feet you realise how soft westerners are.
  14. I just proved you wrong on the 2nd law. You had no idea.
  15. I don't agree with the food cost figures. A lot of Isaan towns have more expensive meals than Phuket if near the Mekong.
  16. Don't go to walking street. Place is famous for ladyboys.
  17. X rated forum. Not family friendly.
  18. Compared to cancer, car crash, murder etc being splashed with water is a joy. No shirt indicates he expected it and maybe drunk. Then lies to police. A thug. 8 years in jail.
  19. Having been to Phuket many times and spent time in Ayuthaya, Ubon, Surin, Buriram in April I can tell you Phuket has dream weather.
  20. Humidity only 58%. This feels like stuff is a bit of nonsense.
