  1. We are all working long hours, but more we are since over 15 years bond like a family to achieve our goals. Nobody is pushed to do overtime, but we all do it with the confidence and will to win. If you have no clue what self employed means, then you might come along with your 8 hours day.
  2. Quoted text from a Reporter.. ...In concrete cells which hold up to 20 prisoners, space is limited and often prisoners have to sleep sitting up. During the summer months the heat is oppressive, during the rainy season the prison sewers regularly flood. One's quality of life on the inside is dependent on cash gifts from the outside - from food to bed sheets, everything has its price.
  3. Mostly my customers booking the hotels for my time I work in their projects and they are generally OK.. The only thing I am looking for are free Pens on the desk... ????
  4. My monthly salary is high up in the 6 digits.. The transfer comes as freelancer from different countries and companies but it never takes longer that 2 days. The Bank calls my wife: There is money coming what is that? My wife needs only respond on the telephone: Salary for my husband, month, company who sent and country where it came from...
  5. I drive myself and always chose only shops in the Goldilock Zone. Arriving at home it's not too hot and not too cold. Ok the pizza is sometimes a bit mashed because there is really not option to transport a 12-16" pizza horizontally on a scooter or if you go too fast the box flips up and hit your chest.. But I do that because 2017 my food didn't arrive and I have seen the next day my KFC bag in Pattaya News, which made clear why my Chicken didn't come that night... The driver simply didn't make it, crossing the Sukhumvit road in Pattaya. That made me stopping ordering food via these lunartic drivers.. If I wouldn't have ordered KFC he probably would have been still kicking around...
  6. hasn't it been always like that in LoS? Hint, if she wants to get rescued and cries the first time in bed before you undress, she is a professional and has still some White Knights corresponding via Western Union. But the topic is easy: My wife and myself have a Farm and from the income we generate, we take off a share for our "non Family" friends living with us. The shares are distributed as we agreed all together: 13.500 and 21.000 per month for an old and a young couple. 15.000 for our house maid who is a Jack of all Trades working 15 -16 hrs/day 10.000 for my wife to support her father and some items for herself. The biggest part of the profit goes back into the farm to expand and follow the business plan. None of them would ask for more money, just because the farm throws more off as we calculated. For all its more important to reach the next step. The above mentioned people prove that a "rescued Bar Girl" should be able to live on an average of 15K which supports her Family. If she cannot, bring her back where you found her...
  7. Banks do a bit difficult but the lottery shops will pay out. I won twice and got my cash. Last time was in January btw...
  8. Considering the price difference Thailand and Taiwan the Gogoro Viva XL is 82.500 NTD incl 15 month Insurance and Road Tax 12 month. That makes it equal to a Honda PCX in Thailand. The PCX has not anywhere near the good handling capabilities and torque than the Gogoro. In the 4th year now I am every 2nd weekend in the mountains of Taiwan and ride about 200 - 250 Kilometers nonstop. If it overheats it will slow down to 45 Km/hr for a few kilometers (happened twice as Google brought me on the Expressway and I wanted to make a quick escape to avoid fines) In total I have now 38.000 Kilometers on the Clock and the only thing I exchanged was the drive belt and 3 back tires which wear down faster because of the torque these electric motors put on the road if you pull the trottle.. I think @Skipalongcassidy your opinion on reliability of e-bikes is a bit outdated. 6 years ago I bought a mountain bike style e-bike and yes, that was a piece of sh*t. 15 kilometer Range, 65 Km/hr and couldn't pull a smoked Kipper from the plate...
  9. I made some photos today at the battery station. The change takes about 1 minute. Empty batteries in the slot, the display says hello Reginald, you have 24% left and made 42.6 Km. Click and two full Batteries popping out... Easy peasy. taking not too much space under the seat, but for a little girl it might be an act as each battery weights 9 Kg all in all a handy scooter in the city which could be compared with a PCX... but still the sour apple is, that batteries last about 1000 charges and leave a lots of environmentally unfriendly waste. (in my opinion)
  10. If he was, as prior reported in rage after he dropped her, I guess he was not pi$$ed off that she slipped out of his hands... Then it would have been more the "OMG what have I done" story...
  11. Tighten the Visas for Outlaws, Kitchen Chefs and Russians is now going to be enforced? 30 years is the right age to screw up your life.
  12. Since 2020 I am working in Taiwan and the first thing to overcome the dependence on Taxis was to buy myself a Gogoro Viva XL. Since 15 years of age I drive Motorbikes with combustible engines and this is the first electric driven scooter. When you drive it sounds like the end of every star treck movie when Kirk & Co worps off into the space for new adventures, but I must admit the torque is next level. End speed is 100 Km/h and the hanling is like every other scooter. 1250 NTD = 1350 Baht "all you can eat" contract is nice, as I drive in my off work weekends up to 250 Kilometers so batteries are unlimited for me. Gogoro says you can easy do 100 [plus] kilometers with one set, for me its more likely the average of 46 Kilometers. (But as said I am driving 2 wheelers since 1978, so I might love my pole position at traffic lights too much, but its also because being in front of the crowd is much safer, especially in Taiwan) On a small island like Taiwan it is possible to cover every area with battery exchange stations and it is for sure possible in big cities in Thailand (or worldwide) BUT with now 1.1 million Batteries on more than 12.000 Exchange stations all over Tawian and Gogoro has 524000 riders (25 Million Citizens in Taiwan!!!) it is at its limits and the reason is. If I exchange a set in the early morning the clock says the set is good for 79 Kilometers but if I exchange the batteries during the day time they are good for around 50-55 Kilometers. 1.1 million batteries is a lot of special waste and the lithium mining is another story for itself. Many people change their batteries when they are a 20 Kilometer radius which is also not beneficial for the life time of a battery.. Wost is that Kimco brings now also an electric scooter with exchangeable Battery packs but they are not compartible which is in my eyes nonsense. If the Indistry thinks green why the do not find an agreement? Money first I guess.. For me personally its and eye washing because for above reasons it makes no difference to leave a line of smoke or leave some serious waste from spent betteries... But the torque... I enjoy the wind in the face and the hair drier sound under my a$$ because I am in front... I know there is a smart button for best battery use, but also in the shop is a software update available that puts the max on the belt drive... (I'll post pictures here when the scooter goes up in flames) Since 2002 I am working in the green energy bizz and have seen enough BS... The Viva is classed as 125cc bike by the way...
  13. The mail is from facebook but I never use such links. Better go directly via your account...
  14. Let the Mormons smile, wearing suit and tie, believe in God... Oh actually my Landlord does too. He has a sign at the wall saying: "In God we trust, all others pay cash." To the topic: I have every 2nd weekend off and the Friday then is to get hammered and looking if the sign is still hanging at his wall. So 14 days booze break is for me the common practice...
  15. Its simple, if you have more foreign currency in your national banks the currency is less value and your currency is getting stronger.
  16. One in my navy time. A fellow soldier swapped an Atropin shot dummy against a real one during an exercise. In the evening there was that nice round a$$ swinging in front of us and he gave her the shot. She didn't made it through the door anymore and collapsed. Lucky she was fast recovered after 1 day in hospital and as the MP was interviewing us to find out who was the moron poisoning that chick. We all said we were it, so the guy who did it couldn't get sacked. The Landlord decided then, that all are banned for lifetime.. In Thailand I kept always a low profile and in two cases a bit of tissue for the bleeding noses and a few ring the bells could avoid further troubles with the cops. The last 15 years I am an exeptional pleasant pub goer, getting drunk, getting funny and lose my memory occassionally.
  17. I got a multiple personality, hence 4 Egos, and we live (obiously) in the same street: Ego 1 = the best Poster in Thailand Ego 2 = the best Poster of the World Ego 3 = the best Poster of the entire Universe I assume nobody of you folks can beat this, can you? Ooops, I forgot my Ego Nr 4.... Ok, Ego Nr 4 is just the best Poster in our street... ????
  18. I have no 10 years goals but still looking ahead: I bought a farm last year turning 60 years of age for a scary reason: My Grand Grand Father became 77 and his wife 79 My Grand father became 86 and his wife 89 My Father became 93 and Mum is still alive I assume the fast developing medicine makes it working to get older... Looking back on my grocery bills I must admit that my anchestors had a bloody cheap life and the pension increasement was the last 10 years a toothpick in a bonfire compared to the increasing food prices... To not think what happens in 10-30 years but I am worried if my pension still last for a bag potatoes an fried chicken and a leo? If I don't make it so long, I still can be of good use around my fruit trees to boost the harvest for my kids, can I?
  19. I started working offshore and my German Ex enjoyed the cash flow (was in 1998) 2 Yellow cards for not beeing able to put money aside for a farm we both wanted, divorcement 2001 but stayed together because of the Kids.. 2002 Red Card and as above stated: Taxi, Flight, Thailand. 2002 met my new wife (Thai) she took care of my daughters which the mother didn't support. well, happy married since then.....
  20. Nail studios. You forgot the nail studios. That equipment is already 10-15 years old and get handed around as needed. Every time when a new Farang is willing to invest in a business to get the whore out of her misery..
  21. There we go, I have been working 42 years in the offshore and 21 years from it in the wind energy sector. Climbing ladders was not what my legs were made for. Both knees and the right hip bone is due. I must agree that the coating this is a reason I always step back from the wooden houses. All my family has wooden top floors but none has termites. My wife and I plan to build 3 houses same style on our farm. One for an old man and his wife who are a wealth of knowledge. They lost all in a inheritage case and since then lives on our farm as guard and supervisor. One for our housemaid who is the working horse and voice since decades... All are long years friends and none is family. The family my wife kicked out because the old story = Farang must pay = ATM) and the last is for me and my wife. Thinking about how we live, we decided a big Kitchen is a must (also to handle farm produce) an small office, a bedroom and one bathroom. We skip the living room as we never used one in the past, it was always a kind of workshop... All 3 houses shall form a kinda eco village hence none of us is superior...
  22. Many times I threw this idea behind, but the Thais who live in such a house outmatch always my doubts. ...and I actually LOVE this houses. I visit many Thais and sometimes the celebrations let us stay over night. The wood smells so nice, the house itself stays cool inside even in the midday sun and a decent size is 450.000 THB (excl, electrics and plumbings) I am 60 now, do I really need to take the burden of building a brick house when these are tailormade available and they sure last a "lifetime" ?? 480K 360K (2 Bedrooms and huge open Kitchen which can easily be closed) 3 bedrooms, big kichen, 2 bathrooms... 580K The wood is hardwood, recycled and hence no risk that termites will chew through them. A cousin bought it 20 years ago and its still in a mint condition, the only thing he complains is, that the houses got pained and that makes it necessary to repaint all 3 - 5 years...

  24. Good one, and there are many but they are more challenging and not bought. I actually came 2002 to Thailand to overcome my divorcement with my German ex wife.. So what's more suitable that taking the BBTB (Bums Bomber To Bangkok) But then I met my love (now wife) ....she sold Pa Tong Go from her little street chart. I saw he the first time and it made *BANG* But from one moment to the other Bar girls were no fun anymore, they just were a big lie and a pussy to poke beside they pretend to feel with you and what you go through after divorcement.. The Pa Tong Go girl was customer orientated, as frequent customer I got always a cookie more and the soi milk dip for free every other day.. That was it, she kept distance and beside the friendly smile she gave all customers there was nothing. I felt I had no chance but didn't give up.. Then after about 4 month she gave me fired chicken she made herself because I cannot live on cookies alone she said. That was the break through... First candle light dinner: She popped up with her three sisters and a boyfriend of one of the sisters.. (FUXX !! plan spoiled) But the sisters demanded her to sit beside me.. (at least something, so I could feed her) First Visit to Granny and Father: She educated me well. Impressing me that a gift (Ka-shinng) is tradition but do not overdo it. Father will go drinking and having an accident and Granny will start digging for more. (500 For Father 200 for Granny whould be double what a Thai boy would give) Engagement after 3 years: BUT Granny as eldest need to give her goodwill. The Granddaughter was 35 years old, hence for free, Granny 20% eye sight said. He is quite tough, I thought 3 years ago already, he doesn't make it to the next year because he looks so sick, very pale that lad... 1 year engaged and I was still pale I asked for marriage. Who had last word? Off course Granny: Dowry: Upto lung (me) because she is the oldest of the sisters (36), no Thai would have her... I called out 100.000 Baht. Granny obiously shocked said "For 100k I could have the youngest sister" I also shocked said: "No way, I love the oldest" The entire Family laughed and said "he must be more blind than Granny" BUT we were both born in the year of the Tiger (1962/1974) so Granny decided, the last word has the Village monk.. "OUUUHOOOOIII! Tough Constellation, 2 Tigers. Wait 7 Years with the marriage" 2012 we got finally married, poor Granny didn't see it, father blew the 100 k in Laod Khao, Fighting Chickens and at least new windows in the house... I moved to Isaan and run a Parmaculture Farm with my wife and some long year Thai Friends have a relaxed life and doing my chores like I did as I grew up in Germany.... The only difference is that I am now happy married and we have a strong family bond.... Now you can imagine why people marry Bar Ladies... Paperwork 2 weeks done and they can start building a house in Isaan, buy a car, buy Gold and laces... And 3 years later she is back to work and @bob smith has a new topic for the crowd...
