Is there any need to give my Thai girlfriend log in details of my UK investments?
Yes, you're right, if she has the death certificate the bank should release the funds without login details being required.

Aussie Women Get Green Light to Sue Qatar Airways for Airport Ordeal
Yes, that's why they pursue legal action against Qatar Airways, like terriers. The principle of it. Nothing to do with the truck loads of cash they hope to get, I'm sure. You realise if Qatar Airways has to shell out on a big judgement, this will make flights more expensive for all of us?

Someone can explain this to me?
I guess importers are getting creative declaring 2500 USD laptops as 500 USD laptops. Shocking dishonesty.

Where do you fit in Thailand?
Which is fine in a way, if all you want is a young body, it's much easier. The body wil become less enticing after a while though, as you get used to it. For me nothing less than a Yu Yu Sai or a Doobydopap would do, I need a woman with spirit and personality. Yes, I think there is something very off with Brooke Shields anyway, as was to be expected of one who was lauded for her beauty so young. But then something was off with Agassi as well, as he pursued a woman 28 years older than him, Streisand. Anyway, he lucked out and hit the jackpot with someone who's a kindred spirit. That's always the best. Graf is obviously a great person.

Of course Alpha men sleep around, and the women who get him know that and accept that. Until they get used to the benefits the Alpha brings, and achieve material success in their own right. Then it becomes about power and some women cannot accept sharing the Alpha anymore. It is well documented that Priscilla knew Elvis was philandering and accepted it. Until she achieved material wealth in her own right, and of course that feeling of being in love fades. No matter how good looking he (or she) is, how rich, how many benefits he brings, ultimately you get used to them and they lose the meaning they once had. Elvis of course did choose the wrong woman, he should have chosen Ann Margret, a kindred spirit, and he knew it, but he felt compelled to stay married to Priscilla, despite his philandering. Men are like that. Women are quick to divorce, men are not. He therefore did not pursue Ann Margret, and thus his opportunity with her was lost. Undoubtedly the loss of Priscilla hit Elvis hard, his music, his antics of shooting TVs when Karl Stone came on, his discussion to have Priscilla's lover killed, all these things showed it hit hm hard. Plus he lost his daughter of course. So I would say, even for a rich Alpha with fame, a course correction is a big deal. Sure, he could have good looking great women, after her. But really, a woman who reaches all the parts other's can't reach doesn't come by so often. How many times do you meet a "best friend? Very rarely. To keep a relationship going is inordinately difficult, because it takes two parties. And it starts new every day. Even for Alphas. Money, whilst a requirement, is certainly not sufficient.

Actually, the Alpha male also only gets sex after he proves his worth. The difference is that he's already proven his worth, because he is in the top spot of the hierarchy, but he got there by showing empathy, kindness, competence and generally being admired, so he is granted the top spot in the hierarchy. And of course women don't want the Alpha just "for him", they want him because he is the top of the hierarchy and this brings privileges of many kinds. However, history is littered with the stories of Alpha males who were discarded by women, Elvis Presley, Cary Grant, Don Frye, Tom Brady, the list is endless. Just being an Alpha doesn't guarantee you'll be winning. It's the other way around, if you win and get top spot, you become the Alpha. However, as sure as there's taxes and prayers in Church, the Alpha will have been an incel at some point of his life, an involuntary celibate, and some woman will have rebuffed his sexual advances. Ultimately others decide who is Alpha, mostly women, and an Alpha will be both an Alpha and a Beta in his lifetime. Indeed you can be an Alpha and a Beta at the same time, depending on how two women see you. Otherwise your post is accurate.

EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
Details, details.
-
EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
The press release said "vast amounts". My bet's on billions.
-
EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
That's part of it, but the Brits played it much smarter, they accepted the slap in the face and did not try and pretend they can smack just as hard. When the EU slapped the US with tariffs they angered Trump. Von der Leyen should have read Art of the Deal, only take out the stick if you're able to use it. In the end they just conceded. Poor form after a big mouth. Britain by contrast, by design aimed to avoid slapping the US with tariffs and was conciliatory. It paid off for them.

EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
The 800 billion figure was what the Germans pledged to spend on their own arms industry, but it is clear now that instead a major proportion of that money will go to the US instead to buy American weapons. The press release said "vast amounts" of military goods, so it will be hundreds of billions, just as with energy. What commitments has Trump made to buy EU arms, EU energy or to invest in the EU? Zilch, nada, zero, niente. In addition the EU products are now slapped with a much higher tariff than before. Yes, Donald Trump only got 99.9% of what he wanted. I still can't believe the Brits managed to negotiate 10%, with their dying economy, and the EU a market hundreds of million souls larger could only manage a 15% reduction. Terrible negotiators from the EU.
-
EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
Well, it's a bad thing from Europe's perspective. The 800 billion the Germans had earmarked to invest in THEIR arms industry will now be largely spent on funding the American arms industry. For many months now von der Leyen has been singing the mantra of becoming self-sufficient and independent from the US, to find a European way. So now they will become dependent on America's arms industry? Bizarre. I don't recall Russia ever imposing 30% tariffs or messing the EU about on trade the way the US has, when Russia was delivering cut price energy. It certainly is. And Trump did not include Aluminium and Steel in the deal, which still have more than 15% slapped on them. Pharmaceuticals too in limbo sitll. It's really a terrible deal for Europe.

EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
I think you've completely misunderstood the effect of the tariffs. The American consumer is not going to pay an extra 15% if he can get an equivalent product that's 15% cheaper. Usually it's local subsidiaries of the EU companies that are importing the products from the EU. The American consumer will pay what he wants to pay, and if he can get a similar product cheaper, he can buy the cheaper product, he's under no obligation to buy a more expensive EU product. This is the whole point of tariffs, to hobble the overseas competition and to favour local companies. If the American consumer will pay the 15% why are EU broadsheets saying the 15% tariffs will hit EU companies hard? It's indeed simple mathematics, the EU is not making 15% tariffs on US products, and there are far fewer of them the EU is importing anyway. Again, it's a deal that massively favours the US.
-
EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
Because it is. Every single major EU broadsheet is saying so. After all, this will bring an additional 90 billion USD into American coffers, and Trump has got away with redefining the EU and UJS trade relationship greatly to America's favour. In addition the EU has committed to purchase 600 plus billion US military equipment and to buy 700 billion plus of US energy, and agreed to invest 600 bililon in the US. No wonder Trump is jubilant and von der Leyen is subdued. This is a great deal for the US, a very poor deal for the EU. Their aim was just to avoid a trade war and to retain the US as military muscle in NATO. Otherwise they'd never have agreed to such a poor deal.
-
EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
It is absolutely astounding, given the size of the EU market that the EU negotiators were not able to negotiate a better deal than British negotiators. EU negotiatiors must be the worst in the world.
-
EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
Yes, indeed, the leftist Trump haters were deriding his tariffs. However, turns out, it was these very tariffs, in particular the threat of higher tariffs, which motivated the EU to accept "recalibrating" the trade relationship with the US, in the Americans' favour. So once again, the leftists were wrong, and Trump was proven right. His tariffs were incredibly effective. 90 billion USD gained for the US. Incidentally, the EU obtaining a 15% tariff vindicates Britons' who claimed they can do better without the EU, the British only got a 10% tariff, even though their economy is in the toilet, and the EU is a far greater market. This only underlines how abysmally poor the Europeans are at negotiating.
-
EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
Very true, try telling that to the deranged fear freaks of Germany, France, and Poland, and Lithuania, not to mention Sweden, Finland et al. However, to be fair, those people have to prepare for the worst case scenario, and a war with Russia would be that of course, so they have to prepare for that.
-
EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
Trump has said he will restructure global trade - and he has. He is a man that gets things done. And von der Leyen has accepted the "recalibration". Success for Trump on all fronts.
-
EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
No, the EU also needs the US military muscle in NATO, without it, they'd be at the mercy of Russia et al. And EU dependence on US market access is gigantic. So overall, the EU is the truly dependant one, and the result of the negotiation bears this out of course.
-
EU Folds - Agrees 15% Tariff
The history books will show that Donad Trump was the first president to truly understand how dependent the EU is on the US, in fact, it was his threat of tariffs being higher which made the EU comply with his demands. That and the EU's dependence on US military muscle in NATO. With his threat of tariffs Trump has made von der Leyen bend the knee and Europeans are still celebrating that there was no trade deal escalation, as losing the US market access would have been a disaster, just as paying even more would have been or losing US military co-operation. Trump understood how much better his cards were, and so did von der Leyen.
