I'm Having A Psyche Issue
Ahhhh, so the root problem is that you're surrounded by all of these "Dirty Women" but can't afford any of them and it's somehow their fault...

Renewing My One Year Visa With An Agent.
Seen reports from a couple of guys who have managed to get an extension using their BBL account, it costs an extra 3,000 THB (15,500) and they did mention that the agent needed to do something on their Mobile App so not having the app or having limits <800K might be an problem.

Buying a new Samsung phone soon
I agree with you, buying any "Ultra Model" is hard to justify for us retirees... I did buy my parents the A52 and they loved it, bought the GF the same phone & she hated it so 18 months later I bought her the Oppo8 which she loves. Well worth a peak at Oppo I'd say :) Edit: Just seen you're Nope-O to Oppo, as always too each his own...

Buying a new Samsung phone soon
S21 Ultra? Is this post from 50 minutes or 5 years ago? I’m in the Apple camp (can’t be bothered to move everything I have there to the other side) but if I wasn’t, I’d go Oppo

Bangkok Bank for expats
I have 2 accounts with Bangkok Bank so I can keep my 800K in a fixed deposit account where it earns a little bit of interest & makes it impossible to accidentally spend it down below the amount I need to keep for my extensions. I also have an account with Kasikorn bank, mainly because if Bangkok Bank is having any "Technical Issues" I can use the KBank account but also it helps spread the risk of keeping >1Million THB in a single Bank. I (My Partner) recenty opened an account with Krungsri in her name (Though I have the app on my phone/atm card etc...) so if anything ever happened to me, she could use the Bank Book to take money out of the account to live on whilst things get sorted, currently have approx. 3 months expenses in there but plan is to keep topping it up until there's 1 years expenses covered which should be enough until she can get access to my main accounts. I would definately recommend anybody to have more than 1 account, especially if that 1 account is with Bangkok Bank

Bangkok Bank - No yellow book, no new account
I needed a CoR when I opened my Kasikorn account approx 2 years back but hopefully they won't need a yellow book as I want to open a Mutual Funds account with them.

Arriving from UK on a 0NE-WAY Ticket at Suvarnabhumi in 2025?
I always arrive back to Thailand on the return leg of the ticket (i.e. do not have a return flight to the UK or an Onward Ticket) and never been questioned by the Check-In Staff. Last return was May 2025 on a Non-Imm O "Retirement" + Multi Re-entry permit.

Bank account frozen
The Bangkok Bank rule around having the 800K in your account for 4 months only came into force on the 30th June so if you did your extension before then it wouldn't apply to you. If you did your extension after 29th June, had you had the 800K in your account for at least 4 months? If not then it's likely they would have had you sign a form to put a block on the money for 4 months, but if this was the case you wouldn't have been able to spend below the 800K without going into a branch and arguing your case.

Really enjoyed In Flight https://www.imdb.com/title/tt22299034/ Jo Conran's son is imprisoned for a murder he denies. A gang blackmails her into smuggling, pushing her into a world of corruption and violence to save her child's life.

Best Agency to Renew OA Visa
Friend of mine is on an OA & he pays an additional 2,500 for “Assistance” with the Health Insurance requirements. OP as others have recommended, Maneerat would be a good agent to ask.

Do you have unlimited internet SIM card?
I have a post paid Unlimited SIM with AIS, 373.43 THB pm (Includes the Tax), I believe this is now the Fixxy 399 Package, has speeds up to 20Mbs & includes 200minutes pm of free calls to any network. https://www.ais-promotion.net/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21717101423&gbraid=0AAAAAohEkfW5vQ_HkfB3lX4BetMCQ_3UI&gclid=CjwKCAjwkvbEBhApEiwAKUz6-49mbH1eFM1TQN1Z2aHC5SPBP9uWcBHqjy8jaXdng5Dtmnb-q7shWBoCM6EQAvD_BwE I know I could (or at least used to be able to) buy 12 month SIM's cheaper but I can't be bothered with the messing about when the number changes - especially nowadays with the Bank's tightening down on SIM registrations matching your Bank Account. Works great for me, as I type this, my Fibre 3BB service (Bundled in with the Condo rent) is playing up again so the TV is hotspotted to it whilst GF watches Netflix & I'm hotspotted to watch Youtube & type this.

… Somebody asks for information, you share it with them, they say thanks & then some bell end gives it a thumbs down. if you want to know what’s wrong with this forum nowadays, it’s the fact that Bell Ends like that can do so anonymously. Bring back naming people who react to posts, then we’ll all know who the bellends are.

Tax Break Bonanza: Thais to Benefit from New Foreign Income Rule
UK State Pension is taxable in Thailand. E.G if you were to get approx £12,500 / 545,000 THB in State Pension, you wouldn’t pay any tax on this in the UK (below Personal Allowance) BUT you’d pay tax in Thailand on the difference between 545K & your allowances (obviously assuming you remitted the whole amount).

Tax Break Bonanza: Thais to Benefit from New Foreign Income Rule
No, the DTA means you can get relief/credit for taxes paid in the UK but if the tax due in Thailand is higher, you need to pay the difference. If you’ve paid more Tax in the UK than is due in Thailand, you cannot get any credit for the amount over what you would pay in Thailand.

Revenue Department to amend tax on foreign income remittance
As you're from the UK (as am I) it's worth noting that under the UK:TH Double Taxation Agreement, Thailand can't apply taxes to us that it doesn't apply to Thai citizens which is why I'm quietly confident that we'll be included in any changes they make... Article 24 Non-discrimination (1) The nationals of a Contracting State shall not be subjected in the other Contracting State to any taxation or any requirement connected therewith which is other or more burdensome than the taxation and connected requirements to which nationals of that other State in the same circumstances are or may be subjected. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5a80bddc40f0b623026953eb/uk-thailand-dtc180281_-_in_force.pdf

Revenue Department to amend tax on foreign income remittance
This is the article from Bangkok Post... https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/general/3081357/Thailand It caused some concerns as it starts of by mentioned that Thais will be exempt, but as you read on I'm pretty sure that it applies to all Thai Tax Residents I.e. anybody who spends >179 days here in a tax year. Hopefully we'll find out in the next couple of weeks 🙂

Revenue Department to amend tax on foreign income remittance
Although no real concrete news, there was an article on it in the Pattaya Mail on 5th August that says the Revenue Department is "finalizing legislation to appear in the Royal Gazette" so will hopefully will get some confirmation soon... https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/upbeat-expat-news-on-foreign-income-taxes-coming-soon-512744 Edit: Integrity Legal has a video discussing the article...
