  1. Exclusive: Russia close to cutting oil output due to drone attacks, sources say Russia's oil pipeline monopoly Transneft has warned producers they may have to cut output following Ukraine's drone attacks on critical export ports and refineries, three industry sources said on Tuesday. Kyiv has stepped up attacks on Russian energy assets since August in a bid to impede Moscow's war effort in Ukraine and reduce the Kremlin's revenues as attempts to secure an end to the conflict through peace talks have stalled. Oil and gas revenues have accounted for between a third and half of Russia's total federal budget proceeds over the past decade, making the sector the single most important source of financing for the government. Ukrainian drones have hit at least 10 refineries - cutting Russia's refining capacity by almost a fifth at one point - and damaged its leading Baltic Sea ports of Ust-Luga and Primorsk, Ukrainian military officials and Russian industry sources said. Russian authorities have not publicly commented on the extent of the damage or its impact on production and exports. However, Transneft, which handles more than 80% of all the oil extracted in Russia, has in recent days restricted oil firms' ability to store oil in its pipeline system, two industry sources close to Russian oil firms told Reuters. Transneft has also warned producers it may have to accept less oil if its infrastructure sustains further damage, the two sources said. The attacks could force Russia, which accounts for 9% of global oil production, to ultimately cut output, said the two sources and a third source familiar with oil pumping operations. The three sources asked not to be named due to sensitivity of the issue. Transneft did not answer requests for comment. https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/russia-close-cutting-oil-output-due-drone-attacks-sources-say-2025-09-16/
  2. Putin's clash with Russia's top banker shows increasing disconnect over war economy, experts say A recent clash between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Sberbank CEO German Gref shows an increasing disconnect between the Kremlin and Russia's economic community, experts say. Gref, head of Russia's largest bank, told the Eastern Economic Forum on Sept. 5 that Russia's GDP growth had slowed to near zero in July and August after a sharp drop in the April–June quarter. "The second quarter can practically be considered technical stagnation," he said. Putin pushed back, insisting lending continued and that the slowdown only reflected "a soft landing" to stabilize prices. "Ask Gref. Has lending stopped? No. The pace has just slowed," Putin said. Experts note that the rare public clash revealed a deep gap between the Russian leadership and financial specialists over the true costs of the war in Ukraine. War-fueled growth fading Official data show Russia's GDP grew 1.1% year-on-year in April–June, down from 1.4% in the first quarter and far below the 4.3% and 5.4% growth rates of the same periods in 2024. "The economy is not entering stagnation; it already has," Pendzin said. Some analysts say the picture is worse. https://kyivindependent.com/putin-top-banker-clash-over-russias-technical-stagnation-as-war-costs-mount/
  3. Sure. Switzerland is already on a top level. USA isn't. And will not be for the next few years- maybe also decades - as serious science (not what Kennedy junior thinks it might be) is getting kicked out and eliminated. And those well educated people will find new jobs outside of USA. And most of them will never come back again. Lost forever. If USA would be smart enough to produce products what other nations worldwide demand it would have a chance to sell more products on the international market. But instead Mr. Trump thinks that the whole world shall show respect for.... emmm... what exactly?!
  4. That sounds nice - but isn't realistic. Lot's of investors will for sure not invest in the US market. You can read this in european newspapaers. The chance that Trump changes his mind again is too big. And building servers (Apple) is not rocket science. It's only to keep your faboulus new dictator in a good mood. Buh-bye US-economy. And go on hailing youre grave digger. He shovels the big money only for him and his superrich buddies.
  5. Did you try to contact them? https://www.siemens-home.bsh-group.in.th/#anc-16050000 A good friend of mine has an old Siemens, they were able to fix it (Region Doi Saket / Chiang Mai)
  6. Sure that he's doing the right thing? Getting rid of cash (many countries would like to do so) means you are sitting in a glasshouse. Everything you spend, where, what time, amounts, goods etc.pp. can be dangerous in the hands of a government who want's to take control... Just think about it. Especially if the trump administration has these datas... Or Putin, or...
  7. Here without makeup. Shaking hands with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung at the white house.
  8. There are hundreds of thousands controllers from various machines where the hardware doesen‘t change. And not every RS-232 adapter can handle what the original port on old notebooks were able. For me absolutley possible what has been mentioned. Service notebooks don‘t go onto the net, they are used only fot that one purpose to be able to connect with the controller of the machine.
  9. Yes Massa. No checks and balances needed anymore. No understand Massa. But sure OK Massa. You know obvious much more. Sorry Massa.
  10. So you are an initiate. (QAnon?) And all others who lack your fundamentally profound knowledge cannot see your divine and universal knowledge... *Crawling backward in the dust with bowed head, I depart*
  11. Not sure if I understood this correctly. With open office you can open ANY kind of Windows sheet, regardless if it's a Win95, XP or whatever document. You also have then the same possibiltity to store any document in any kind of version. Of course it suggests the ".odt" format. But you can choose again whithout any issues in what kind of format or version you would like to have it and keep the exact same format that others can use too. As it's an open source sw, you can give it a try, costs you nothing except the installation time. AND the layout is old fashioned like windows 95 or XP. But as most of us grew up with all these different versions - no problem. I don't pay 100bucks to MS or Apple every year (!) that they allow me to use something that shouldn't cost anything.
  12. In my oppinion it doesen't really matter that much using Windows or Mac. We have both (stationary Mac, Notebook Windows). And are just common users. What I really appreciate about Mac is if it comes to a change to a newer device the fullbackup sets the new device exactly the same way up as I had on the old one. And I never had to bother about Anti-virus. Of course with the human sense not to click on every link that is offered. For word and excel we use open office on both devices.
  13. You have now shown several times that you have no idea how it is to live in Europe. Or what they produce. I was a lucky guy to see different countries. USA, Canada, South America , almost all european countries. Except South America not as a tourist. I gave trainings for technical staffs - in the US they called them engineers - what a laugh. BTW, The best scholars were all non-US... Honestly, I was quite shocked to make the experience on what kind of level USA had in many things. Especially in education and knowledge. Except to show off and trying to be Mr. Big shot a bit more humbleness would suit you well. But the Magastan tribe isn't able to do that.
  14. I agree, the spray does slow them down, and they don't seem to like the "peppermint" odor. I catched 3 days ago quite a big one - thought the fish in the pond would maybe like to have a different menue option. To my big surprise, the gecko was able to swim to the shore. Was a stunning moment for me. My big laugh was, that after he arrived the waters edge, a big frog or toad made a jump towards him and ... 🙂 Made my day...
  15. No, we don't have to wait every month until the minimum wage is paid. Europeans have an easier life when it comes to income and social safety. You call it socialism maybe?!
  16. You focus what's about the bill. US economy is going DOWN. btw The "Big Beautiful Bill" is President Trump's comprehensive US tax and spending bill, which, among other things, provides for the permanent extension of the TCJA tax cuts. Other provisions include new tax breaks for tips and overtime, a significant expansion of spending on defense and border protection, and massive cuts to climate and social services such as Medicaid. Critics see this as a massive increase in national debt, which could cost millions of people access to health insurance and slow the energy transition.
  17. Well, at least Merz knows what he's talking about. He doesen't shout "tariffs". European countries have prooved that they can handle ecomic problems. The US just blows up it's debt, again now with the big ugly bill.
  18. The german industry makes lots of better stuff than the US does. Good bye USA when trying to get the producing industy back.
  19. Emm, the F-45 isn't available yet, not even for the US. The F-35 cost's too much already.
  20. So selling the weapons is ok for Trump (and MAGA too). But oh no - you're not allowed to use them. Silly.
  21. Trump on Thursday seemed to betray frustration with the deadlock, in a cryptic social media post that hinted at support for Ukrainian strikes on Russian soil. “It is very hard, if not impossible, to win a war without attacking an invaders (sic) country,” he wrote. “It’s like a great team in sports that has a fantastic defense, but is not allowed to play offense.” So your messias makes TACO again. You have a really wierd president.
  22. WASHINGTON, Aug 23 (Reuters) - The Pentagon has been quietly blocking Ukraine from using U.S.-made long-range Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) to strike targets inside Russia, limiting Kyiv's ability to employ these weapons in its defense against Moscow's invasion, the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday, citing U.S. officials. ... https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/pentagon-restricts-ukraines-use-us-missiles-against-russia-wsj-reports-2025-08-23/
