Clearly the assassination attempt by the disturbed republican man boy has shifted the focus of attention away from the Biden decision. So very unfortunately from my POV it's now clear that Biden will probably make it to the convention to be nominated. So trump lucked out dodging that bullet. But so did Biden.

Well I wouldn't know about that and of course that is an unproven accusation. I can only say that in my experience he was very sweet and welcoming. I wouldn't travel to Iran as their government freaks me out but travellers there often report exceptional hospitality from everyday people even tp westerners. Human beings are complex of course. It's not shocking at all for people to have different sides including dark sides. Of course I get it. If it's true the employee was not paid and was being abused the motivation is obvious. If you read the article, you'll learn that it is not. There is a conflict with the New York state anti discrimination laws. How is it fair to enforce a local law that conflicts with a state law? You'd need to change the state law first.

The obsession of right wingers with gender issues is a very ugly thing to behold. I'm not going to get into granular discussions here about specific issues. The bigger point was made. Florida (and many other states and countries) have passed or are trying to pass a sheit-load of anti LGBT legislation and while doing that, they don't even bother to try addressing actually serious problems.
