No concern to you but others have family and or genuinely want the country to move forward. You, obviously don't care

This is a really stupid post. Expatriates that have been here for decades have frustrations built up as they would in home countries bc this is their home country! Some things are especially frustrating bc we know they are stupid and will never change. Having said that.. I'm back in US at the moment and everything is sad and broken. I told my wife the only thing I will ever moan about in Thailand are: Moto on footpath Broken footpaths *I live in central Bangkok I'd urge some of you if needed to travel back and look at what used to be their country. Pre Biden, pre COVID, pre 2008 crash. The nation is wholly broken. Dealing with anyone in service is an absolute nightmare. I'm never going back again. Dead serious.

Yeah, correction MAY go in Friday at 330pm lead up to big three day holiday. No statement, they just change their propaganda. Recent article I read on past NYT editors commenting on what has become of the rag

7-Eleven in Thailand Reports Record Income of 399 Billion Baht in 2023

Haha Family is out of business in Thailand. I saw a 7 move next to family. They are often near but these two shared a wall. Family was finished in two years. 7 business model just so superior. When confronted with the two as much as I don't really support CP I do support 7... I would without hesitation go to 7:00 even if it was a bit farther. The cleanliness, the air conditioning was usually ice cold, 90% are relatively clean. The 10% are perhaps in highly trafficked Central Bangkok. Finally it just had what I was looking for. Many times that going to family and walk out empty-handed. That doesn't mean I'm getting my meals there although b30 coffee (was 25) is one of few the only thing that I put in my mouth from 7. -

Yes, as we all know Thailand is the country of hubs. It's too bad it seemingly lacks the spokes -

7-Eleven in Thailand Reports Record Income of 399 Billion Baht in 2023
Sluglord replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yeah, but they are routine food stop for TikTokers in central BKK! Years ago I recall vividly noting that the prices were just a few baht more than Big C and it was very difficult to make the walk of additional kilometer instead of just doing the 200 m. Now, as you have stated it's all about the convenience thing and they charge for it. -

It really is a thing. I don't eat much junk food and snack but sometimes I just want a bag of something. I have stopped buying potato crisps and I avoid all Jack and Jill products as I have seen these shrink in volume or size by 50% -

In US alcohol is a highly competitively priced product. Here you could go to a big box store in BKK that is famous for being a big discounter did you pay the same amount of for booze and some 7-Eleven 1,000 km up country in the middle of nowhere. -

Judging by my visit to tick tock it appears that much of this is due to foreign tick tockers and their fetish with junk food at this arm of CP conglomerate. Come to Thailand and rave about s***** sandwiches from a convenience store... -
Thailand aims to become Southeast Asia’s leading halal hub by 2028
Sluglord replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
There's no real tourism unless you include bars and brothels in south. In the 30 plus years I've been in and out of this country I think I've met probably fewer Malaysian than I could count on one hand. -

Maybe they ought to chill on killing the Muslims in the south first? Yet another article discussing the prime Minister and some minor, petty issue that does not rise to the level of the office Hub of hubs. Meanwhile, Vietnam inches ever closer... -

Why many Thai girls go with tomboys? Your opinion

I don't know where you live bro but on the BTS MRT I see scores of milfy women. Lately, I've just been thinking how well many Thai women hold up I to late 40s even into 50s all things considered. My wife is 48 and not unattractive -

I think they get asked out and it moves on from there Thai style. The Dee's rarely seem into it or emotionally engaged. Always just looks like .. a date. The thing I've noticed over the years is how aggressively the Tom's physically manage the women it's obvious they are manipulative, lack confidence. If a man, especially foreign did something like that eyes would roll. I see this behavior a great deal on MRT. Anyone else notice? There are still a lot of all boys, all girls schools in Thailand although there are no public schools that are built these days because the government has realized how dysfunctional it makes the children. There's already quite a separation of between sexes in younger years here. Students are a great disadvantage not mixing with the other gender. The Dee's just into it for the companionship, attention. Paid dates? I think this whole homosexual relationship thing is just fashionable. After young people grow and mature they fall out of that nonsense. If it's not a lifestyle you're living then it's just fashionable. Trendy. -
TikTok posters - Shockingly bad information about Thailand
Sluglord replied to Sluglord's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
All of the Thai language stuff is rubbish as well. It's really quite useless for learning in such a format. The words and phrases might be somewhat important but in the context of no value imo. It's also hilarious all of the random man online trying to get the attention of the women posters. 🙄 -

From my time on TikTok nothing was excellent although one poster named Aster I found funny. Lots of sexy Thai women and the latest north east Asian beauty standards are jaw dropping. There's a lot of trash on YouTube to be sure but you can find some quality stuff there. I think TT it's just a huge void of intelligence -
