  3. This law helps the small independent stores that sell openly sell alcohol. There are 4 of the small places minutes away and I prefer to give them my business rather than Big C or Lotus. But I think the law is crazy if it reduces tourism and should be ended... but TIT!
  4. I lived in that area for 2 years until 2024. I hated the noise and traffic! The sidewalks on Soi 24 are also very narrow and broken, especially towards Rama IV. The traffic is impossible when Sukhumvit is jammed up. To each his own!
  5. First, the conservative news sites applaud this correct decision and your source is biased. Second, Gen. Mark Milley deserves to be severely punished for his opposition to Trump while Milley was active-duty and Trump was President: This disloyalty to the Commander in Chief is called treason.
  6. Mr. Pierre website seems down. It is top-rated at 4.8/5.0 . VK is rated at 4.7/5.0
  7. I suggest trying Spanish Jamon iberico (cured ham) over melted camembert cheese on whole grain toasted bread, with olive oil on top. Add butter if you want on the toasted bread, red wine on the side is good too
  8. Los Angeles county is very dry and has had MORE THAN 6000 fires annually in the last 25 years. Almost all on the mountainous North-West side of county where the rich like to live shaded by large dry trees. It has always been very dangerous to live there due to fires and earthquakes. Therefore, I not not have a lot of sympathy for those that ignored the KNOWN risks. I chose to live in Las Vegas because there are almost no trees so nothing to burn.
  9. Fascino wants to sign people up so it can communicate with them. They asked me to sign up on a recent visit and offered a discount.
  10. Update. I had 1 cat spayed and 1 neutered at different vets. Both vets required 4-6 visits with many vaccinations and a blood test before the operation with followup appointments. The male was 3000 all-included and the female was about 3500. The operation is about half the total cost.
  11. This works out to less than $1400 per tourist visit
  12. Prikpot has been OK, but not the cheapest and their THC levels are exagerated
  13. You are right. Thank you for pointing out that there WAS an opportunity during covid. PAST TENSE. Now in late 2024, the prices are up as the nomads fly in. BKK prices are stupid...so I moved to Chiang Mai where I got a better condo for 5000 month. 1/3 BKK price.
  14. So true!!!
  15. USA Citizen here. I left in 2022 because the US was becoming lawless in many cities FOR ILLEGALS! In Illinois and PA the cops did not arrest illegals with no drivers licence: Only americans got arrested. Crazy. I hope Trump will MAGA!
  16. Yes. Maybe on Tim Newton? People are complaining about LOUD farang parties
  17. Toro Secondhand Market.Tambon Si Phum, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50300
  18. My 5 baht bandage cost "only" 200 baht at samitivej sukhumvit LOL! But they billed me for 3!! I agree that private hospitals may overcharge deliberately to increase profits and that customers must be alert and push back.
  19. ...Or bake it to decarboxylate and extract the THC in butter or brownies.
  20. I got the LTR because I can, but may live in EU/USA more than 6 months per year. So, the Thai insurance is not very useful. Beyond your very limited comprehension, obviously.
  21. Same experience. Now Un-Wise takes up to 7 days to move USD to Baht.
