  1. I agree with everything you say above. I don't know of any Democrat that could replace Trump on the ticket. Of everyone I do know of, I guess my first choice would be Pete Buttigieg, but since he's gay, I'm sure a lot of people would not vote for him. I think your last comment could unfortunately be true, "...perhaps the nation is long gone."
  2. I agree with you. Biden would not be my choice for president, but I would vote for almost anyone if they were running against Trump. I'm so shocked and disappointed that my fellow countrymen would even consider someone like Trump. When I was growing up in northern Indiana sixty years ago, I knew there were racists and other despicable, selfish people, but I always assumed they only made up maybe 10%, or at most 20%, of our population. Now it seems like there are 40% or even 50%! Also, I predict that as the presidential election in 2024 comes closer, there will be more and more violence in the streets. And no matter who wins, I'm sure the other side will claim "fraud!" which will incite more continuing violence. These are just some of the reasons I continue to live in Thailand and have no desire at this time to return to the USA.
  3. Yes, I'm tired of having to vote AGAINST someone instead of FOR someone...
  4. Normally I would agree with you. But i've been warned by a moderator not to go back farther than 7 Oct.
  5. I don't know how we can properly discuss the war in Gaza without referring to history. How far can we go back? Can we mention the Oct 7th Hamas attack, or is that too far back in "history" now? IMO, the history of this conflict is what is most important in fully understanding the motives, tactics, strategies, and goals of both sides.
  6. I have not altered or added any lines on this map. I did add a remark at the end of a dictionary definition I posted, but I stated that before the quote, and I [put my addition in brackets] just as I said I would. Also, that addition did not change the definition.
  7. I hope that is what will happen, but I don't think it is. I believe Israel will remain in control of Gaza from now on, and eventually, way down the road, just assimilate it into Israel the way they've done with all the other Palestinian land. We'll both just have to wait and see what happens.
  8. I missed it because the situation in Israel/Gaza is not my primary concern right now. I'm busy doing many other things around my house, my properties, and also playing golf twice a week. I don't just sit in front of the TV and watch CNN. So, when I do, I see "snippets," and obviously did not see or notice the reports that the IDF has actually invaded with ground troops. I do remember seeing reports of them invading with tanks, but not platoons of soldiers.
  9. But, it is how I describe them, and will continue to do so...
  10. I think that post was almost a week ago, but it was well after the ground invasion started. LIke I said, I did not hear (or take notice of) the ground invasion when it started. When I posted, I thought the initial bombardment only was still continuing with only a few little "sneak" ventures into Gaza with soldiers.
  11. This is all in the way you define "Zionist." I, as I have said many, many times before, define it as the faction that wants to completely occupy what used to be called Palestine. And within that faction, there are extremists who are not pro-peace. In fact, I assume most of them are not, and they want to completely control Palestine using whatever tactics they need to.
  12. Yes, I thought they would just bombard Gaza with missiles, drones, and artillery before sending in troops. I did not know they had invaded with troops at the time of that post.
  13. 🥱 Again, no answer to my question. If you read any more of my posts, which you've said you wouldn't do, please read them carefully before responding, especially if you intend to respond with just insults and not actual comments on what I've written.
  14. No, I wouldn't call Jews that oppose the current Israeli military actions in Gaza "anti-Semitic." In fact, if I had to use that term, I would call them "pro-Semitic," since they would seem to support non-violence against Palestinian civilians.
  15. What! I checked this site out on its own site, and it came out "Least Biased." I'd expect you to agree with that. Are you reading my posts or just replying with insults? My sarcastic comment was it seems to me that you, btk Brian, Morch, and several others think you are also "Least Biased." What's trolling, lying, or dishonest about that?
  16. Yes, and there are Zionist factions within Israel and Israelis. There are also peaceful factions. I don't know why you can't understand and admit this.
  17. I am not "baiting" or trolling. I am just stating the truth. I post what I believe according to the sources I've seen and read. Most of the news on this subject has been on CNN. When I access the Internet for backup of something I write, I search for it and am not overly concerned with the source since I know the sources on the Internet is not something you can count on anyway.
  18. btk, you misread my post (again). I checked out mediabiasfactcheck on its own site, not one of the sites I used.
  19. Yes, I'm sure there are non-Zionist factions in Israel. But, they would not support Hamas. Those who support any agreement with Palestinians, like a two-state solution, or a one-state with equal citizenship, would not, IMO, be what I refer to as "Zionists."
  20. And what makes you so sure your sources are the "truth"?
  21. So that's not much considering the remaining population, and probably going nowhere at this pace....which they would be aware of. How does that fit with the rest of your narrative? Morch, If you are (I was) referring to my comment that the Zionist factions in Israel are moving forward to entirely take over Palestine, I mean they are proceeding as fast as they can without losing the support of their allies, like my country, the USA, who are already telling them to ease off a little. (According to the conspiracy-filled sources I listen to, like CNN )
  22. They are opinions, so are yours. Neither are "facts." None of us know the "facts" for sure. We all just listen and read, and then form our opinions.
  23. I agree, but this is what I read from the sources I visit or listen to on my TV (CNN). Also, I don't sit and read and listen to EVERYTHING they say. I just pick up snippets here and there, and that's enough for me to form an opinion and make some speculations. I know NOTHING I see or read can actually be counted on to be the truth, so I have to use my own judgment (not some other online source) on that. That's how I've operated my entire life and I'm not going to change that now.
  24. I respect your comment this time, but wonder what you meant by "have knowledge about." Isn't your "knowledge about" this subject, Israel/Palestine, based on what you read or hear on the news? And that's the same source as mine.
