  1. I fantasize about fat girls too sometimes, Celsius, mostly I wonder if I'm long enough to make it inside. Or if I'd just have to do with the fat flaps. Would one even notice?
  2. I don't particularly care, to be honest. The question is, for me, is it an enjoyable car to drive? Sitting in the Porsche SUV, there's no doubt it's a fine car, though of course it was a joint project with VW and Audi. I bought the Touareg, and even though it was essentially the same car as the Porsche SUV and a fine SUV, I still wish I'd got the Porsche instead. Of course having said that, an ultra fun car like that Vanderhall, why not.
  3. That's a pretty disgusting post, given that the most graphic videos of starving Palestinian children are on the news screens every day. https://www.bbc.com/news/videos/czryry57x4do
  4. So when Russia comes at us with jet fighters we should scare them off with 500 Dollar drones? Drones work in attack, not so much in defence.
  5. Crooked oversized teeth are a major problem in Asia, due to the smaller skull and jaw. People make fun of the English for bad teeth, but so many Thais never ever go to the dentist as children, negligent parents, or poor parents.
  6. It's completely over the top. Even in Central Festival you still see girls wearing this face mask. I'm almost convinced they just can't be bothered to put make-up.
  7. I think in Asia generally, not just Thailand, there is a very pronounced, how to put this delicately, womanly fear. This most likely has to do with the Asians having lower testosterone levels than Caucasians and Blacks, which is also why Ladyboys are much more prevalent in Asia, as is homosexuality.
  8. Virginia Giuffre was recruited at 16, above the age of consent in most countries in the world. Giuffre was a documented, proven liar. It was her testimony that got Maxwell thrown in jail. There was one Jane Doe who claimed she was 13 and filed a lawsuit against Maxwell, but not clear that was an invention or fact. Annie Farmer was in her mid 20s when she claims she was assaulted by Epstein and Maxwell. ' Her criminal indictment related to one girl that was 14. That's the youngest age of a verified victim. Now, should Maxwell serve some time for recruiting for Epstein? Given that some of the girls were 14, which is above the age of consent of some countries, but below the age consent in most US states, clearly the answer is yes. However, 20 years is insane. She didn't kill anybody. Her sentence should be reduced to something sensible like a year, and she should be set free for time served.
  9. Cucurella that untalented side-show Bob getting paid millions for doing nothing at all.
  10. It's a silly question really, anyone in their right mind would choose a Porsche, as the build quality of the Porsche is unrivalled anywhere, even Germany. This is common knowledge. Second would obviously be Mercedes, and third BMW. Having said of course there has to be a model specific clarification. The 996 Porsche would probably lose out to a Mercedes Gullwing. A Mercedes A Class would lose out to a Porsche Cayenne, obviously. I am not talking status, I'm talking pure desirability of the car, build quality, value etc.
  11. It's inconceivable that the Thais would shoot a Cambodian soldier on purpose as they know, given the tensions in the area, that would result in a major incident and potentially war. Clearly what happened was that both sides massed troops in the area, something that was started by Cambodia. Given the amassing of troops by both sides even routine patrols could lead to misinterpretations and incidents. Cambodia had been sending people there to sing patriotic songs and provoke the military. It looks like it was all started by Cambodia and provoked by Cambodia, but of course you can't know for sure, as neither has given credible accounts of what happened exactly.
  12. It's always the case that the weaker party seeks international arbitration at the UN, ICJ and so on, while the stronger party wants a simple bi-lateral solution. Hardly surprising, the same as in any other conflict. However, there was already a bilateral border commission set up by Thailand and Cambodia to resolve the issue. Why did Cambodia refuse to use it, ask yourself why that is? Because Cambodia wants to settle this issue in its favour for good, they do not want a series of flare ups of Thai claims on the disputed border lands to happen, again and again. Cambodia knows it's in a tenous position because it is wedged between Vietnam and Thailand and both are stronger than Cambodia. This is why Cambodia has been stirring up nationalist sentiment in relation to the temple lands, why do you think they're sending people to sing all these patriotic songs? Obviously that's a provocation for the Thai forces there. Both parties massed troops in that area. Both parties tried to take actions which provoked the other, it was only a question of time before it flared up. Thailand is resorting to military force as it knows its military is stronger, and it is a means to move border markers and gain de facto control of some of the disputed area. Cambodia was foolish to try and force the issue. And btw, it's hardly surprising Thailand refuses to acknowledge ICJ jurisdiction, after international powers like France cheated Thailand, and the ICJ in the 60s falsely awarded the temple to Cambodia, a decision even some judges on the ICJ case at the tiime found repugnant.
  13. Nonsense, it is the Cambodians who want to force the issue and settle it once and for all. Because they fear that Thailand will again and again raise territorial claims on lands the Cambodians consider is theirs by right. Cambodia is wedged between Vietnam and Thailand, and they know the Thais are stronger militarily. That is why they want to settle the territorial dispute and are provoking the issue, so it gets settled now. They don't want a protracted series of claims by Thailand flaring up. The border conflict now is the result of both countries, not just Thailand, massing troops in the area, and this caused instability as even innocent patrols could be a cause of mishaps. The killing of the Cambodian soldier was mostly likely accidental. Both sides massed their troops on that border.
  14. No, these are a one-sided selective collection of facts which omit some rather pertinent and important facts, namely: 1) The 1907 French map was supposed to be based on the watershed line between Thailand and Cambodia. That was in the 1904 Franco-Siamese boundary treaty. That was the agreement between France and Thailand. 2) The French blatantly disregarded this agreement, and instead did NOT follow the watershed line, and instead awarded themselves the historic temple and surrounding land, even though it is clearly on the Thai side of the watershed line. 3) It is possible, indeed likely, that this was not at all an error by the French. The French had long been a pioneer in South East Asian studies, and no doubt realised the historic importance of the temple. The purposeful award of the temple to the French side, was probably an attempt to deceive the Thais and gain territory for the French. 4) An impartial judge on the ICJ recognised all the above and clearly stated that the land and temple should have been awarded to Thailand. 5) The 2013 ICJ ruling does not affect the north of the temple lands, adjacent to the temple, which has always and continues to be recognised as Thai. Indeed the judgement also said the road to the Temple should be controlled by Thailand.
  15. Here the original dissenting opinion from Sir Percy Spender, who was clearly of the view that the temple and the surrounding land should have been awarded to Thailand: https://www.icj-cij.org/sites/default/files/case-related/45/045-19620615-JUD-01-06-EN.pdf
  16. Yes, and something clearly objectionable, which is why Porsche made the newer models larger and more comfortable. Good call.
  17. Yes but looking at the map, at the time this temple and land should have been awarded to Thailand. The French draughtsman just made a clear error in handing it to Cambodia. "In 1907, the Thai-Cambodian border was mapped by the French on behalf of a bilateral border commission. According to the 1904 agreement, the border would follow the natural watershed between the countries. However, the resulting map deviated by showing Preah Vihear Temple as being in Cambodia, even though it is on the Thai side of the watershed. Thailand accepted the map for official use. The Thais discovered the error when they made their own survey in the 1930s, but the ICJ ruled that they had waited too long to protest and lost the temple by "acquiescence". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008–2013_Cambodian–Thai_border_crisis Indeed so grievous was the error by the French that when the ICJ in the 60s accepted the map and awarded the temple to Cambodia, one of the judges gave a scathing opinion of dissent: "Australian judge Sir Percy Spender wrote a scathing dissent for the minority on the court, however, pointing out that the French government had never mentioned Thai "acquiescence" or acceptance at any time, not even when Thailand stationed military observers at the temple in 1949. On the contrary, France always insisted that their map was correct and the temple was located on their side of the natural watershed (which it clearly is not). Thailand had modified its own maps, which in Spender's opinion was sufficient without having to protest to France. Spender said: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preah_Vihear_Temple
  18. But it's so cramped when you sit in one of the small older Porsches.
  19. I much prefer the bigger Porsches, a sensible evolution. These tiny Porsches are just too small. Even the latest Carrera, the 992, is too small for my liking. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_911_(992)
  20. It means a bit more than nothing. The fact that the French incompetently awarded this temple to Cambodia was a manifest and clear error. If one looks at the map it is very obvious this piece of land should belong to the Thais instead. The Thais just didn't realise it initially and made the error of accepting the French map at first. When the Thais realised the French error the Thais were aggrieved, understandably, and felt robbed. Just as they did when the French expelled them from the Cambodian territories they occupied after WWWII. Now, obviously the Cambodians feel the temple and the land is theirs by right. And it was they who tried to force the issue by appealing to the ICJ, because Cambodians want to settle this issues for once and for all, because they are scared of Thailand and are wedged between Thiailand and Vietnam. This is why Cambodia sent the agent provocateurs to sing patriotic songs, do endless patrols, they WANT to force the issue one way or the other to settle it. Now, the Thai side was not innocent and did indeed do a number of passive aggressive acts as well, including most likely moving border markers secretly. One would really have to say both parties are to blame for the current conflict, if one were not an interested party.
  21. So if I were to give you a Carrera now, you'd say "No, get off my property with this trash"?
  22. Jing Jai market in CM is still packed with Koreans. Try getting a parking space there, if you dare.
  23. My whole family is an anomaly. Christmas is torture.
  24. I liked it. I liked the Panamera too. I prefer a real car. Not a fan of these tiny toy Porsches. I mean still great cars, but too tiny.
  25. I know, the fat marbling is the flavour. Yah, I've been hearing the black charred crust on toast and beef causes cancer. I don't really take that stuff seriously. My grandmother lived to 94 and smoked every day.
