US Tariffs Threaten Thai Economy with B360bn Blow
PuiPuiHarry replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Every country needs income to pay their State bills. Many countries use income, VAT, company profit etc taxes + some import duty. In Thailand, the source of import duty is very important, as...other taxes are much more difficult to get in. As far as I now, EXPORT tax is levies very seldon, but IMPORT tax often. So, when US goods to go TH, they are NOT taxed in the US as export, but info Thailand as Import. Same the other way round. When Trump, in is unendness and always 100% correct wisdom, decides to increase the IMPORT tax of Thai goods into the US, he hopes the next day the US is able to replace these import goods with domestic production, if companies have production facilities and -lines ready the next day. If not, the imported products will increase in price, at least the amount of import duty is levied on it, so Thai goods a + 37 % when inside the US. I am sure, the pineapple etc production will be grown overnight, so for pineapple the US consumer will have not any disadvantage. ( of has to switch to US grown foods, which is already abundant, therefore no food imports ever into the US). In this example, because Thai pineapple will be a lot more expensive, US consumer will buy less, and Thailand will export less to the US. His Unendless Lying Wishdom forgets, other nations might react with IMPORT tariffs on US products into their countries. Second: when their income drops because of less exports to the US, they lack the money to pay for US products. And maybe, as Thailand gets less revenues, they will levy a visa-amount , for instance: for every day an US citizen stays into Thailand, has to pay … e.g. a 5000 THB to compensate their use of Thai legal system ( protection against robbery = police, law system), for the use of infrastructure ( roads, trains etc) and other Thai State costs. -
Trump Starts Global Tariff Wall, Thailand Hit with 36% Tax
PuiPuiHarry replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So, a nice price increase for all these products at the US market. Not only the 36% import duty, but also the mark-up of the distribution chain inside the USA. What a gorgious inflation swung. But of course, the Yanks are growing pineapple, mango, lychee, etc from tomorrow. And their industry can replace from tomorrow all their US imports. And.. all states on the word will NOT retaliate with increaded import duties on the import of US products into their lands.. -

Thailand Holds Off on 30-Day Visa-Free Change Decision
PuiPuiHarry replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
As owner and working in Thai Trade Service Co. since 1994, to promote Thai foods into Europe I thought I could come to Thailand for a 2-3 months as a kind of retirement after my wife passed away, without any difficulties, but.. I am as welcome as white trash... Pity, but I will stay in Europe. -

I remember a 30 years ago: a Thai national, who robbed a lot of jewellery from a Saudi princess but was caught in Thailand. The jewellery was gone, but,.., at a police party, many ladies wore these jewels. An outcry from the Saudi's. Thailand was and stays a hub for jewelry thieves. -
Or the capibara, lama, etc from South America ? How to feed all these animals, till a natural situation would be back, to feed the predators... DECADES. Last-but-not-least: ask any physicist how much water normal air can hold and ask, how many cm ( mtr ?) can rain out of this saturated air. Remind: even the highest mountain had to be covered. One big nonsense story, only Trump believers can follow.

Find me one other written story except in the Bible, and I will start to believe this story. For me not more that a bunch of followers of Achnaton, who fled out of Egypt after the death of his farao, and took with them the believe in a ONE god with them. The rest.. is a 7-800 years historical contamination till scolars in Babylonia ( before Cyrus, king of Medes and Persians) start to write all oral stories down.

Just a list of aid to Ukraine. Yes, the US Patriots, Himars, and Atacams + military intelligence was and are very important for the Ukraine army, but it was NOT the over US$ 500 billion as continuous Liar "grab them by the pussy" US president Donald Trump states, but just a US$ 114 billion. The EU and it member states donated US$ 130,53 Billion. See https://www.statista.com/statistics/1303432/total-bilateral-aid-to-ukraine/ But just as usual, Liar Donald made his own figures. In the meantime, the Europeans are changing their Eutelsat and SES sats to replace the US, building alternatives to the Patriot, modifying their Taurus and Storm Shadows, increasing their production of ammunition, and building up their defence separate of the untrustworthy USA. -
Americans are like ambulance drivers, who ask the victim to sign an debt ( IOU) bill of $ 400.000 first or let him/her perish on the street after a shout-out ( so regular happening in Trump United States). One big advantage: finally the Europeans stop arguing, and are mergin to a (more-or-less) union state. Then.. kick out all Americans forever. As Putin let the Europeans switch to alternative energy sources, Liar Trump will finally unite the Europeans.

Not only at school. I attended a 20 years or so ago a lecture about bipo certification of foods according EU regulations. At the end the person, who did the explantations asked if there were any questions. ZERO. So, he asked some questions the the attenders, and.. some even did not understand English; were only sent as a reward for their work/services.

Germany’s Merz calls for ‘independence’ from US after election win

Brief comparison: Warsaw Pact and Soviet Union would have been promised, that NATO would not absorb members east of the BRD. Meanwhile, GDR (14 mln inw), Poland ( 40 mln inw), Czechia (10.5 mln inw), Slovakia (5.4) , Hungary (10.2) , Romania (19.6) and Bulgaria (6.7) are members, as are Estonia (1.3) , Latvia (1.8) and Lithuania (2.7). Ukraine (38), Moldova (3) and Georgia (3.7) would also very much like to join, and looking at the protests against electoral fraud by Lukashenko et al in Belarus (9.5), presumably that country too. For Azerbaijan (12.3), Kazakhstan (19.5), Uzbekistan (36), Tajikistan (10.2), Turkmenistan (6.6) and Kyrgyzstan (6.9), it's a far cry from my bed show, but are glad, that after more than 2 centuries, the Muscovite oppressions are finally gone. Armenia (3.0) has beenTrumped by Putin. Just because the old in fact colonial oppressor, Russia, with 140 mln inhabitants feels cheated, should all these other countries just comply ? -
Is Thailand’s healthcare more affordable than in the West?
PuiPuiHarry replied to CharlieH's topic in Insurance in Thailand
Medical costs in the USDA are more criminal. I compare the prices with what I have to pay in Europe ( Netherlands) and then TH is about 50-75% of the bills here. Only the medical insurance is here a lot better organised, over your entire life span and there fore also at old age bearable. -
Throw all Americans out of Europe, set up our own industry, inclusive the military, entertainment and software, on the speed the Nazi's did since 1938 and forget these yanks for the coming century. 450 million EU citizens, 70 million UK and 44 million Ukraine citizens are ridiculed by a permanent lying president of a 335 million inhabitants nation

Trump Joins the Axis. NATO Dead. WW111 Imminent?
PuiPuiHarry replied to Old Croc's topic in Political Soapbox
How you want to organise an election with millions displaced in their own country or abroad, locked in occupied areas, and the country under siege ? Did the USA hold elections during the independence war, as later, never any territory was under occupation. During WW2 there were NO elections in Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Tsjechoslowakia, Poland etc, so all "governemts" were illegal ? Only an American, with close to zero knowledge about the history of other countries can come on such ideas.
