So easy to fix, just copy the LTR visa HI requirements: any [overseas] insurance with a minimum coverage of USD 50000, Social Security, or USD 100000 cashflow.
Ok, remember 9/11 and watch "Dupont Lajoie".
Must admit that there was I time where I was also peed off with Arabs; when I had to work on the inventory of hardware and ordinance they had left behind in the Sinai.
I agree, whatever my/your current performance is, these numbers are ridiculously low. And what is their definition of a a sex act? When I was 15 I was J..k..g off 4 or 5 times a day, does that count?
I have the feeling that Mr. @Kwasakithinks this is smart comment but sadly it is plain dumb and is a weak attempt of ignoring the reality. Anyone single, who had a middle class lifestyle back home, will need that sort of money to keep his standard of living. What is the rent for a good 70/80 sqm condo in Silom? A barely decent bottle of wine costs 700 Baht. The near free good quality healthcare is now an expensive private hospital, and so on..
Yep, I was a total dumbass then, spent a lot of my time reading writers of the 19th century... I didn't even have TV, was reading the Washington Post, 2 or 3 days late, but was worth getting it flown in.
I don't think it would. But I am of the opinion that they should enforce a 4 month stay in the home country every couple of years. A way to ensure that these visas are truly "Non resident".
