Can Europe’s downfall be attributed to “white guilt”?
MalcolmB replied to hotsun's topic in Political Soapbox
Very sweeping generalization. The overwhelming majority of Arabs are not wanting to kill white people. As a Brit I feel regret for the way we have raped and pillaged around the world, it was entitled and cruel. I don’t feel any regret for what Hitler did to the Jews. That was the Germans, not us. -

We can’t force Muslims to be woke. They are entitled to their own opinion. Probably a good thing to have them to off balance all the wokeness. wokeness is bringing down the western world, not Muslims. The west has given women equality over the last 50-70 years and they haven’t achieved much. And they are very ungrateful for all we have done for them. -

Israelis in Thailand Urged to Uphold Respectful Conduct

There is a post-military tradition of travel among young Israelis, with thousands of Israelis spending months in countries such as India, Sri Lanka and Thailand every year. But the number of these Israelis converging on Pai has riled up the local population. “The Israelis here treat us like second-class citizens … we’re tired of it,” a Thai businessman in Pai, who requested anonymity fearing a fallout affecting his firms, told This Week in Asia. https://www.scmp.com/week-asia/lifestyle-culture/article/3299193/young-israelis-rile-thailands-pai-town-their-bad-behaviour -

“The complaints say they are drunk and rowdy… they steal,” Police Major Kriengkrai Sansalee told This Week in Asia. “[People say] they come in large groups, spend a little and bargain a lot. Local businesses are affected the most because when they come, other tourists go elsewhere.” So far this year, 13 Israelis had been charged and deported for crimes ranging from theft to public nuisance, he added. https://www.scmp.com/week-asia/lifestyle-culture/article/3299193/young-israelis-rile-thailands-pai-town-their-bad-behaviour -

The thousands of businesses producing and selling this now legal product around Thailand and their families. The millions of Thais and millions of tourists who now can have a puff without having to pay off corrupt police. And the tens of thousands of cancer patients etc that benefit from marijuana. -

I haven’t seen any Thais banning and putting up “No Brits” signs anywhere in Thailand. -

It appears smoking marijuana in public is one of the problems, exposing children and others to the marijuana fumes. There is still a lot of people opposed to marijuana being legal and this gives them something to complain about. i hope these Israelis don’t ruin it for everyone. https://www.chiangmaicitylife.com/citynews/general/pai-police-step-up-law-and-ordering-citing-disruptive-israeli-tourists/ -
As of February this year, 13 Israelis had been charged and deported for crimes ranging from theft to public nuisance, according to a police spokesperson. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/asia/thailand-northern-pai-israeli-paetongtarn-4946631 The issue garnered public attention after a doctor shared a post on Feb 4 highlighting the individuals’ recurring disruptive behaviours. “These tourists regularly smoke on hospital property, steal items, and have damaged our emergency room doors,” the doctor wrote on Feb 4, as quoted by Khaosod. “When they do come for treatment, they often refuse basic medical procedures like blood tests and wound care, making it extremely difficult for our staff to help them.”

Caption says A shop in Pai district of Mae Hong Son posts a sign saying “NO ISRAEL HERE” after tourists caused disturbances in the community. (File photo) I am not sure where you got the 20 years old from? But I will take your word for it. I knew that these signs were common in the southern islands but didn’t realise that this had also been going in Pai for at least 20 years. It doesn’t seem to deter them, 30,000 showed up there last year.
