  1. Not sure if it means the establishment of an “Asean Zone” similar to the 'Shengan Zone' in Europe that has been bantered around (pipe dream??) by the Thai’s. Its weird, I get 60 days Exempt, my girlfriend from Vietnam gets 30 days exempt. I think they are shooting themselves in the foot, they are embarrassed that officials, both Police and Political hae allowed the criminals to enter, stay, conduct business to the tune of hundreds of Billions of Baht. So this is a knee jerk reaction. Limiting two visa exempt entries a year, okay legitimate tourists can do that. All others get the appropriate Visa. Dump the DTV…….or tighten the requirements - C’Mon, we know those thousands of DTV holders are not sweating and getting their assesss kicked in Muay Thai - it's letting the bad guys in, letting them stay longer and longer. My Hai Baht's worth
  2. It s Aetna (International), I got it thru an employer and just kept it for past 20 years. Only $158 a month for single no dependents.
  3. Thats not a bad idea, they chip dog’s and cat’s don’t they??
  4. and the one in bottom picture is not wearing any……..oh never mind. 😃
  5. I got the flu shot in August in the US, think I’ll get another one in Thailand, get one every year, maybe two, haven’t had the flu in 20 years or so. Flu shot doesn’t ‘give you the flu’ weakened immune systems make you susceptible to influenze…….eat and live healthier and you won’t get it, shot or not. Peace
  6. I keep about 2 Mil THB in Thailand, Health Insurance is in USA, and they are In-Network with Bumrungrad, so cover most if no all. Trying to get Bangkok Hospital to partner with them as well, saves me a trip to the Big Mango.
  7. That is my plan, my wife has a card/pin, and also my card/pin just in case things get squirrely.
  8. I automatically stop reading anything that starts with “The Shocking Truth About………" That is a flag that the article is all speculation, not truth/science. Peace
  9. It could very well be, but the Thai think it is true by the number of teen pregnancies that occur, presumably after school and involves drinking alcohol. Peace
  10. Stores have the rights to make their own rules, for example, if they have strong beliefs that there is even the slightest chance school children are able to have someone purchase alcohols for them sortly after/ or during / school hrs, they can just stop selling as they please. Just because the ban is lifted, doesn’t mean it is mandatory. I know I would. Now here come the “I will sue them for my right to drink cheap beer in the afternoon” crowd. Waiting for the flames and the one notoriously known for the thumbs down to build up his post count, we know who you are.
  11. Yes, fist sentence says it all: will begin taxing all imported e-commerce goods starting January 1.
  12. True - I came back from Vietnam war at age 19, wounded twice, messed up in the head, and still couldn’t legally drink in a bar, had to be 21 years old, even back in 1969. Cheers
  13. Finally a voice of reason - I too go way back in Thailand & Cambodia -spent a year in Battamabang, KomPong Cham, PPenh in 73, US Army, then another year in 1996 contractor…….Cambodia is NOT like Thailand 30/40 years ago, not even a distant close, and there is no indiginous ‘Khmer' food it is all regurgitated Thai & Chinese wiith a Khmer name. No where else on earth can you go into a resturant and order endangered species from the menu. suppose I could go on and on but haven’t the time. People that think Cambodia should read the book “Off the rails, a year of living dangerously"
  14. Why? There is nt a child anongst them in this picture……just a gaggle of beautiful women, who let him ‘grab them by their P…….ys
  15. Who? Whores, Lady Boys, Gansta Motocy drivers, Crazy Farang, Cops with their hand out, and everyone that treats you like a walking ATM?? You mean those people?? , not a real friend amongst them, wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw them. But, thats just me, and about 70% of those that live in Thailand, we dolt go to those places. You can have every inch of it, and I spend a lot of time in ‘Real’ Pattaya, not Farang Land. Peace
  16. The Thai Govt makes it easy to cheat, how many people with those thousands of DTV Visa’s issued “really” are practicising Muay Thai, going to “Accredited Cooking School” or Getting continuous Medical Treatments. I called the LA Consulate and asked how many Medical Appointments do I have to make to qualify for a DTV, she said “Oh, a couple during the 6 months” I said I wanted to learn “Traditoonal Tai Masaage at the School in Wat Po” She said, “If you can show us official enrollment, you qualify since that is a Thai Art” Think I’ll enroll in Thai Massage and get a 10 year DTV 😆😆😆😆
  17. Yes, ask “Coffee in the morning?” she says Yes, ask “Do I pick you up, or do I nudge you awake"
  18. Do they still celebrate “No Day”?? The day Nazi’s showed up at the French border and demanded Belgium surrender, and they said “NO!” then the Wehrmacht drove their tanks thru Belgium in a day. At least thats how I remember it, I lived in Belgium for 3 years when I was younger, they taught it in school.
  19. I thought it was Lop Buri, not Buri Ram, but my memory may not be as good as some peoples’ 🧠🧠
