During my 1st year living in Thailand a person who wanted to steal all of my belongings, tore the reentry slip from my passport, when I went to the US Embassy and behind the private curtain to the right, I was told to pack my bags and leave Thailand the next day. I then went to the Thai Embassy and was told by a high-ups officer to get a certain document from the US Embassy to fill out, and he even gave me a copy of such document. When I showed the copy of the document, I was accused of stealing it, and they said the document would do me no good, after pleading for several minutes, they gave me the document which I took back to the Thai office and he gave me a new re entry slip, which I presented to the US Officer causing him to loose face! Don't trust them, their not here to help you. 

Any savvy person can guess this one blind folded, either Pattaya or Patong, another Brit gets suckered. Nothing here, just move along!

I've always measured the high season here in Phuket by the amount of big, fancy tour buses on the road, and the amount is down drastically. The boat owner who through extreme greed when over loading the boat and all those people died, also killed a lot of tourism.

For at least 5 years now I have seen primarily in the northern sky here in Phuket a large yellowish light, at least 3 times larger than any star. Also has been seen in the southern sky. Does anyone know what this is? 

Possibly if you send by FedEx, DHL or others instead of postal service, you'll have better luck, also it's best to put tracking on the package.

Usually by now here in Phuket the roads are packed with tourist buses and vans and Central Mall is doing lots of business, instead it's like the middle of rainy season. My neighbor who has a tourist van is hurting big time, especially since his wife demanded he buy a 2 story unit in Kathu for 2.5 million baht. YIPES. At least she's working to.

I understand medical marijuana will be legal in Thailand soon, and it will be available in pharmacies. How can we know whether it's the real thing or actually synthetic medical marijuana made in conventional medicine drug labs? I also understand that Monsanto is getting into synthetic marijuana big time.

Once the word gets out concerning all the positive benefits of CBD (cannaboids, medical marijuana) the sale of conventional medicine pain pills will mostly drop to zero! Pharmacies better see the writing on the wall and start switching over to CBD as fast as possible! This will hurt the drug companies big time, unless they get in on the action.

My friend has a book on Thai working regulations also translated into English, and it clearly states that NO FARANG is allowed to do any job a Thai can do. He used this book to stick this regulation in the face of a Kajonkiet Suksa Bilingual school owner in Phuket who was making the Farang school teachers serve lunch to the students, and the very next day the practice was stopped! 

So this possible retired Farang washing cars is a total NO-NO, and even if he has a work permit, it's still a big NO-NO.
