  1. I enjoy visiting Bangkok but never want to stay long. It is always polluted.
  2. Don't know those areas well enough to advise.
  3. Enjoy your Bob Marley forums then. Some gyms have good client base for meeting people and a wide range of equipment. Some of the crossfit equipment is fun.
  4. I do both. Beach walks and gym. Thailand has some great gyms. The air pollution is also a problem with outside exercise.
  5. Depends what city you are in. All the large cities have many gyms. As cheap as 40 baht a day. I can see 3 to 5 good ones in each large city that are inexpensive. The cleaner said he loves the gym but did not mention going to many.
  6. I would go to the best gyms, restaurants and experience the city. No city is ever that bad if you make an effort. Go to the 3 best gyms, 3 different restaurants. Try 3 different hotels in different locations. Take a bus outside the city and experience some beaches. Rent a scooter and explore Rayong and beyond. Next trip try that.
  7. I was interested in all these great foods you ate.
  8. What's your favourite shopping mall for lunch?
  9. They don't make movies about retired people who go to the mall for lunch. That's not a great life, that's an ordinary life. Totally fine if you are happy with that. Just not a great life. Nobody in 100 years will remember you.
  10. Your reading skills are lacking. I never said any individual was not happy. People with great lives don't join forums and don't try to act better than other people. That does not mean anyone is unhappy, just that in reality they have nothing better to do. If you have low expectations then go to the mall for lunch and tell people you are happy.
  11. You sound bored like the cleaner. At least he helps the hospital run.
  12. Nobody on any internet forum has a great life. That's why they joined one. If they had a great life they would never join up. If you are on a forum then you are no better than anyone else who is.
  13. Then you have no life then. I was right. If you were busy doing so many things you would never join a forum.
  14. Being a gym person you could visit the top 5 gyms in each city you visit. For a start GoGym, O2 gyms in Chiang Mai, Gorilla Gym in Chiang Rai. I have not been to them but they look very good for low cost.
  15. If life is so great you would never have joined a forum.
  16. If that what makes him happy all the best. In the long run probably better off than just doing hobbies on rotate for 25 years. I've never yet met a person who retired young and lasted more than 10 years as boredom sets in or they spent too much money.
  17. What if people don't like golf or movies? Then it is just exercise so would not be fun for many. Retirement tends to suit low achievers with low expectations. You don't see many high achievers retiring young.
  18. That applies to anyone without hobbies. If you don't find hobbies you will need to work until you drop off.
  19. What is Ranong like? I'm looking for something similar to Hua Hin.
  20. There is an exercise scientist called Dr Mike. He gives good advice on training. Another one is Matt Wenning.
  21. Maybe time for a girlfriend or boyfriend. Pushing luggage around for exercise or hobby is getting ridiculous.
  22. You went to Pattaya for 6 weeks. Carrying the bag would not be much.
  23. Have a look at Kanchanaburi, Chiang Mai also. Usually tourists don't spend more than 5 days in Bangkok.
