    You are lucky to get 1 hour. Often it's when you come they go, maybe 30 minutes. Which is why i never bother now.

    I couldn't really read the forms, the writing is too small, but is there any line there which relates to the DTA exemption. If not it might appear to the Revenue that you do owe tax and you have to argue to get the DTA exemptions.

    My understanding is that my UK Government pension is exempt and my frozen State pension is so small it is below the allowances. For the moment therefore i won't be submitting a return.

    So anyone with a UK Government pension is exempt from Thai tax and doesn't need to make a tax return. Like you i have a very small frozen state pension, well below the allowances.

    Was he able to explain how the DTA works and is it shown somewhere on the tax return? If not most of us will get a tax bill and then have to argue that the DTA covers it.

    Yes i couldn't see one so if you filled in a return it would show that you do owe tax. How does the DTA work? One poster somewhere said he did a return and had to pay (a small) tax bill because the tax office knew nothing about DTAs.

    Even the arch appeaser Chamberlain knew Britain had to rearm quickly in the 1930s. Now we have a bunch of jokers in charge who think Putin will just go away.

    Who has elections during a war? Britain certainly didn't during WW2.

    The problem is now that the companionship lasts about 30 minutes. In the good old days you could get a lady to be with you all evening, all night and most of the next day.

    I am looking for a SH bike but it's odd that with so many bikes around there are very few places that sell SH bikes. The only one i know is AMA Trading on Soi Buakhao but they only have a dozen or so in stock, mostly PCXs and Xmaxs. Facebook Marketplace is the only alternative but then you take a big risk that it might be a con or the bike is miles away and can not easily be inspected, or picked up.

    The Russian army is pathetic. They have lost most of their tanks/guns against the weakest country in Europe. Even without increasing spending the EUSSR could easily withstand a Russian (non nuclear) attack. Current EUSSR defence spending is 500 billion compared to Russia's 100 billion. Our GDP is 20 trillion compared to their 2 trillion. Our population is 500 million compared to their 140 million. The only thing lacking in the EUSSR is guts.

    Easy money. I bet 50% of drivers after 12am are over the limit. You see them in the bars drinking all night then just jump into their cars (motorbikes) to drive home. Why i never drive (ride) at night sober.

    It would be useful if anyone can quote this exact provision in the DTA that we can show the tax office here, if necessary. The poster Chang50 claimed his tax office refused to accept the DTA.

    That is the major issue. For most expats the dta should delete any tax payable here. If they ignore it what do we do?

    One of the ones they stole. Probably has no brakes or maintenance.

    The roads are the worse now. No extra roads built yet thousands of new rooms in hotels/condos and many buses blocking what few roads there are. Just ONE new condo the Grand Solaire on Thappraya Road has 2000 rooms so that's potentially another 4000 people trying to get into Pattaya/Jomtien.
