They probably dealt with a guy like me. I ordered Rogan Josh with Naan bread and Pilaw rice whilst I was getting my hair cut. Of course this diabolical app somehoe disregarded my "Home" settings and instead logged the order for my current location. So I notified the driver to send to my home address. Of course he doesn't speak English and did not get it. So I got the hairdresser to call him. So he figured somethign was up. He still drove to my location, but I texted him again and he finally got it He arrived at my house 2 minutes before me and had to wait for me to compensate him with an extra 100 Baht (on top of the 500 Baht food order). These things happen. I can't say I feel bothered by it.

Of course there are beautiful parts of CM, San Kamphaeng, San Sai, some parts of the city centre have charm of 1000 years of history. Every city has highways, it's a bit much to criticise a city for that.

it would be nice if Thais could become more prosperous and more educated. However, if that were to happen then Thailand would lose its charm. Nobody wants to live in Japan, with its draconian police model. Imagine if Thailand had Japanese, German, British or US police or immigration. Which would happen with greater wealth and education. And it would erase all the charm of Thailand in the blink of an eye.
