I think the lawyer would have cost more, not to mention it might take 10-20 years to get the money back, if ever. In short, they are never getting their money back, it is as good as gone.....just write it off.
Well, yes, they should make sure people show the ability to access enough money for their stay. But I highly doubt they showed even 20,000 to begin with, which might have thrown up a red flag to deny them entry.
You can witness it for yourself, go any weekday at about 6am on Sirat Expressway heading South near the new Bang Sue main train station......it's not like it's a secret, in fact they encourage people to exit the highway into the on-ramps then into the emergency lanes at highspeed, most dangerous thing I have ever seen.
Here in Bangkok, never happen, in fact our highway patrol encourages people to speed down the emergency lane during heavy traffic. I have never seen such insanity in my whole life until I came here, the RTP has blood on it's hands.
Believe me, I curse over these idiots daily. It is of no wonder to me why the deaths/accidents on the roads are so high, especially motorcyclists who seem to think they are invincible. I wouldn't try what they do in a million years, it boggles the mind why anyone would take the chances they do.
Never seen anyone pulled over here in the 8 yrs I have been here, even with traffic police standing right there watching people break road laws, the Thai people know this, so the show (deaths/injuries/maiming) goes on.
If you can't stop safely while riding behind another vehicle, then you are riding too closely (tailgating). If you were trained properly you would know this, but as usual, nobody here has the foggiest idea how to safely drive anything with wheels.
