Well, water under the bridge...the US invaded and spent two decades and $3 trillion in a failed effort to impose values on a country where our system is both alien and unworkable. Iraq was even a worse mistake. So when a military action occurs in a foreign land, the US needs the help of local citizens for everything from translation to intelligence to labor. The people who work with us instantly become "traitors", at least to whatever group we are fighting. Their lives, and the lives of their families, are in danger. When such wars end, especially in a loss or tie like Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan, the Americans who worked with and benefited from the locals, want to help people they know full well will be tortured and executed after the US leaves. After Vietnam the US brought in tens of thousands of people who had aided US efforts in Vietnam. The same in Cambodia and Laos. After Iraq, the same. And after Afghanistan, 50-80,000 Afghans were allowed into the US. In each case, there are some bad apples. Some Vietnamese established gangs and criminal organizations which have been involved in drug running, protection rackets, prostitution and murder. Same same Cambodians and Laotians. Some Iraqis are fanatical and are a threat. Some Afghanis are the same. The vast majority of Vietnamese, Cambodians, Laotians, Iraqis and Afghanis allowed into the US have become law-abiding, peaceful and solid citizens, grateful for the chance. For you to blame Biden or lefties or Democrats for a practice every President since LBJ has followed is hypocrisy. If you want a convoluted excuse, how about this: Blame DOGE. If Musk hadn't hired Big Balls, who subsequently got beaten up by a 15 year old girl, Trump wouldn't have sent in the National Guard, who then would not have been targets of this killer. I don't know what the statute of limitations is on sticking a piece of chewing gum under your 2nd Grade desk, but I won't be surprised if Trump demands other critics be prosecuted for that.

Too bad the media will focus on that, and not all the "AMAZING" things Trump has done, such as ending the 1994 Rwandan Genocide, which according to Trump, was worse than the Holocaust (7 million vs 6 million).

I don't remember anyone claiming the files were going to take Trump down. Maybe there was one. I DO remembers MAGAs claiming Durham was going to take down Obama, Brennan, Clapper, Comey, McCabe, etc. The beauty of the files issue is that it drives Trump crazy. The Grim Reaper is going to take Trump down, likely before the 2026 midterms, and the world will instantly be a better place. Even the Repubs are beginning to realize the MAGA brand dies with Trump, and he's not long for this world. The Epstein issue isn't going to go away. It's unlikely the full, unredacted documents will be released, likely scrubbed of any and all major Republican donors and officials, plus anything except the most innocuous mention of Trump. The co-opted AG will also withhold files claiming "ongoing investigation", as she has been ordered to go after Clinton in order to deflect attention from Trump. Finally, any mention of an allied intelligence service who handled Epstein as a clandestine asset will be redacted "for national security reasons". The questions will continue to come from the media, and there will be more "Quiet, Piggy"s in the future, until the big piggy himself is worm food.

The Senators were 100% correct in saying what they said, for two reasons. One is because it is fact, duty and law. The second is that young people in the military, while they are no doubt well aware of their non-obligation to follow illegal orders, it is good that they know senior members of the government have their backs. That new debt was a 41% increase in the debt of the previous 44 Presidents combined. It represented $25,000 for every man, woman and child in the US, or $1000 for every human on the planet at the time. Now pretend you studied economics for a second.....do you think putting $25000 equivalent into the hands of 330 million Americans just might be inflationary?
