I always used to do the renewals myself, but my last renewal 5+ years ago was far from stress free (Pattaya/Banglamung office). Had to go twice and spent hours waiting in line for each step of the process. So this time (3 months ago) I used an agent that was recommended by a friend. Completely stress free experience. In and out of the Rayong office in under an hour. Just brought my passport and old DLs. Didn't even have to get the medical certificate nor the certificate of residency. Highly recommended if you hate waiting and dealing with bored government officials.
