Los Angeles county is very dry and has had MORE THAN 6000 fires annually in the last 25 years. Almost all on the mountainous North-West side of county where the rich like to live shaded by large dry trees. It has always been very dangerous to live there due to fires and earthquakes. Update. I had 1 cat spayed and 1 neutered at different vets. Both vets required 4-6 visits with many vaccinations and a blood test before the operation with followup appointments. The male was 3000 all-included and the female was about 3500. The operation is about half the total cost.
