    So how does one get these exemptions or tax credits. Do you have to file a tax return and pay maybe a large amount of thai tax and then argue with the TRD for a refund ?

    Did the "experts" explain how you deal with the double taxation issue on the tax return form (which has no reference to it)? Thought not. So you fill in the form and have to pay Thai tax and then try to argue you have already paid UK tax.

    China's economy is in freefall so no surprise they can't afford foreign travel. Will get worse when the Chinese realise the flat they bought for 5 million yuan is worthless.

    He's right about the zebra crossings, they are REALLY dangerous. The Government should either remove them or enforce very strict penalties for misuse. I am even scared to approach them on a bike in case i get rear ended.

    The scam is that they try to panic you by saying the booking has been cancelled and you have to reinstate it quickly by paying direct to them (fake of course). The hotel knows nothing about it.

    I never use my actual card in Thailand but i had my UK credit card hacked twice last year. Luckily the bank stopped any payments so i didn't lose out but heaven knows how they get to charge items to my card. I did have problems with Booking.com though sending me messages saying that my bookings had been cancelled (they weren't) and that i had to quickly contact them via their (fake) address.

    I never buy clothes on line as it's impossible to tell what size it might be. If you must go 2 sizes above.

    If i send to my Krungsri bank it comes almost immediately but if i send to my Bangkok Bank it comes at 2.13pm the following day !!

    I have read the visa details on the web but just checking here in case the rules have changed. On a UK passport i don't need any visa to enter Vietnam for a short 1 week holiday.

    That's the problem with most of the new condos, 35 sqm if you are lucky some sub 30 sqm. And those so called bedrooms where you can barely walk around the bed, like coffins. Maybe OK for a short stay but i couldn't live in one long term. Virtually no storage space as well.

    I think the people would understand if the cuts were really needed to run the country but when they see Labour throwing away billions on net zero and migrants then it makes their decisions totally untenable. If they reversed the cuts then other measures would be needed so we have to pay anyway.

    Exactly. They must have known that Biden wasn't good for another 4 years (or even 4 minutes) but switching to Kamala at the last minute guaranteed they would lose.

    I agree, 350 million people and Kamala is seen as their best hope !! Still we can't really comment with the nut job Starmer as Prime Minister in the UK.
