  1. Well, cheer up, Bob. One minute you’re the high-rolling big-baller king of Hong Kong, swimming in cash and escorts, and the next, you’re back in Thailand, sulking heavily into your keyboard again, and with Mrs. Smith bossing you around. It's totally understandable. Just a classic case of post-escort blues. Maybe a hand-jobby hobby would help? Something other than counting the days until your next rant about a country you "can’t stand for even a second" but refuse to leave. Just a thought...
  2. Must admit Bob, this topic isn't one of your best windups, but I do give you credit for putting in the added effort on all the BS replies. What else you gonna do on a boring Sunday, right?
  3. Blighty no, HK no, Russia or N. Korea then???
  4. Lucky man you are. Never did myself, sadly. Did you ever see them in NYC at MSG? That's where the live album the Song Remains The Same was recorded. I think that was the peak of their live performances, just after Zoso was released. I've seen Floyd, U2, Aerosmith, The Kinks, INXS, RHCP, etc.
  5. https://www.limetorrents.lol/ - That's just what a friend told me. Lol.
  6. I think it's showing in theaters in Europe and parts of the US right now. I don't know if it will ever make it to the theaters in Thailand.
  7. I think he's considered a serial moaner. King of the windups though.
  8. Indeed Bob, horrible place! All the sex. Terrible! Low risk of getting attacked in the street for your phone or otherwise, not like in London. Atrocious! Thai food is much better than English food. Dreadful! And the weather in Thailand is so much warmer than in the UK. Horrific! Less bureaucracy in Thailand than the UK. Awful! Lower cost of living in Thailand than in the UK. Abysmal! So can't blame you for rushing back to The Empire. When are you leaving?
  9. Not sure about living there. It's not International enough. There's only one flavor there and it gets old. But great for extended visits. Go for a month.
  10. Not sure what opened your eyes about Hong Kong. Try Japan. Fantastic for outdoors. Clean. Everything works. Nothing dodgy. Just avoid the big, hyper populated cities. May is one of the best months to go. The weather is pretty much perfect for most of the month of May. The world is your oyster.
  11. I don't rate Hong Kong at all. I've been there at least half a dozen times. Probably closer to a dozen times. Thankfully, I haven't had to go back there again recently. Local food is pretty awful. Forget about the women. Most of the people I know who used to live there have left because of China retaking control. I have a good friend living there who is about to get out for the same reason. I'm sure you can find a better place. Hong Kong would probably be last on my list.
  12. Has anyone watched this new documentary film about Led Zeppelin yet? I just saw it. A great piece of music history. I don't want to ruin it with a lot of spoilers, but really worth seeing. I also don't watch much in the way of films or TV series these days, but this was memorable.
  13. Well, I think we can probably kick in a few extra quid for a plate of fish and chips and a kettle of tea for him, at least, no?
  14. Ok, so what's your plan? Antidepressants aren't helping? How long have you been on them? What's your next move? Gotta have a plan, man.
  15. I reckon nothing that a couple of hours with a ladyboy can't fix, right?
  16. No such thing exists.
  17. It's a windup. Do you know what that means? If somebody really had issues and they needed help, they wouldn't be here trolling on an anonymous forum. Think about it. Do the math. Common sense.
  18. How much would you contribute to the GoFundMe account to get rid of him? Or better yet, how much do you think it will take?
  19. When you've got money, you always have options. If Thailand really is your problem, then you can just leave. Or is Thailand not really your problem?
  20. Gotta hand it to Bob, this is a top-tier windup, full marks, maybe one of the best I have seen on this site. Hooks people right in with the empathy angle. Full credit where it is due, I did not think BS had it in him to pull off something this well-crafted. The whole “I am on meds and had to up my dose” bit is a clever touch, really sells the narrative and also helps explain why all of Bob’s windup posts always have such a bitter, scathing edge. That said, while I do believe Bob is often miserable in real life, it is a shame he could not use his creativity for a windup with a more positive spin for once. But let’s be honest, people love watching others struggle. It is a way of coping with their own unresolved misery, finding solace in the notion that someone else has it even worse. That is why disaster stories and tales of suffering always draw the most engagement. Bob knows this and he is playing it masterfully, luring people into sharing their own negativity so he can feed off the collective misery. A topic like this will always reel in more fish than something with a happier slant, that's why I feel it is so well played.
  21. I’ve been eating 60 to 90 grams of 72% percent chocolate per day on average for over 10 years. Love the stuff. Not sure it’s had any real effect on me physically, other than adding a little to my midsection. It’s incredibly calorically dense. But what really stings now is the cost. Prices just keep climbing because of the declining cocoa supply from West Africa. If you look into it, you’ll see that cocoa production has been struggling due to shifting weather patterns and climate change, things like too much rain, not enough rain, unpredictable conditions. Both Ivory Coast's and Ghana’s output have been hit hard. The European brand I normally buy just jumped up another 25 percent in price about a month ago. No idea where it’ll end, but over the last seven years, the price of the same chocolate I’ve been eating has more than doubled in total.
