The RVP was set up in one of the airports car parks and all ambulances were escorted air side in a single convoy, video of this posted before, A forward incident command post was set up at the airport fire station, pictured below. Initial triage was done on board, with those needing hospital attention transported by ambulance, minor first aid cases were dealt with at the airport. A Singapore Airline Go Team, initially from local staff and then supported by others deployed from Singapore, worked with local agencies to help passengers.

The Singapore Airlines Crisis Management Team, seems to be do a good job so far. 4 updates issued to keep media and relatives informed. Contact numbers issued and communication team to answer enquiries, in place. Forward emergency response team already deployed, flown to and available in Bangkok. Passengers that wanted, have been transported to Singapore, with transport and accommodation arranged. Arrangement being sorted for transit passengers to get other flights. Passengers at Singapore and anyone meeting them have been keep away from the media. Support and counseling teams working with all involved. Very transparent and proactive, which is not often seen, after incidents.

It appears that CAAT (Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand) will be leading the investigation into this incident. The Singapore Transport Ministry has said that The Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB) will be deploying investigators to Bangkok, as the airline is from Singapore. American National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has also confirm an investigation team is being sent to Bangkok, as it is a Boeing aircraft.

Singapore Airline update 3.

The picture is being used by many Thai emergency responders sites and aviation sites, and it appears to show the aircraft on the ground at BKK, as thhe medics are doing triage on the passengers. Replacement Singapore Airlines aircraft due to land in a few hours, it is carrying some passengers from SQ321 who are unhurt and wished to continue with their journey to Singapore. When landing passengers and relatives will be moved to a special waiting area away from the media.

I said a suggestion that was a lot more likely than the poster I replied to, who said the plane was following apart. “One passenger on board said the plane suffered a "dramatic drop", suggesting people not wearing a seatbelt were "launched immediately into the ceiling".” Here is any suggestion for you, that picture appears to taken on the ground as medical staff are doing triage, as the person on the far left is wearing a shirt that seems to say AOT nurse. Think it will depend on how bad the turbulence was and is classified, yes there was a death and injuries, but full details are lacking and will be subjected to a full investigation. Will be interesting to see from flight-radar site, if the aircraft is flying again in a couple of weeks after repair, checks and be certified safe to fly.
