  1. You can tell from the aftermarket wheels and suspension parts, that this is a Thai race car driver, how dare the bus and minivan get in his way!
  2. So her motorcycle didn't have a headlight?! Excuses by Thai's are ridiculous and never stop, she was driving too fast for conditions, and with/without a working headlight.
  3. My eyes are seriously burning today, even though the AQI numbers (164) in my area (Nonthaburi) are slightly less than the last two days (Monday-177, Tuesday-174). It's the same feeling I get when people are smoking near me, my eyes start burning and stinging. The sky out there looks horrendous right now though, today is going to be bad one.
  4. Do you have any idea how fast you have to go to do that much damage?! Good God, SLOW DOWN!
  5. Whenever anyone asks for a loan, just say no, I don't have the money, sorry. There are banks for this purpose, not worth the hassle of making personal loans to anyone, especially friends or family.
  6. Or used to completely screw with anyone they wish, at any time they wish, it's that "ambiguity" that frightens us foreigners the most.
  7. From what I observe, households spend more on cigarettes, booze, gambling/lotteries, and new cars than anything else. Adding casinos will only throw the country (poor/lower middle-class) into even more debt.
  8. The Devil has his number, he isn't long for this World, his chair is prewarmed and ready.
  9. Retired Expats in Thailand are considered rich here in Thailand, so you may be <deleted> out of luck.
  10. Training, Training, Training!
  11. ....or just leave, and take their money with them.
  12. I assume he isn't too pleased with her lack of in-your-face politics that he is used to, if you want something done right, do it yourself.
  13. Just in time for pollution season, but the Chinese are used to that, so they will feel right at home here. My eyes are burning today already, welcome to paradise.
  14. Which makes you richer than 97% of Thai's, so you're known as an ATM here, enjoy your stay.
  15. If you want to see Thailand's lower middle-class and poor-people sink further behind the Elite, this would be the quickest way to that goal.
  16. TIT....Like Immigration Offices, they are basically independent, running things whatever way they see fit, with almost no oversight.
  17. Time to disband the UN, and kick them out of NYC, it has become nothing more than a joke.
  18. Thais love debt, the more they can obtain, the more they add to it. I have not met a single Thai, other than my wife who is not buried in debt.
  19. They must have been blind or completely stupid when they put this plan together in the first place.
  20. Paid for by the Emperor Thaksin, not the taxpayers, correct?
  21. I assume they mean MFA, which is still a nightmare, requiring all documents be translated to "certify authenticity". How certifying authenticity would happen is beyond me, the process for apostille (which in the USA would be almost impossible for financial documents - and more expensive then you could dream), if that's what they are referring to, is a complete nightmare.
  22. Number 7 is the one I warned about long ago, translating all documents to Thai?! Talk about a nightmare in the making!
  23. We live in a generation where TikTok, YouTube, GoFundMe, Influencers are the new rave.....they refuse to follow the old ways of doing things, welcome to the New World, no accountability.
  24. Hey don't let me stand in the way of a fool parting with his money, have at it there buddy.
  25. Yes, next stop worldwide income, but that looks like 2026 at the earliest, if at all. But I still see that as the only real workable solution, so I am assuming this new (impractical to enforce) remittance interpretation will go quietly this year and maybe next, then with worldwide income comes the ballbuster approach to compliance.
