Yep... It's probably even worse. And they make billions of this garbage... God, they're good..... -
Using dollars in Cambodia is stupid
MrPancake replied to MrPancake's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
You know what ? You were right. "True. I'm gonna think about it." and "I'm gonna think about it" mean the exact same thing. I'm out. Back to Vietnam next week. I'll spend my dollars elsewhere lol -

Sounds interesting. Where can I listen to Tokyo Radio Kawaii ? Youtube ? -
Unless you're american, don't get dollars to spend in Cambodia. It's stupid. You will get it up the brownie twice. First you'll exchange whatever money you have for dollars or withdraw dollars. In both cases, you will pay a commission. Withdrawal is usually a flat rate of 5 dollars + whatever your bank fee is + whatever rate visa / mastercard is offering. So that's already some of your money gone. Then you'll pay in dollars and get riels back at the unofficial rate of 1dollar = 4000 riels. That's a 123 riels loss on each dollar based on the current official rate - roughly 3%. So another 3$ down the drain for each 100$ bill you have. I got 400$ soooo : 5$ ATM withdrawal fee + 3.50$ Wise fee (1.75% after the first fee-free 200$) + 12$ in unfavorable FX rate when buying stuff. A total of roughly 20$ on 400$ <<<<<< I hate this country >>>>>> LOL

I'm getting old. I don't understand this world anymore... -
I've been trying to figure out why so many people seem to love K-Pop. Sure the girls are kinda cute if you like the white skin asian style. But apart from that, wtf ???

I have no opinion. I'm stating facts. Just look at most victims of crime in Pattaya. Why do you want my pic, creep ? Don't be weird now... -

Let me remind you that you started talking to me, not the other way around. If anything I'm the one who should tell you to run along. lol -
I feel you. Those topics are definitely the funniest. I also like posts by phony people like that one time when a guy posted "My problem is that I can't spend enough money in Thailand" lol Those agent provocateurs crack me up every time. Frankly I would say it's pretty easy to figure what is political or not. Anything based on values rather than cold data is political. Essentially everything is political except hard science.

Immigration and Police Conduct Nightlife Security Sweep in Nana Area
MrPancake replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
On the one end they complain about not having enough business, on the other they wanna through out the few mongers still dumb enough to pay crazy prices to boost their ego around sex workers. Where is the logic in that... Populist bs imo. -

No. I agree with you. Reality doesn't. I'm all for respect for anyone not asking for troubles. Actually even those asking for troubles should be treated respectfully as much as possible. -
That's normal. The very natural of politics is intellectual conflicts. Heated arguments is the bedrock of healthy democratic debate. That brings me to you choosing this specific example. I don't think it very representative of what's going on generally speaking in the AN pub. As for insulting I would make a distinction between people winding each other up in a kind of fraternal way and people being plain nasty. Again hygienism should be avoided. Otherwise the entire place will end up with a woke mindset with idiots feeling offended all the time for no reasonable reasons, people getting banned because they say something without sourcing even the most obvious things (happens to me the other day with inflation in the housing sector) and things like that. Humans are what they are, the current system is what it is, Thailand is what it is, the farang crowd is what it is. This forum isn't gonna change any of that. Most people that I meet in real life don't even know about it (btw I was quiet surprised at first). We should all participate in the threads we want and leave others participate in whatever they are interested in even if we think it's dumb. For example people talking about property in Thailand, their EV car, etc... bore me to death so I just don't participate in their threads. On the other hand I'm always having a laugh when discussing topics like bar girls, random news, thai-farang relationships, the latest TAT strategy, idiotic political debates, etc... I also like to provoke reactions using humor or borderline subtext, etc... Too much correctness ends up in conformist garbage, usually pretty conservative, with all inconvenient truths being swept under the rug. This eventually leads to pensée unique. As I understand it reading veteran users, this forum has been suffering from it for ages with harsh moderation and a subsequent massive exodus of "quality users".

Not true. I went to see a hairdresser 2 weeks ago. -
Hygienist take on the "problem". As long as you don't insult people, you should be able to express yourself as you see fit. What matters is the protection of individuals' dignity.

I agree but reality doesn't. As a matter of fact, if you respect yourself people will tend to respect you. If you look like a victim or a trash can, bad people will tend to target you. Bad people tend to be cowards. If they feel like you're a respectable person, they will find a less dangerous play. It's sad but I don't make the rules. How come are victims almost always hippies, bums, drunkhards or indians? -
Is it me or Phnom Penh is actually kinda expensive ?
MrPancake replied to MrPancake's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I've been exploring outside the riverside district this morning. Much better. The touristy area is the worse part of the city really. Nothing makes sense here. Prices is all over the place. People are nice though. Dodgy characters you'll find only around the riverside area. -
Every lady is different. You didn't pick one that suits your sexual needs. That's all. Move on. Life is short, plenty of women out there to test in order to find the right ones.

Your post doesn't make any sense. You don't like a certain type of content, just don't participate in the thread. Period.
