  1. No illegal lorry, the guy is likely back at the family home safe and well.
  2. Maybe farmers will have to sell their land to the Government to pay for the inheritance tax.
  3. Is pron hub a dodgy web site for shellfish?
  4. With all the bashing that happens on this forum it's nice to see a happy story. Hope the tourist is very grateful. I almost said "with all the bashing that happens on this forum it's nice to see a happy ending". Luckily I didn't. 🤐
  5. It's obviously avoidable. This clearly should not be school transport. But it's all that's available in Thailand in 2024. Fixes for this start at the top of Government. Not at school level.
  6. I'm so sad to say that I wish this was true.
  7. If she's proven to have broken the law then she deserves the appropriate legal sanction. Same goes for anyone, whoever they are or whatever position they hold.
  8. There's so much negativity from some commentators, too many sad news stories and too much Thai or Farang bashing (even though sometimes justified it must be said). So it's great to see a good news story for the image Thailand. Hope it happens more often.
  9. Should be banned from any contact with any female: virtual, physical or verbal, for the rest of his miserable existence. Hope the young women can recover their dignity and confidence and move on with their lives.
  10. It seems that the wrong person drowned.
  11. Or was it a fraction of a foot? 🤐🤭
  12. Clarkson's Farm is a great insight into farming issues. Supermarkets don't always pay a fair price for goods. If they did supermarket prices may increase, hitting the poorest people in society and increase inflation. That inflation increase could impact businesses through increased wage demands or other costs. AKA, people on both the left and right could be impacted, I don't have a solution by the way! Not sure the status quo is correct though. Not sure what Labour has done is correct either. Classic political dilemma.
  13. Would Hammas listen to the normal human beings seeking to live their lives in peace so they can raise their children in safety and prosperity?
  14. True. In London have seen plenty of children riding pillion, but yeah they have protective gear on. Not many as young as 4 though on motorbikes, but plenty on bicycles.
  15. Seems the Monitor wanted to snap up a bargain from the Store.
  16. Happens all over the world. Has happened to me in London. Thailand is not unique to this unfortunate craziness. I'm sad for these avoidable deaths.
  17. Such a complex case. Except, of course, for the fact that he was never guilty of murder.
  18. Rubbish. Look at the polls. "The Conservatives hold a 19-point lead over the Liberals". https://newsinteractives.cbc.ca/elections/poll-tracker/canada/ Even Kamala couldn't screw that lead up.
  19. Ooh! Maybe that's why the judges chose Thailand? After intensive cultural research? Great that this news story has a happy ending.
  20. Wonder if the Police are considering a naked lineup of all men in the building? Should find the culprit, and maybe a person of interest for the women? As long as the air con isn't too fierce...
  21. Sad. Hope he gets proper treatment. For both the visible and invisible injuries.
  22. @James105 - totally agree. But... In the latest figures I can see, Sainsburys made a profit of over £500m in a 28-week period. These leeches can well afford this extra tax without passing it on. Disgusting corporate greed. https://www.about.sainsburys.co.uk/news/latest-news/2024/07-11-24-interim-results-for-the-28-weeks-ended-14-september-2024 I'm no labour supporter, but I hope Labour keep an eye on this and put a windfall tax on Sainsburys if Sainsburys cheat their customers using this NI increase as an excuse to fleece their customers in the same way they've done since the pandemic. Or, increase the tax burden on the Sainsburys Board members so that they earn absolutely nothing.
  23. By my rough calculation, if this investment maintains a 6.1% growth then they'll earn an extra 500 million this coming year, over an above what they've earned in the past year (8.2 billion). A pretty good RoI if it works. Good luck to them!
