  1. Word coming out of Davos is that Trump was just comic relief. Mostly meaningless after he taco'd on Greenland. He's just a joke. 98% of the talk was on AI. AI is a lot scarier. Trump will be dead soon, so the joke dies with him. The major AI company CEOs have stated that they think AI has a 25% chance of eradicating humans, yet they still rush ahead to be first with AGI.
  2. Was that Oliver Kornetzke or Melania? Astonishingly accurate.
  3. Since you stated you like humor, isn't it funny that many banks do business with heinous dictators, drug lords, La Camorra, terrorists, Russian Bratva members....as well as blue chip companies and everyone from fund managers to venture capitalists....but they refuse to do business with Trump. They have to draw the line somewhere. Even Swiss Banks wouldn't stoop that low.
  4. Here's Trumpian "logic", mixed with lies, from his bizarre Fidel Castro-length derailed train of thoughts at Davos: He again demonstrated his 820 SAT score by talking of having lowered drug prices by 700, 800%. Later in the speech he claimed 2000%. He also made up a story about telling Macron what to do so that the US gets what Trump calls "most favored nation" and thus the lowest drug prices in the world. Now consider....two ways the US could have the lowest drug prices. One is to actually lower drug prices, which has not happened, even though Trump claimed it has. The second is for everyone else in the world to RAISE their drug prices. Trump claims he told Macron to "raise the price of that pill from $10 to $20 or $30...maybe even $40 dollars. Not sure what pill it was, and not quite sure if Trump means the real Emanuel Macron or the "guy in Paris, my friend Bill", from 2016 campaign hallucinations/lies. Now this may not be true, but I heard that with his latest financial wizardry on how to get the lowest drug prices (by others raising theirs), Stockholm put Trump on the short list for the Economics Nobel. I mean, is the guy a stable genius or what! Then again, Trump could be on the short list for the Golden Globes "Best Comedy Performance by a Demented Fool".
  5. I suppose it's understandable you wouldn't know the term TACO. The genesis of the term is from Wall Street hedge fund managers who always knew Trump is an idiot, and when he says or does something stupid that rattles the markets, he always backs down, or to fit TACO, "chickens out". The folks who coined the entirely appropriate term are not necessarily "lefties", they're just rational and know how to read a fool.
  6. Trump bored of failure? Could have fooled me. He seems to relish failure with great gusto....his casinos, his airline, his "university", his "charity", his steak, his water, his football team, the 2020 election.... Oh wait! I read that wrong. Never mind.
  7. In Saudi Arabia, Christianity is a crime punishable by public beheading. Do you think your boy Trump is going to attack Saudi in defense of Two Corinthians?
  8. The crybaby pulled PM Carney's invite to be, or join the, bored/board, because Carney's speech got praise and Trump's got laughter and scorn. This is just another Trump sandcastle, and a tsunami is coming in.
  9. We know how Trump loves both people who worship him as well as those who can benefit him financially, so I would not be surprised if Trump pardons him. Trump pardoned people who beat 140 cops and searched for Trump's own Vice President to hang him. Law and Order POTUS? Laughable. Trump doesn't care about actual cops, only cops who act like stormtroopers. Then there's the guy who helped run 400 tonnes of cocaine into the US, pardoned because the former Honduran President's family is wealthy and lives in Miami....while guys on tiny boats that couldn't even carry enough to feed Junior's sniffles, much less make it to Miami, get double tapped. Oh, and the guy who laundered crypto for Hamas....he gets a pardon because Binance does business with World Liberty Financial, owned by Trump's family. Is Ghislaine Maxwell still in jail, or playing golf at her cushy "prison"? Why do pedos get special treatment under Trump's DoJ? Too bad Trump prefers McDonalds and KFC over Subway, because "Jared" would probably have been pardoned.
  10. BTW, when is Trump going to invade New Zealand? Trump claimed he was going to go to Nigeria because Christians were being attacked. In New Zealand, it was Moslems slaughtered by a white guy. Is interfaith slaughter acceptable if the dead are not Christian? Oh, and how about going after Wisconsin, where a white guy slaughtered Sikhs in a temple. Of course that perp was a MAGA who was too stupid to know the difference between Sikhs and Moslems, as he thought his victims were Moslem. I guess in Trumpistan, it's the thought that counts, and we all know Trump hates Moslems. You also might want to learn about tribal issues in Africa and get an accurate score on who is killing whom.
  11. All of what you mention, coupled with another poster's comment on ICE commander Bovino's attire, reminds me of the saying: History may not repeat, but it sure does rhyme. I'm also reminded that Trump's first wife Ivana noted that the only book Donald kept on the bedside table was a book containing the speeches of Adolf Hitler.
  12. You seem to be missing the big picture and instead get boggled down in the weeds. The key point---which obviously escapes you---is that Trump invited an antisemite and the prime social media Holocaust denier to dine with him at Mar-a-Lago. I hope you do not try to argue "Trump didn't know", because as---at that time---a former President, Trump did have a full staff of people who not only handle his scheduling but also give him advice or caution, should any situation merit it. Trump absolutely knew with whom he was sharing dinner, yet chose to do so.
  13. What a tremendous public service you provide educating the readership on what all Moslems think, as well as detailing what constitutes a good Moslem. Can you do the same with Christians and Jews? I think everyone would benefit from your knowledge. For example, those who follow the Bible, and believe it is the infallible word of God, are advised in Leviticus and Deuteronomy that they must stone adulterers to death. Does this mean those who are not trying to break into the White House or Mar-a-Lago to stone that resident serial adulterer are not proper Christians and Jews?
  14. There are no coincidences. If it walks like a stormtrooper.......
  15. If you actually understood Africa, you might have a different take. Just as many "Christians" are killing "Moslems" in Africa, because at its heart, it's not religious; it's tribal. Ancient rivalries that predate both Jesus and Mohammed. Various faiths were simply spread on top of ancient beliefs, like butter on bread, but the core is one tribe vs another. Different tribes just got proselytized by different "missionaries". Perhaps you might better understand by considering the beliefs of the predominant faith where you live. The faith's founder didn't prescribe magic amulets or back tattoos or did he give great thought to phases of the moon. Locals just took his teachings and spread it on top of their underlying paganistic beliefs, which endure. The leader of Nigeria tried to educate Trump in this regard re Nigeria's Christians and Moslems, though I'm sure "Nobody knows more about Christianity and oppression of Christians" than Trump.
  16. The US enjoyed a wonderful position in the wake of WWII and large countries trying to deal with massive populations. It had to end at some point in a multipolar world. Trump has significantly exacerbated what would have been a natural decline into shared preeminence, and may well have made it difficult for the US to even maintain that. The US still has a massive economy, and is unlikely to become the next Spain or Portugal, who had their moment at the top, but increasingly it looks as if the US will fall to the level of say, the UK. Not totally irrelevant, but living on an increasingly distant past. I did not want China, with its system, to reach the top of the heap, but it seems Trump is making that inevitable. Trump has alienated all of the US' former allies and made the US a distrusted partner, if even indeed a partner at all. What remains of actual US power is largely economic. Yes, its military can eradicate all life on Earth, but that hardly would constitute a win. Economic power has become flexible. If countries like Canada play their cards right, they could attract major US entities in industries that will drive the future. Having a stable and predictable central power is a huge plus, and the US lacks that under Trump. He is too capricious, unpredictable and frankly, insane. Some combination of tax incentives, trade deals and stability and predictability in government could well entice companies to abandon the US and move to more welcoming nations. Canada also has a major plus as a resource rich nation, which broadens the range of companies who could be enticed. Nations are increasingly just an address. Canada could even entice the entire US western corridor, from San Diego to Seattle, to become the 11th province and secede from the US. Trump would be powerless to stop that. History is going to judge Trump as the last emperor, a Romulus Augustulus or something similar, though more than Augustulus, Trump will have hastened the decline of the once major player on the world scene. He is the Ostrogoth who sacked DC. He is the epitome of an "own goal".
  17. That is not for you to say. It's what others think that determines how the world sees a person. Those who think Trump is anything other than a self-serving clown make people wonder what's under the hood.
  18. They need to await the official spin, which is to say whatever lies the White House feeds to Fox or OAN or Newsmax. Trump got hosed. He saw the world was standing up to him and that the stock market was going to tank, so he gave up. AF1 having to first turn back, when he was first on his way to Davos, is a perfect metaphor for Trump chickening out. He got nothing. He comes back empty handed, albeit with lies and claims of a "framework". Denmark isn't going to give him Greenland. The US was already obligated, as a NATO member, to help keep fellow NATO member lands secure. Absolutely nothing changed, except Trump looks like the clown and idiot he is, and everyone from Europe to Beijing knows that if you just stand up to him or toss him off as the clown he is, then he will cave. The world also knows he is in steep cognitive decline, as in the last week he's mixed up Denmark and Norway, and in Davos, Greenland and Iceland. Trump said the market tanked because of Iceland. WTF? Trump's silly antics made the US a lot weaker. He lost allies the US might never get back. He went over there, as a person elected by a plurality of American voters, and showed the Europeans and the entire world just how idiotic way too many Americans are. If any Republicans in Congress had any cojones, and weren't just sniveling cowards afraid of a mean Tweet or being primaried, they would see how Europe stood up to Trump and do the same.
  19. LOL! Certainly you don't know how Trump works, because he doesn't. He's just a child, a clown and batsh!t crazy. He caved. That's the fact. He tried playing the tough guy, Europe and more importantly, the stock market, called him out. His buddies undoubtedly called him and complained about their portfolios, so Trump took the military and tariffs off the table and lied about "framework of a deal" or whatever nonsense he spewed. Denmark is not going to give up Greenland. The US, as part of NATO, was already obligated to address any outside threat to a NATO member's territory. NOTHING has changed. Well, that isn't quite true. Those in the world who did not already know, now know 2 things: 1) Trump is an idiot and a threat to world stability, both military and financial 2) The way you deal with a fake bully is to simply stand up to him and call him out, as Europe and Canada did. China knows, too, and will dictate terms to Trump going forward, but will pretend he wins, because everybody knows about his woeful insecurity and fragile ego. He's a lame duck who, because of his silly threats, just became lamer. Many people are saying he's the lamest duck ever. Nobody knows more about being a lame duck than Trump. Davos will go down as Trump in his duck suit. Lame duck suit.
  20. Greenland...Iceland....Ice-T....P Diddy.....PP tape....Steele Dossier files....Epstein Files Six degrees of separation.
  21. Goodness, MAGAs are so fascist, especially when it's others doing the wetwork. No wonder they worship the bone spurs coward.
  22. Europeans know that Trump once said, during a live interview on CNBC in 2016, that he would consider default on foreign-owned USTs. Could anyone do something so stupid, to which Trump would say, "Hold my cheeseburger".
  23. Radical extremists? No, just common sense. Europe has to address the reality of dealing with a demented raving lunatic. It's time they accept the fact the US is a force for evil in the world, run by a rabid dog, and cannot be relied upon in any way. The days of friendship and mutual cooperation are over. Europe, which among other foreigners own up to 40% of the US' sovereign debt of $39 trillion (about $11 trillion of that under Trump 1.0 and 2.0). can wean itself off slowly. They can reduce purchases at every Treasury auction, and sell off their existing holdings before Trump does yet another idiotic move and defaults, as he once said he might do during a CNBC interview in 2016. As stupid as default would be, the entire world now knows Trump is that stupid. Selling ANYTHING in their holdings is better than losing EVERYTHING in a Trumpian default. The winner in Davos was Xi. He acted like a moderate and like an adult. He didn't mention windmills once in his speech, nor did he spend an hour praising himself and spewing endless lies, as Trump did. I'm going to guess Xi also knows the difference between Greenland and Iceland, as well as between Denmark and Norway. Clearly Trump does not. China is going to end up with dozens of unilateral trade and investment deals, and perhaps even multilateral deals, while the US is going to lose trade partners just as it no longer has any allies in the world. There is now a great opportunity for building a basket of currencies as a reserve currency, finally letting the dollar go. The move will happen slowly and be done at a measured pace, but the world now knows the US is a rogue nation and quite possibly on its way to being a failed state. I suspect in the next few months there will be not only State trade deals with foreign nations (such as California and Canada or California and China), but also talk of secession from the US. If Trump can go outside the law and impose tariffs, then States can ignore Trump and do private trade agreements ignoring the silly TACO tariffs.
  24. Icelanders----WHOOPS---GREENLANDERS need to do some medium term thinking. If they play their cards right, they can get Trump to put together a Coalition of the Willingly Foolish to pony up a few hundred billion dollars to "buy" Greenland. Denmark could extinguish its national debt plus hand every Greenlander $10-20 million. Then, when President Newsom takes over in January 2029, he can give Greenland back to Denmark. Ka-ching!
  25. MAGAs hate genuine law enforcement. They prefer brown shirts, stormtroopers and Gestapo types. Makes them feel they're not impotent little boys, as they live vicariously through stormtroopers beating defenseless people. MAGA equates to coward, like the bone spurs guy himself, who runs to the WH bunker when a Code Pink demo takes place on PA Ave. They ignore the terrorists who stormed the Capitol, beat cops, shat on the floor, and searched for the Vice President to hang him. Hypocrisy and fascism are in their genes.
