  1. So is it really for the booze or mainly just for the girlies ? 😜
  2. Quite a few western countries that liberalized the substance, turned back and stopped as it generated many other societal problems on their streets.
  3. Will banks start to deduct tax at source on every foreigners bank account even if the foreigner does not stay more then 180 days ?
  4. She should have sticked to advertise her cliveage as they usually do on ONLY FANS and not try to venture out in other business ventures that are reserved for the chaps in uniform.
  5. Remember the golden rule here. Never buy. Only rent. Should it be with a lady or with property. The tax climate is changing here and the visa issues for a decent period of stay are getting worse. I would even look at other Asian countries at the end of the day.
  6. The Thai cops must be dancing in glee as here is another new means to racket unwary falang tourists.
  7. Even foreign house owners on 30 yr leasehold are seeking to sell off fast their property and leave thailand due to all the absurd immigration, tax and bank hassles that have become from bad to worse. If Thailand has some sense, they would hand out say 4 month visa free waiver stay for all foreigners who own property on lease or purchase in Thailand. If not, they will losse not only the money of these wealthy pensionners but also loose the tourism flux.
  8. Funny how many farangs seem ashamed of the looks from their thai wives and try to compensate with how their mixed children look. Time to wake up and understand for most of the Thai nationalists, anything that is not pure and fully Thai is just another this or that. All foreigners are put in the same bucket, no matter what some may claim. Be nice, respectful, polite towards all in Thailand, be them foreign or local and you'll be fine. Be rude or an arrogant flaunting your money in a vulgar manner, then no matter if full phalang or mixed blood, the locals will look down on you. Simple maths.
  9. Problem with most of those exchange boots in the airport basement is that they rarely have good stock of 100 THB notes. I always prefer to have a supply of 100's rather then flaunt aroung with a bag of 1000's as rarely people give the correct change back. Always annoying to have to look around the Suvarnabhumi basement for another bank with stock of 100 Bhat notes, after the money exchange at the booth. Apart from the digital geeks in their flip flops and absurd looks, people will always prefer ca$h to using a credit card.
  10. The rich who can afford it, are looking to India now. Country that still remains cheaper then the UK, lovely beaches in the south, top level private healthcare if one has a minimum of means, great food and ladies and mainly no hassles for visas like Thailand.
  11. All airlines who want to survive should lay off all their boeings and mainly the 787 that are just flying coffins. More and more travellers refuse to buy tickets if they see that the planes used are Boeings with all the accidents and flaws in Boeing planes.
  12. A good reminder for the rest that in Thailand never buy...always rent !!
  13. Again depends on which country. Some Thai embassies in Europe do not even bother to answer e-mails and rarely answer the phone for public questions.
  14. A friend once rented a pool villa in a fairly post developpment in Hua Hin. All looked fine on the websites and seemed nice once they arrived, I guess. Few days later a bunch of germans arrived who had rented the villa in front. It was non stop noise, drunken brawls, loud music, all night loud talking, noise of pools splashing till late evenings.... The developpment security guard was first informed and just looked on blantly and of course pretended not to understand. Then the managment was informed but did not really seem to care. Problem was never solved for their entire 3 week holiday. Needless to say, they will never pay the hefty rent price in that specific developpment in Hua Hin, Hin Lek Fai.
  15. I would definately stop sending money to my account in Thailand when I'm not in the country. For sure.
  16. If you can manage in Thailand through all the immigration hassles at your age, I am convinced that using a latest generation MAC MINI will be very easy for you. Good luck in your research and hope you find what suits you.
  17. Don't think a falang is superior to other foreigners. All non Thais are put in the same bucket fyi. But belive the opposite if it makes you feel better and get rid of the falang complex when walking on the street.🤣
  18. It is obvious they hate us foreigners here in Thailand. So why continue to be their scapegoats and stay on and give them our money ? If one can, sell, wind up and start to chek out other more foreigner friendly asian nations or india.
  19. As usual they will harass the decent foreigner retiree for a bank account. But no problem for the scum and criminals to have multiple accounty, stay illegally and so on. That's how things usually work in a corrupt and undevelopped country. One harasses the decent foreigners on administrative and mainly visa iussues. You tell them "no like, then leave" and other rubbish, but you like the foreigners money however. But we are no better as we seem to like being treated of the sort and stay on. All this just for the sake of those busty 25 year olds😆
  20. Mac Mini at the Central Apple Store, Bangkok. Nothing to beat it. Still have one that is 9 years old and still running. Ok the memory grilled after 7 years but thank god had a basic time machine backup so had it repaired and still going. However it's does have some new glitches on the graphics I guess. So if your Mac Mini starts to trouble, I would rather get a new one and not waste money in getting in repaired IMHO.
  21. Have purchased even Apple products and other high end stuff on Shopee, COD and never, never an issue. Always, always COD but asked the chap to come inside the house as obviously did not want to make a show in front of the other workers around the garden on what I was paying the delivery chap. As these lovely service staff all over are all nice and smiling but we all know that their main goal in dealing with foreigner is to see how much is spend and how much cash is at hand. So be cautious.
  22. are you the owner of that restaurant and their crooked methods by any chance ?`😁
  23. In private hospitals it's an organised racket targetting the foreigners. Why else do you think they fuss so much here on foreigners health insurance to mention specifically the well known "no less then xxx$ coverage." Despite the fact that all western europeans have top level healthcare that by their countries laws, are amongst the best coverages in the world...
  24. Will they try to grab tax if the holder of the LTR P visa stays each year for less then 180 days ? Obviously not, but will that require nevertheless again paperwork and having to proove you were in Thailand for less then 180 days ? That remains the question.
