Glad I waited to order a medical device I need, costs $900 in US, pbly wouldn't have added another $400 in customs charges. I’ll just have someone hand carry it for me as a ‘used' device..

I expect no other treatment than how I treat others, your positive experience's echo’s this…….I like to give the benefit of the doubt, but also have a bunch of places I won’’t ever visit again. As for Immigration- I only go to report residence, anything, anything else at I/O I use a agent, as they know their way around the offices, and keeps me out of the limelight, worth every penny. peace

Back in the seventies, we struggled to find my GF’s age, one hand written Birth Paper from Village Amphur showed B-Year of 1954, but her Birth Certificate showed her B-Day as September 1957 so she was either 18 or 15……..I decided to wait a year to make sure. I order some Health Shake products, when they arrived, they were half the size that I used to get in the US - shuda read the description - but they arrived on time, and delivered to my condo Mgt desk…….no complaints, just read the fine print, and there were no additional charges, delivery fees or services charges. peace

Correct, the transfer in must say "For Purchase of Condominium" I had to send half of my transfer back because the transfer didn't have this statement in it - SCB, once it came in correctly, made the purchase within a day.

Maybe not by Thai Banks, but the US Banks have to report that to the IRS......and we have to report anything over $10K AT ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR.

I can see us carrying around backpacks full of 100 baht bills.......I was on vacation in Zimbabwe when the Z-Bucks fell thru the floor, still have a bunch of Hundred Trillion, Five Hundred Billion Notes, and even Money with Expiration Dates on them, use by __/__/__ or they are worthless..............People were using them as firewood.

I own Ppty in four countries, if one goes south, I have backups, unmarried, no kids, no pets, nothing I have to feed or water. But I have folks in all four places that would take care of me if one day came when I couldn't wipe my own bottom anymore. Will is setup so each 'geographical family' gets something. Peace

Slightly off topic but needs to be said: Recently, I had to get a new bankbook, ibecause my Passport had changed - it took almost 3 hrs at SCB Jom Tien because they check every little thing about you, previous bankbooks, withdrawals, took pictures of Visa, Arrival stamps, called Immigration (I understand enough Thai to know what they were asking) Once all that was done, I had to sign a dozen places on forms, copies or every little facet of my Life in Thailand (even a semi-large Lottery win 14 years ago) No, maybe they don’t enforce Visa rules, but they made sure I knew even the smallest discrepancy, they would close the account. I have had this account 24 years - the Banks are under a lot of pressure from Thai Govt about Bank Accounts/money laundering etc etc. I walked out with a new bank card, bankbook, and now waiting for my Visa card to be mailed to me. Luckily I had copies of my last 3 expired Passports………computer said the picture didn’t look like me about 10 times, yes I have lost 65lbs in past six years or so, luckily my Snazola hasn’t changed a bit and that saved me.

Try sneaking into Canada, UK or anywhere in Asia and see where you wind up…….they broke the Law, thus they are criminals………Nuff Said Peace

I too was frustrated, but then changed my browser to Chrome (which I never use) I was able to submit first try, diodn’t have a printer, but kept the Case Number and gave that to the iO at Suvarnabhumi and she accepted. Saw at least twenty people trying to fill it out with laptops siting on the floor. One thing, I tried 4 days prior, it has to be no sooner than 3 days before arrival. Peace

Unless it can be proven the ‘specific approval to use the Auto-Pen can’t be established, they are perusing the log’s which most certainly ave to exist everytime an Executive Order is created, approved and signed, whether it be by hand or that Auto Pen. and Yes, I am a Constitutional Sh@@house Lawyer.
