  1. Not correct. It is using a word that sounds similar. If I called you a "banker" that would be a malapropism. No offence intended.
  2. Ditto Don't let it go uncorrected or before long everyone in the group will be misusing the word. Rather than correct someone to their face and maybe in front of friends, I politely tell them that they should google the word. "Frottage" is a prime example of a misused word.
  3. Hit her with the truth and ask her if she has a friend who is more energetic in bed as her performance is below average. Three possible outcomes. a. She bucks her ideas up. You win. b. She gets you a better performer. You win. c. She walks out in a hissy fit. You look for the next one.
  4. My guess would be......NO I have 3 phase electricity in my house and outside in the road there are 5 lines One for each phase, one ground and one for street lighting.
  5. I am from down south as well and have never heard of Lanc Sauce before. Is it so good they keep it a secret? I want to test your claim. Can I get it in Thailand?
  6. Both of those are OK but not good enough. For the real gourmet experience you need to get Hendersons Relish It is available in Thailand. Anyone here from Sheffield will tell you that Henderson's is 100% better than L&P
  7. I am really surprised that no one has twisted that comment around. I won't do it because I love Marmite, I was brought up on Marmite soldiers and dippy eggs.
  8. never thought of OXO cubes before. Thanks. I wonder if grilled toms and Oxo would hit the right spot
  9. Butter and then Nam Prik Dar Dang. Try it before you slag me off
  10. I had no problem registering a car in another province. No questions were asked I liked the old number and didn't want to change it. I have also renewed the tax using my local DLT Again no problems
  11. I have owned two Ford Focus in Thailand. Both were very good cars and just as reliable as all the Toyota I have owned. However you must be careful which model you buy. Forget the 1.5 turbo Ecosport because the engine has a bad design. It is called the Ecoboom by traders for a reason. The earlier models have the SportShift gearbox There are two types of SportShift gearboxes, the DCT250 and the DCT450. The DCT250 has a dry clutch and is plagued with problems. The DCT450 has a wet clutch and is reliable but don't miss a gearbox oil change. There was a small batch of Mk1 Focus TDCi imported around 2008 with manual transmission. If I could find a good low mileage example at a sensible price I would buy it. Many parts are available online. I also order parts from MIck's garage in Ireland. Good service and prices. I avoid the main Ford Stealership because of their high prices and long delivery times.
  12. Some types of tint interfere with GPS signals. If you use any GPS devices in your car then make sure you get a type that is suitable.
  13. Are you sure about that? I don't even take my car to the DLT to renew my tax. They only want the blue book and insurance and money. No inspection ever needed for tax, only for change of ownership. Anyway, let's move on. This thread is supposed to be about window tint.
  14. You can't even get my name right so no chance of getting your facts right. I bought the vehicle in Bangkok and then registered it myself in my home province. I was refused a registration plate because the tint was 5% over the limit. Moral of the story is to get the vehicle registered before having the tint installed.
  15. Sorry but they do have the equipment. I registered a new vehicle some years back and they used a meter to measure the tint. I had to remove the brand new tint before they would register it.
