  1. I see it much the same way, to concern yourself with metaphysical matters is not very profitable, however, many of the wisdoms of all religious that pertain to character and good living, are well worth studying.
  2. That's true of course. We are all closely related to the Bonobos, the most promiscuous of apes, and promiscuity is our state of default. However, as human beings, we have developed certain codes of behaviour which help us to achieve higher goals, and loyalty is one of the original, primary codes of conduct we require for this purpose. Some adhere to it, others do not. Some know what is wrong and don't do it, others know it and do it anyway. It's a matter of character and integrity. However, a woman can be exceptionally faithful to a man, and not even have eyes for other men....if she's convinced the man she has is the best option she could ever have. In the age of social media, that is increasingly unlikely of course.
  3. That's true of course, and unfortunately much that was written down, like all texts, is subject to error and was later embellished. Thus we find demons and the like enter Buddhism from the local folklore. These things were added later, much like Easter was added ino the Christian cannon, or Christmas, when they were originally pagan beliefs. The same happened with Buddhism, local practices and beliefs entered Buddhist scripture.
  4. Actually you are wrong. Already in the bible, in the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus states, "No one can serve two masters". The concept of loyalty long predates European knights. Nor is it a concept developed in Europe. In the Mahabharata, the righteous King Yudhishthira appears at the gates of Heaven at the end of his life with a stray dog he had picked up along the way as a companion, having previously lost his brothers and his wife to death. The god Indra is prepared to admit him to Heaven, but refuses to admit the dog, so Yudhishthira refuses to abandon the dog, and prepares to turn away from the gates of Heaven. Then the dog is revealed to be the manifestation of Dharma, the god of righteousness and justice, and who turned out to be his deified self. Yudhishthira enters heaven in the company of his dog, the god of righteousness.[29][30]: 684–85  Yudhishthira is known by the epithet Dharmaputra, the lord of righteous duty. The Samurai had loyalty as a major tenent of their code. Confucius taught filial piety. The origin of the word is in the Old French loialte, that is in turn rooted in the Latin lex, meaning "law". One who is loyal, in the feudal sense of fealty, is one who is lawful (as opposed to an outlaw), ie loyal to the laws. Loyalty is more than a knightly a virtue and long predates knights. In any event, some women are loyal, admittedly only because they had a low body count and their man provides financially, but there can be no denying the numbers, women who've had more than 7 partners are significantly more likely to initiate divorce. Those are the facts.
  5. Popular socialism or people's socialism (Danish: Folkesocialisme) is a distinct socialist current from the Nordic countries. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popular_socialism_(Nordic_countries)
  6. Buddhists don't talk about "how the universe came to be". In fact the Buddha actively discouraged metaphysical speculation. It's more a philosophy of personal development. Which, clearly, is greatly compromised by the allure of the vagina.
  7. It's a major issue of course. You're right that studies have proven that a girl who's had more than 7 previous partners is 50% more likely to divorce. Thus loyalty is proportional to how many guys she bent over for. Whilst we should do all to find out the truth that can have mixed success. One of my girls I know had only me, as I personally deflowered her and she was a virgin. The other one, told me first two guys. Then it came it out it was actually 6 guys. As a generally rule you should multiply by 3 whatever a woman tells you. Six or 7 is the norm, any less than that she's either a bona fide virgin or she's lying. Women are not stupid, they know that men dislike women who have high body counts (as a general rule, 80 and 90 year old posters on Asean obviously can diverge from the norm due to desperate mating strategies), so most often women lie about their body count. Much like men lie about height.
  8. A club of a sport in which you are competent would seem a solution.
  9. She was even more full before, as she claims she had children with the monks. If that's true of course. She's a bit of a liar, clearly.
  10. As you know Trump has passed an Executive Order relating to birthright citizenship. The Supreme Court has ruled in Trump's favour, in that judges in lower courts are not allowed to block his Executive Order (which basically abolishes birthright ciitizenship in certain circumstances). “The court decision today means that unless a court certifies a class action within the next 30 days, the Trump administration can start to implement its repeal of birthright citizenship,” said Stephen Yale-Loehr, an immigration scholar at Cornell Law School. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/27/us/politics/27nat-birthright-citizenship-impacts.html Trump could pass an executive order, and whilst that could be challenged in courts, until it is resolved O'Donnel would be stripped of her citizenship, since the Supreme Court has mandated that the lower courts cannot stop Trump's executive orders on birthright citizenship. Trump could also seek to pass a law in Congress to abolish brithright citizenship for a persona non grata. Seems like a bit of a major effort for the likes of O'Donnel mind you, and very unlikely of course. However, Trump can direct government agencies not to admit O'Donnel into the US or to detain her and until such an order were to be challenged in court it would de facto strip her of citizenship without the legal wranglins. Interestingly the fourteenth amendment applies to people under the jurisdiction of the United States only, and as O'Donnel is currently under the jurisdiction of Ireland, possibly an argument could be mounted that it doesn't apply to O'Donnel, though in the long term that argument would fail I suspect.
  11. Looks like she did, she says she also extorted wealthy men and politicians. Not just monks. If this is a picture of her, she's a rather fat unattractive woman, who used completely false Facebook pics. https://thethaiger.com/news/national/thai-woman-admits-having-relationship-and-children-with-monks
  12. The CIB investigation later found that at least 10 senior monks had been involved with Golf, and many left monkhood after Arj’s scandal made headlines. https://www.nationthailand.com/news/general/40052403 Looks like Golf got her claws into more than 8 men.
  13. Well, in a religion that has as one of its truths that desire and attachment represent obstacles to enlightenment, do you think sexual relations and attachment to a woman would help or hinder Buddhist monks on their path to elightenment? If detachment is a goal, the attachment to a woman and to sex, would surely be a hindrance?
  14. This is why Buddha resisted and opposed the ordination of women. However, he was nagged, implored and harrased by....a woman, his foster mother Mahapajapati Gotami to allow women to be ordained, and eventually the Buddha relented and allowed it. The Buddha's Beta male attendant, Ananda also concurred with the ordination of women and advised Buddha to change his stance. The Buddha relented and allowed the ordination, however, only after imposing 8 additional conditions on women who become ordained, the Eight Garudhammas. These stipulated that the Budhist nuns, even the senior ones, had to accept their inferiority to male monks. In addition he required the women be segregated from the men. One of the Eight Garudhammas also sought to protect Buddhist monks from the abuse of female nuns. He also forbade nuns to admonish male monks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eight_Garudhammas The Buddha was wise indeed. However, he should have kept steadfast and refused women to come anywhere near the male monks, the fact that he relented after being confronted by his aunt and foster mother, who led a delegation of women to request of the Buddha that he allow ordination of women, shows, that the Buddha was too soft. He understood the dangers women would represent for the order, he stipulated they be segregated, and accept an inferior status, but sadly he could not protect monks from the evil designs of women. The lesson is not to be swayed by women, not to be too soft on women. They will always destroy all that is noble and worthy with their evil nature. The Buddha understood this. His attempt at segregating them failed. Even in their isolation Thai Buddhist nuns today work as an evil force in society promoting feminism, which ultimately destroys all societies. This will happen in Thailand too, and in fact is already happening, thanks to the evil seed of feminism planted by Thai Buddhist nuns. The irony is that they use the prestige of Buddhism to further the feminist cause, when the Buddha himself would have been strongly opposed to feminism. The irony.
  15. I don't know, as I've genuinely lost track, but if I had to estimate I would definitely say "not enough".

  17. Push & Pull by Nikki Costa is the one that last moved me. Mr. Nothing's got a lot He's got a lot to say He's good at being what he's not Gives nothing away Another day goes on by And he never speaks his heart He takes his chance with what he's got It's too late now to stop You push and you pull and struggle with the knot It's tying you up while you're fadin' You give and you take and take what you got 'Round and 'round 'till it breaks and You push and you pull and struggle with the knot It's tying you up while you're fadin' into your lie Mr. Nothing is late He's running out of time He questions whether chance or fate will ever show a sign Looks to the sky above For a glimpse of what it means And now or never, never made Made more sense to him You push and you pull and struggle with the knot It's tying you up while you're fadin' You give and you take and take what you got 'Round and 'round 'till it breaks and You push and you pull and struggle with the knot It's tying you up while you're fadin' into your lie You push and you pull it
  18. Yah, but Giselle cucked him with a martial arts instructor. Now he's hooking up with 50 year old women. It's sad.
  19. I agree completely. Tom Brady is another example. He's a multi-millionaire legend and he decides to bang a 50 year old Sofia Vergara? I feel like ringing him up and telling him "Tom, you know you can get a 25 year old, right?"
  20. I think it has to do with me living in Chiang Mai. DHL is well organised here. I assume you live a bit rural, or outside the big cities?
  21. Yes, I saw the newer ones, they had those 300 nits and people were complaining about the cheap screen. But great keyboard apparently. The new ones have ditched the fingerprint scanner. They had a revamp.
  22. Cameroni replied to saintdomingo's topic in Thai Food
Actually, the Makro bread is not terrible, one can eat it. I just meant places like Havanna, or Grand Cayman, or Medan, extremely difficult to find good bread there, nigh on impossible.
  23. Cameroni replied to saintdomingo's topic in Thai Food
In Vietnam they mix wheat flour and rice flour. Those breads do not have the substantial crust, they lack the thickness of crust, and aren't as satisfying as a result. Hopefuilly Laotian bread is better.
