  1. @fredwiggy That has nothing to do with what you wrote originally and is in fact just a flight of fancy. You wrote: So address that if your intention is to have a discussion and a sharing of experiences, rather than to ramble on, talking at people, with some fabricated opinion piece. Why is it that you are unable to write of your own personal experiences? My actual experience trumps your flight of fancy that is based on nothing but you imagining that your construct is somehow reality. Write of your actual experience, rather than something that you have read and simply put together in your mind. Stop trying to tell us what other people have experienced and tell us what you have experienced.....or not as the case may be. Thai woman loved and loves me firstly for the way I am. I haven't given her any money other than the 2,000 baht mentioned earlier....and that was a looooong time ago. That's reality, rather than a construct existing solely in your mind. The fact that other people settle for less, is to do with their own weakness and nothing to do with your false statement of: That is in your experience. Talk about yourself. Is that too difficult for you?
  2. @simon43 You did write 50+ 70's depends on his physical condition. If he's 70, but looks and acts younger(in a good way) and has high standards, there are good women out there for him. 40's 50's why not? If he's decrepit and looking for a 30 year old woman, then he may get what he deserves.
  3. There is some terrific nonsense being written here. TBH, I'm not sure the OP is 'real' either. All this describing women in absolutes, even a scientist came out with this; Shocking nonsense. That is a seriously jaded person. I've met a few bargirls over the years(not in bars) and none of them asked me for money nor expected any. Though on at least one occasion, I may have helped out with rent of 2,000 baht. I know if they ask, they really need it. Perhaps the real issue is the low standard of the males involved. If someone wants to be with me, they need to come up to my standards..... or git! Bar girl in this case, took up a normal job in order to prove herself to me. Still with no financial support from me. So many are so desperate, that they lower themselves to accepting garbage or they are just garbage themselves and get what they deserve. Of course there is every combination in between. Up to you. Find a women who is right for you or just settle for whatever you can get. Ex bar girl doesn't equate to bad or greedy person. If you have high standards, it's easy to separate the wheat from the chaff.
  4. At @Gecko123 My Quote button is not working. You have obviously assumed, incorrectly, that I was referring to your post. I wasn't referring to those events in particular, but gift giving in general. I can only refer to my experiences. So lets move to 2. Gift giving was initiated by the female. There was no ''largesse' on my part. Nor gifts in return. Related or unrelated to that is the exchange of gifts and kindnesses between friends and acquaintances alike. Perhaps it depends on the kinds of relationships that you nurture. Pay no attention to the comments made in the discussion with the aforementioned poster. Don't take them to heart. They weren't for your ears. Perhaps characterised as a rude person getting a taste of his own medicine.
  5. Funny you should say that. Just yesterday a Russian friend sent me a video message with her new hairstyle with a double ponytail.
  6. @fredwiggy You might consider that if I didn't deserve them, I wouldn't have been given them in the first place. I'm sorry, but don't remember asking for your advice. I certainly wouldn't ask a male self styled 'Agony Aunt' with failed marriages and some bought and paid for relationships behind him, stuck in Thailand with a young kid at 78 years old, for advice. But thanks anyway. The OP asked for our experiences, so perhaps you should limit your posts to your experiences. What happened to "You be you, she'll be her" Perhaps some of us aren't that interested in material things. But I guess you didn't read that in your books.
  7. I went into an AIS service centre a couple of weeks ago to grab a 50 baht SIM. No have. Went to another who told me that they only sell SIM if you buy a 300+ baht package with it. I grabbed a couple of 50 baht SIM online and went back to the same service centre to register them. The new scam I guess. Much like at the airports, to try to get you to spend at least 300 baht, even if you just need a SIM with no add ons.
  8. Some 'interesting' observations here. My Thai friends gave me gifts. Many. It's absolutely incorrect to suggest that Thai people do not give gifts. It's not, as suggested a 'cultural thing' for Thai people to not give gifts. That is ridiculous. But on the other hand, I very rarely open my gifts. So a variation on the OP's issue. I have gifts more than ten years old that I haven't opened. My reasoning is that I have enough at the moment...
  9. @Chivas It's for British Airways. Stop arguing senselessly when the evidence is before your eyes. Your screenshot is not from the Norse Atlantic Airways website. I don't know why you would try to mislead that it did. if you go to https://flynorse.com/en-GB/book/flights you will find their flight leaves at 1600 hrs from LGW and 1230 hrs from BKK. I found flights from the 26th of October. Cheaper O/W flights in November and December. From £331. Other way, from £298.
  10. 11. @Bkk Brian I already explained why I think it was meant to be deliberately offensive. There was no need to put Zionist in his post at all. He did it to offend and as per the article, he has form for doing so,
  12. What proof do you have that the vast majority supported it? I don't always comment on the ridiculous statements made on this forum. Does that mean that I agree with them? Let's hope that you don't work in an office, as this is what he thinks of office workers. Again: From Severn Water: “The allegations in the Telegraph are not the whole story nor is this an isolated incident. This relates to the conduct of an individual who posted highly charged content on a range of topics from gender to sexuality to race in an online work platform – having previously been warned this was not the appropriate forum to do so".
  13. @Bkk Brian It's offensive in much the same way as using company property to suggest that everyone in Severn Water supported Putin's invasion.
  14. Now for the parts that were left out. Damon Joshua was dismissed by Severn Trent Water after he described Hamas as “a group of violent and disgusting terrorists” in a post on the company’s staff intranet website on the anniversary of the attack. The post was taken down by managers at the company following internal complaints that “the terminology being used includes very derogatory words” and “is very one-sided”. According to documents seen by The Telegraph, one complainant said: “The post reflects poorly on Severn Trent’s reputation as a diverse and inclusive company.” What he wrote was "“I can say with confidence today that the vast majority of STW’s employees stand in solidarity with our Jewish, Israeli and Zionist colleagues against the evil of Islamist terror.”" Zionist colleagues 😊 That's offensive and meant to be so. But no mention of that here at all. Only the emphasis on different words that likely had little or no basis in his removal. “They didn’t really give an opinion on what I’d wrote. They just said that it was seen as offensive.” Mr Joshua says he made the post following messages to managers asking if they would do anything to commemorate the anniversary of the attacks, to which he says he received no reply. At his disciplinary hearing he was told that the post had caused “significant offence” to three members of staff who complained about it. They also raised concerns that “the wording in the post explicitly suggests support of a particular geopolitical stance”. They told Mr Joshua his claim that the majority of STW staff supported Israel “creates exclusion and assumptions of solidarity”. In other words he made unsubstantiated claims using the companies property. If he posted it on social media, he might have gotten away with it. But posting it on company property.....he's an idiot and now he knows it. But here is another salient fact that is being left out of this propaganda. From Severn Water: “The allegations in the Telegraph are not the whole story nor is this an isolated incident. This relates to the conduct of an individual who posted highly charged content on a range of topics from gender to sexuality to race in an online work platform – having previously been warned this was not the appropriate forum to do so". https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/03/23/i-condemned-the-oct-7-massacre-cost-me-job-severn-water/
  15. @MalcolmB That's not true is it? If you bothered to watch the video, you'll see a foreigner fast approaching, just before it cuts off.
  16. Not much in the way of useful posts here. If you aren't on my 💩 list, ask nicely and I'll send you the ONLY link that you need.
  17. Just copy and paste the Magnet links in. Right click on the horseshoe magnet, choose Copy and then Paste that into qBittorrent. Right-click>Copy (on a magnet link). Click qBittorrent's Add Torrent Link Icon. Then right-click>Paste (it into the dialog box). Click Download.
  18. @johng ass-u-me-ed or ass-u-me-d? 2 and 2 is 22. Perhaps you meant 2 + 2. Better to just write clearly and concisely. No games necessary.
  19. No, @johng The issue is that you gave him the address of pb.org instead of https://thepiratebay.org/index.html in the first instance. That took him to a completely unrelated website. They don't need https://transmissionbt.com/
  20. Are you a leftist if you support the actions of Benjamin Netanyahu? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trial_of_Benjamin_Netanyahu https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/netanyahu-corruption-trial-divides-israeli-public-2024-12-09/ Or are some criminals exempt?
  21. Whereas the foreigners see it the other way around. The Asian woman often looks in decent shape and probably fairly okay looking, but she is walking with some ogre.
  22. What is available locally, is often the dregs.
  23. Please stop....the point is 500 baht. If a foreigner is unable to afford the surcharge for a hospital in a particular location, he now knows to go to another that does not charge that fee. 500 baht doesn't make it unaffordable to most expats and tourists and it's you, not the other foreigner posting it here and claiming that it is not affordable.
