Scammers in Facebook surely not. Anyone asking for any money upfront is to be avoided.

That's why many cars have number plates that are missing or are unreadable. But the RTP do nothing about this either. -

Lazada - If it looks too good to be true ...
henryford1958 replied to Crossy's topic in General Topics
Only order (expensive) items from known stores in Thailand, with lots of good reviews. Never order when the price seems too good. The obvious example is memory cards where you often see adverts for say 512 gb cards for 100 baht !! -

Thai company accused of 3 billion baht condo scam
henryford1958 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I don't understand this scam. Meen was 900,000 baht in debt (23 x her monthly salary) on her credit card. The company offered to clear the debt if she bought a 4 million baht condo !! Even without this increasing to 16 million for 4 units why would she agree it ? It still left her 3.1 million in debt. -

Do you wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle in Thailand?
henryford1958 replied to MalcolmB's topic in General Topics
Hard to get a balanced response as most of the ones who don't wear helmets are dead. -
Healthcare is a human right, well so is housing and food. Do we give out free houses and free food? Healthcare is an expensive commodity and even wealthy countries have to ration it, otherwise you end up with a mess like the NHS in the UK where it is abused. People should be protected from life changing accidents but otherwise should contribute towards their healthcare as they do to buy a house or any other big item. They also should have to right to choose what level of healthcare they receive not have to accept what some socialist Government deems the lowest common denominator.

Even those can be useless. I have bought shorts shown as 36in but when i measure them barely 34 in. I never buy clothes on line now.

Dual Pricing in Thai Tourism: Economic Necessity or Hidden Bias?

I refuse to enter any park that adopts this discriminatory practice. I live here, support a thai family and probably pay more taxes than the average thai but am treated like this !! -
Have You Won the Game of Life?

So is the Thai girl going to support them for the next 60 years? You would need millions of $$$ for that amount of time. -
I doubt Stasi Starmer cares what anyone thinks. Reeves is a terrible Chancellor but she had to raise taxes to fund the Labour Party's socialist agenda. All Governments have reshuffles so there will be changes at some point. How many Chancellors did the Tories have? 6 in 5 years ! People won't forget what the Tories did in 14 years (906,000 !!) and i don't think Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke inspires much confidence. The 2029 election will be interesting.

Chinese Driver in High-Speed Collision Wreaks Havoc in Pattaya

Fleeing the scene of a (fatal) accident seems to be common practice here. That alone should be a serious offence with a custodial sentence. -

Who pays for the flight home? If it's the airline then it's a cheap way to get back home. Looks like the guy wouldn't have enough cash for a ticket. -
I tried to purchase something online with Amazon the other day using my Krungsri debit card. Nothing happened for a few days so i checked with a branch if i needed to "approve" something to get it to work. They told me that Amazon doesn't accept any payments from Thai debit cards !! What, the biggest ecommerce site in the world doesn't accept Thai cards. Is this correct or was i being fed a dummy excuse for the card not working?
