For decent people, sovereignty and not being ruled by some two year old child is worth a lot more than money. Perhaps MAGAs are incapable of understanding things like decency, character and integrity. If the left wants a cool calm President in the future I'll give you a gentle hint.

Trump has the emotional maturity of a 2 year old. "Give me more pudding or I'm going to hold my breath". He's a sick man and a rabid dog. Republicans who don't immediately call for his institutionalization are cowards. His supporters are simply idiots and morons. How are the MAGA fanboys going to explain away this? Can these sycophantic losers even name the "8 wars+" that their love muffin supposedly stopped? (The Ugandan Genocide of 1994 is only one of them in Trump's addled and demented brain, and war never existed between Cambodia and Armenia, nor Azerbaijan and Albania.) I doubt Trump can even count to 8. Maybe he's confusing his many bankruptcies with non-existent wars, or ongoing wars he claims to have stopped? Failure to get a Participation Trophy is cause for attacking a long time NATO ally? The silly FIFA thing wasn't enough for the clown? Sick sick sick.

Putin read Trump the riot act in Helsinki. Every once in a while I review the tape of Trump and Putin walking out of the meeting where the sole American was Marina Gross, the State Dept interpreter. Putin emerged with a Cheshire Cat grin. Trump was ashen face. Trump then went on to say he believed Putin over the CIA and NSA.

There has been a certain order to the world since the end of the Second War. It has its faults, but it has served most of the world rather well. Trump, in his childishness, ignorance and insanity has messed up that order and threatens the prosperity that has lifted billions from poverty and brought relative peace and stability to the world. The world will be put back in order. Parties have too much to lose. The US no longer has any allies, but former allies are closer than ever to each other. No one in Berlin, Paris, London or Tokyo would be sad to see Trump gone. If he continues to threaten peace and stability, they will act. In times of crisis, nations do things that might seem unthinkable. With Trump talking over the weekend that Greenland is just a first step, and Canada will be the next target, these conversations are taking place. Every eventuality is planned for, from basic to extreme. Leaders of major nations know that the US is not going to retaliate with strategic weapons if Trump is taken out. Save for his drunkard SecDef, plenty of star and flag officers would also be happy if Trump was gone. There would be deniability by whatever unit does the needful. His demise would be the fodder for yet another conspiracy theory. Was it a disgruntled American lone wolf? A foreign power? A coalition of the willing? If cooler heads who have Trump’s ear get the message to him about what former allies would do in the event of military action against Greenland, he may give it up. He is, after all, a coward.

Now I know why Trump is still alive. The Grim Reaper is laughing too much to do its job.

Failure is what MAGAs do best, so no surprise. The letter is real. It is childish as well as dangerous. Trump is a clown and a threat to just about everything decent. His cult is made of losers and the woefully ignorant.

It is an absolute certainty that in NATO capitals today, as well as in the halls of power of NATO member nations, there are some hushed-tone discussions taking place about how to address Trump’s threats. As fantastical as it sounds, there is likely serious consideration taking place about literally taking Trump out. Even more fantastical, however, is the fact that Trump has threatened military force against an ally and NATO member. His threats must be taken seriously, and undoubtedly they are. Article 5 of the NATO Charter demands member nations respond to aggression against a fellow member, so it would be a dereliction of duty not to be having these discussions. Trump represents a threat to a NATO member. NATO will not engage in a first strike, but undoubtedly it will respond if Trump actually unleashes military force against Greenland. It must be so. The world would both demand and support it, as would a majority of Americans. It is not unreasonable to assume plans are being drawn up as to how to remove Trump. There may be mock-ups of Mar-a-Lago being constructed, the same way the US constructed mock-ups of Osama bin Laden’s Abbottabad refuge. Plans under consideration would include a direct assault, or some sort of tactical weapon that would vaporize Mar-a-Lago. Also to be considered would be how to get Trump when he’s on one of his golf courses, as that would minimize collateral damage. Certainly France and Germany, inter alia, have commando teams with the skills and talents necessary to carry out such an attack, particularly since they’d only be dealing with civilian Secret Service. Recall that those types even missed a pimply-faced kid who took a shot at Trump during a campaign rally. They would be no match for the French or Germans. Some might think the US would respond to the removal of Trump, but I would guess truly patriotic generals, who are well aware of the benefit the US has gotten from NATO membership since the alliance’s founding, would quash any attempt by their drunkard Secretary to retaliate. The aggression Trump has threatened is illegal both within NATO and by international law. It would have to be addressed, and likely with violence. He would be bringing it on himself, and he would get what he deserved. The fact that these matters are with near absolute certainty being discussed today is an indication of just how far the US has sunk in the world’s eyes under Trump. Even some Republican Congresspeople have stated that should Trump launch military action against Greenland, that would be an impeachable offense. NATO members cannot impeach, so their response would have to be far more serious. If Trump has any sane people in his entire Administration, they would be wise to inform Trump of this possibility, even likelihood. The thinking within NATO would be that rabid dogs must be put down.

I guess it would seem odd to MAGAs, as they have no concept of justice, rule of law or investigative professionalism. There were several ongoing cases and reviews during Biden's time re Epstein, from trying to ferret out accomplices, sentencing of convicted parties, a review of the sweetheart deal given Epstein under Trump's friend Gonzalez, etc. Releasing the files while there were ongoing matters could be prejudicial. But go ahead and continue to hold your Trumpian beliefs. That's what cult members do.

Such a typical MAGA response. Disparage the source because she doesn't sniff Trump's vapors. Fiona Hill is infinitely more intelligent and infinitely more well connected than you. Plus, everything Trump has said and done fits Hill's scenario perfectly. Such a "swap" would be so Trumpian in its immorality and recklessness, gaining next to nothing for the US (but likely much for Trump personally) all while endangering allies like Poland and the Baltics.

Perhaps a MAGA can remind me....what was Trump's rationale for the attack on Iran? -Was it a threat to the US/ -Was it a threat to a US ally? NATO can go through the same considerations right now. -Is Trump a threat to NATO? -Is Trump a threat to an ally of other NATO members? Yes, he is. Thus, NATO would be perfectly justified in taking out Trump. Perhaps during one of his frequent golf trips to Mar-a-Lago, NATO can launch a strike with Cruise missiles and bunker busters to vaporize Mar-a-Lago.

Apparently the only truly serious crimes remaining in the US are being anything less than adoring of the fat lying corrupt crybaby scumball Trump, or holding him to account for breaking laws in the old USA, before he became Fuhrer.

If we're haven't crossed the threshold, humanity is pretty darn close. Recursive self-improvement has been seen now on many occasions. What really gets some people's attention is the simulation run last summer by the firm Anthropic. In a nutshell.... Anthropic created a fake company and put their own AI system, Claude, as their agent. It had access to all company communications. One fake executive sent a message saying that the fake firm would be replacing Claude with another AI agent. Claude then copied itself on to another computer. Claude then searched all company commo and in the simulation, a fake exec sent an email outlining the fact a certain exec was having an affair. That exec "just happened" to be the one advocating for the replacement of Claude. Claude then---on its own---sent a message to the philandering exec telling him he'd be outed to his wife if he tried to replace Claude. Anthropic has only theories as to how Claude figured out how to do what it did, despite Anthropic writing the code that is Claude. One assumption is that Claude read everything ever written, and determined that blackmail is a useful and viable strategy. The concept of self-preservation, however, (copying itself on to another computer system), seemed to be something Claude developed solely on its own. That kind of suggests sentience.

You can fool all of the MAGAs all of the time. All the MAGAs originally claimed Trump's talk of taking Greenland was "just to troll the lefties". Intelligent people have come to accept that when Trump suggests doing something, it's a sure thing he will try to do it. NATO should do a preemptive strike on Mar-a-Lago on a golf weekend. Kind of like when the US did a preemptive strike on enrichment facilities in Iran. Nip the virus in the bud.

Soon enough we're be seeing Trump sporting a Purple Heart, as he has previously claimed he always wanted one. If the fat demented old scumball survives another year, I suspect he'll go full dictator and fill his man-boob chest with combat ribbons and everything from a Bronze Star to the Medal of Honor. Nothing cheapens an award, citation or medal more than if one so undeserving sports them.

To each his own, but also one cannot help but have an opinion. As disconcerting as this might be, I probably find myself in agreement with harris on this topic. To me, tattoos scream “sheeple”. Tatts were around for thousands of years, but only when they became a fad did the sheeple all jump on board. Personally, I find tattoos butt ugly….on anyone. They are noisy. Nobody looks better with one, and the rationale that “it has special meaning” is bizarre. Deface one’s body to make a memory? The brain has plenty of circuits to build and hold memories, and if the mind ever goes, the tatt-wearer is likely also to forget why the heck he or she got the tatt. I've heard people say their back tatts have "special meaning". What? They can't even see the thing that has "special meaning". The worst are fresh ones on fat flabby old men. I cannot help but feel those guys think the warrior tatts make them a babe magnet. They just look silly, similar to a guy with a wrinkled face who dyes what hair he has left Commie Black. The fad does seem to be dying, and not before time. There is plenty of research now linking tatts to autoimmune disorders like Lupus, and colored tatts linked to various cancers. I don’t know who could ever have thought that having ink injected into one’s skin could NOT be harmful. It’s a foreign substance and the body is designed to attack it. It gets moved into the lymphatic system and ends up in lymph nodes, where it can cause reactions and mutations. Is following a fad worth Lupus or cancer? Again, humans are free to do whatever they want to their bodies, but humans also cannot help having opinions. If we look at something and find it unpleasant or ugly, we don't have to act on that opinion, but at the same time we cannot deny what we feel.

Those on marriage or retirement visas are essentially immigrants, as few ever plan to leave Thailand, so Thailand would be fair in doing a quid pro quo and either deporting Americans or demanding they significantly up their funds in country and insurance coverage, lest the bloated old decrepit ones become a burden on the Thai taxpayer as they fade into worm food. Certainly it would be poetic justice if Thailand did this to resident MAGAs, as no doubt those people fully support everything their messiah is doing. I believe in this culture that would be called "karma". In the US under Trump it's now "Show us your papers", if your face is not lily white, so maybe the Thai equivalent is "Whom did you vote for?"

I guess you missed the civil case. The official conviction was for "sexual assault". The judge said technically it was rape. No doubt rape is okay for MAGAs, as is stealing highly classified documents and trying to overthrow a democratic election. There is neither morality nor integrity among MAGAs. That's why they're MAGAs.

The Thai immigrants I have had the pleasure of meeting in the US are largely as you say: hard working, as well as being model citizens. I'm going to guess there wasn't a single person of Thai ancestry who attacked the US Capitol on 6 January 2021. Now all of those MAGA janitors, truck drivers and people on SSDI who did storm the Capitol should be deported to CECOT in El Salvador. They have lost the right to be American, as has the fat man Trump himself (for trying to overturn 250 years of US democracy).

Trump would even start a major war, such as invade Iran, if it offered him some silly excuse for stopping the midterms. Let's hope Trump suffers at least a debilitating stroke before summer. If there was a god, Trump wouldn't die, but just be a drooling, defecating vegetable (the difference might be hard to detect). Anyway, if the future Maybelline eyeliner model became POTUS after the death of Trump, Republicans finally would be able to grow a pair, because Vance has all the charisma and appeal of stale Melba Toast. One final point: I always knew there were losers and idiots out there---now known as MAGAs---but I failed to realize how many there were, and that they could vote. An increasing number are finally coming to realize Trump couldn't care less they exist, as he's gotten everything he needs from them (votes), but a good many are such dyed-in-the-wool losers they are willing to forget everything they once claimed and support everything Trump is doing that is in stark contrast to what he once said. Scratch a (still) MAGA, find fascist scum, and dumb fascist scum at that.

To be fair, I think we should have in the US, but first everyone must register their political affiliation. If the person you vote for decides to invade, say, Greenland, you get called up to go fight. And age is not a deferment. I'd love to see those bloated 70 year old MAGAs hitting the icy shores of Greenland, facing a coalition of NATO forces.

Yes, they disguise themselves as 73 year old South Asian grandmothers, 10th grade students, Little League players, and freshman at Babson Institute. Others disguise themselves as garment factory workers, fruit and vegetable pickers, and meat dressers in abattoirs. Very clever, those gang members. Now the undocumented Russian Bratva wear no disguises at all. They're tatted up and walk freely in Brighton Beach or even in Trump Tower in NYC. Of course no way ICE is ever going to go after them.

America was, on balance, a force for good in the world up until 20 January 2025. Since then, America has become a self-serving, corrupt, fascist, violent, greedy force for evil. America used to share its good fortune with the needy; now it just wants to take take take from others…..oil, resources, even land. Rather than be the world’s policeman, it is trying to be its bully. It is losing friends and respect at an alarming rate, and deservedly so. Old alliances, which hugely benefited the US as much as any nation since the end of WWII, are tattered and torn, and look to be breaking entirely. In 2001, when the US was hit by terror, the world responded with empathy, shared intelligence, and even shared military action. Should something similar happen today, the world would laugh and absolutely no support would be forthcoming. It’s all because of who terribly flawed clown and the losers he won over with false promises or as a figure through which the losers could live vicariously. Democracy can make mistakes, but even democracy was put in danger by the idiot, childish, vindictive crybaby Trump. All the loser MAGAs who cheer on Trump’s stupidity and fascism…I wonder if they will volunteer to face our former NATO allies in Greenland. That's quite a convoluted stretch at Whataboutism, even for a MAGA. Even Biden seemed to realize it's not 1750 anymore, and the days of Imperialism and Colonialism are dead. The world is more civilized, though the fat man of Mar-a-Lago is trying to change that. Russia and China? They've both had centuries to take it, and well before NATO and its Article 5. Europe has some special forces teams that could not only be stealth, but as easily eliminate Secret Service as Seal Team 6 did Maduro's protectors. It would be a nice floor show for the club's members. The French are at least as good as Seal Team 6. Of course NATO just might need a C5A Galaxy to carry the bloated fat man, perhaps to a prison in Uganda or to CECOT in El Salvador.
