Remains of Missing Korean Man Discovered in Chon Buri Reservoir
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Sorry, but just reporting what the police commander reported. I would image that there is some top level agreement of how the case is dealt with, including any extraditions. I have also seen reported that this was a possible gang killing, with the victim having stolen from the gang and ran off to Thailand, with the 3 suspects sent to reclaim what was stolen or deal with the problem. -

Worker's Heroic Act Ends Tragically in Map Ta Phut Fire
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Eastern Thailand News
Yes agree with your comment, but the graphic shows the wrong location for 2024 incident, I have corrected the location below. My original graphic was based on incorrect information issued by EMCC (Environmental Monitoring and Control Centre), showing early wind direction, when the evacuation was first started. The 2021 incident caused 3 deaths and 2 serious injuries, -
It was reported on Thai social media that 5 employees had been sacked, after they left their jobs, without permission, to evacuate the area when the fire occurred. In a statement by SCG Chemicals (SCGC) it clarifies that it is not related to the news of any sacking of employees from this fire incident. “Mr. Sakchai Patiphanpreechawut Chief Executive Officer and President SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited or SCGC revealed that recently there was news on social media that employees were sacked because they were fleeing the fire at the tank terminal. SCGC would like to confirm that the news is not related to the company in any way whatsoever The company has not sacked any employees and currently, all company employees continue to perform their duties as usual.”

PM Plans to Upgrade and Rename Hua Hin Airport
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am News
Reminder about Thai airports, that in addition to this upgrade there is talk about a new second airport for Chiang Mai, the often discussed additional airport for Koh Samui, plus plans to spend 50 billion baht on the development of a additional seven regional airports in Nakhon Pathom, Bueng Khan, Mukdahan, Kalasin, Phayao, Phatthalung and Satun provinces The facts are that currently only 19 of the DOA's (Department of Airports) 29 current airports have scheduled commercial air services, while the rest either only have a handful of flights each week or no commercial flights. The airports I believe, with no scheduled flights are Tak, Nakhon Ratchasimi, Pattani, Petchabun, Pai, Mae Sariang, Uttaradit and Betong. AOT (Airports of Thailands) operates 6 airports, Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang Airport, Phuket International Airport, Chiang Mai International Airport, Hat Yai International Airport and Chiang Rai International Airport. U- Tapao Airport is owned by RTN (Royal Thai Navy) and operated by DOA Koh Samui International Airport, Sukhothai Airport and Trat Airport are owned and operated by Bangkok Airways. -

Premiership football and euros 2024 what channels please
Georgealbert replied to jwest10's topic in General Topics
No Thai channel/station has yet purchased the broadcasting rights for the Euros, and it is not included in the “must have, must carry rule”. Going by previous experience, expect an announcement in the final week or days, before the competition starts. https://www.nationthailand.com/news/sport/40037929 -
Fully agree, this picture from the video posted above, clearly shows the ground floor office area, which has suffered some expected water damage.

I just explained, if it is insured, they will investigate and the amount paid out will depend on those findings, and adjusted if the owner if found to be at fault in anyway. That is the same in any country, and the higher the claim, the more the insurance company will look. Seems some people think all fires are insurance fraud, when in fact attempted arson and the cause of the fire is most of the time easy to detect, based on the seat of fire, presents of suspect material/items, CCTV, multi seats of fire, fire development, etc. Responders will have no interest in if the premises are insured or not, that will be left to the police, forensic team and insurance loss adjusters.

Please explain why you first thought is insurance, are you suggesting insurance fraud? This was the offices for an expense complex. If it is insured, any payment will be withheld until fully investigated by the police and the insurers themself. Any faults, failings or lack of diligence by the owners will see a reduction or non payment of any claims.
