They just said that it was seen as offensive.” Mr Joshua says he made the post following messages to managers asking if they would do anything to commemorate the anniversary of the attacks, to which he says he received no reply. At his disciplinary hearing he was told that the post had caused “significant offence” to three members of staff who complained about it. They also raised concerns that “the wording in the post explicitly suggests support of a particular geopolitical stance”. They told Mr Joshua his claim that the majority of STW staff supported Israel “creates exclusion and assumptions of solidarity”. In other words he made unsubstantiated claims using the companies property. If he posted it on social media, he might have gotten away with it. But posting it on company property.....he's an idiot and now he knows it. But here is another salient fact that is being left out of this propaganda. From Severn Water: “The allegations in the Telegraph are not the whole story nor is this an isolated incident. If a foreigner is unable to afford the surcharge for a hospital in a particular location, he now knows to go to another that does not charge that fee. 500 baht doesn't make it unaffordable to most expats and tourists and it's you, not the other foreigner posting it here and claiming that it is not affordable.

Pattaya City Hospital is not the only choice in town. You aren't forced to go there. But if it's the closest to where you live, then you can choose to pay 500 baht for the convenience or simply go further afield. Not everyone lives on Soi Bua Khao. It's not a Thailand thing. It's you. @BritManToo pays 50 baht. I don't remember paying any premium when I chose to visit a government hospital and I rarely go anywhere early in the morning. So the oft spoken untruth about having to go early in the morning and to wait all day, has not ever applied to any of my visits. Good service and not expensive. Some people are prone to making problems for themselves.
