  1. I would say by todays numbers, that the Health Minister is failing miserably, center of Bangkok is around 177 AQI and the western part of the city is almost 245 AQI right now.....These people run this country like some type of joke, if they were gauged on merit, they wouldn't even have jobs.
  2. Or maybe there is a lot of suckers willing to part with their own money without due diligence. P.T. Barnum was right, "a fool and his money are soon parted"
  3. Somebody should warn her that she is making deals with Devil.
  4. It's more like the letter of the law states something, which technically is all that matters, and as usual Thai's (in this case TRD employees) are either ignoring it, or pretending they have no idea what you're talking about. At the end of the day, you're a Farang, and they don't really care what you do, until they do care, then I'd hate to be on the receiving end of justice.
  5. Which begs the question, is the remittance FIFO or LIFO? Meaning is the interest earned considered first, or the principal from years of savings first.
  6. I'm glad somebody gets it, the motorcycle ran into the Hyundai, simple as that. The motorcycle was travelling and undertaking vehicles on the road using the shoulder/emergency lane, the Hyundai cutting off the gray car on the roadway in a lane of traffic has nothing to do with the motorcycle driving illegally in the shoulder and crashing into the Hyundai.
  7. "See, we did something" ......Ok, now time to move on and forget this until next year.
  8. Champagne wishes and caviar dreams await her.
  9. Yup, just wanted to make sure I corrected you, Ted. 😉
  10. Tell them to state where it even remotely says that in the laws, then get back to us.
  11. I'm hoping there is really a Heaven and a Hell, because I am pretty confident where this bastard will be spending his time.
  12. Not if you are here for less than 179 days (thus not a tax resident) in the year you remit the funds, it's a wide-open loophole. So in the year you make a a huge purchase, just stay out of the country for 179 days, then come back next year and enjoy your condo without owing tax on the remittance.
  13. Exactly! Who is an easy target and flush with cash? Hmmmm...
  14. For some, my Pink ID number is on my License, not my passport number.
  15. The picture will include a wheelchair, neck brace, and possibly some form of paralysis.
  16. Melodramatic much? The gray car slowed down, I don't hear or see any slamming on brakes, or skid marks involved.
  17. You mean the motorcycle illegally passing on the left using the shoulder? Dangerous is passing moving vehicles on the left using the emergency lane. The video even shows the gray car slowing down with no problem, and plenty of space between him and the Hyundai.
  18. No, I did not say that, but your right, it does not wipe the slate clean for the motorcycle drivers behavior either (there are two wrongs here, not one). The Hyundai is guilty of cutting off the gray car, and leaving the scene of an accident, the motorcycle driver is at fault for illegally using the shoulder to undertake, and by doing so crashing as a result.
  19. Motorcycles running red lights is commonplace too, but still illegal. If he wasn't overtaking using the shoulder he wouldn't have crashed, the gray car in the left lane didn't crash, did he?
  20. There was no kid, this was an adult illegally driving and overtaking using the shoulder. So I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. You're trying to conflate everything, the facts are the facts.
  21. Which still doesn't negate the fact that the motorcycle driver is at fault for the accident.
  22. Yes, I think the Hyundai driver should get a ticket for cutting off the car, but not the accident caused by the motorcycle driving and overtaking vehicles using the shoulder.
  23. The Hyundai driver cut off the car in the lane next to him, though by Thai standards, nothing new. The motorcycle overtaking using the shoulder is something completely different, the motorcycle driver is at fault for the accident he caused.
  24. And you'd be wrong, based on the letter of the law.
