I find Hua Hin far more costly then Bangkok or Pattaya, with limited choice (food, shopping, sights, transport, services, clean beaches etc).

E visa from Cambodia immigration takes around 3 days with far less problemes or requirements for legalized, translated or notorised absurd requests. E visa from Thailand, handled by the consulates in Europe, takes more then a month and not even guaranteed as mentioned, despite having taken payment, Quite clear I guess.

I rather donate while am still alive to all those lovely young fine ladies eager to explore.

Same issues in those swanky pool-villa developpments in Hin Lek Fai - HUA HIN. The managers rarely or never submit the TM30 online or paper, when their foreign owners come over for a few months. Quite easy to always put the blame on the foreigner-house owner. But if a developpment is making good money, cashing exorbitant monthly "common fees" etc, such a service must be provided. Another good reason not to blindly go and rent those swank pool villas in Hua Hin, with the risk of getting into hassles with some zealous officer on leaving. Hotels are dead chep, far safer and the best place for tourist visits.

The 2 week millionaires may spend on hookers, but the retiree owning a house will spend less often ok, but when he/she spends for stuff to maintain the house or other, it boosts much more cash at the end of the day.

In certain remote areas of the US, the puritanism is quite similar with that in the muslim nations. Quite a hypocrisy as most will be at church on Sunday and in a stripper club on Monday, miles away from home during the business trip. Same for muslim nations with their absurd social codes, that are totally discarded when abroad. Some people seem to live in La-La land and do not realise they are being cheated on a daily basis. Go to any service, shop etc that does not clearly display prices with a thai friend/bargirl/whatever, asking to quote the price. Then go back as a farang and ask for the price for the same. Make your conclusions after.
