  1. Similar fuel thefts.....wow like how much did they manage to squeeze into a motorbike tank, 4 litres, maybe 5? The Great Siamese Fuel pillage of 2026.
  2. The residence certificate from immigration
  3. "BLUE INK PEN - Not black ink, not green ink, not red ink, only blue ink please!
  4. Don't you have any photo copies from your previous extension (maybe immigration have a copy they could give you) at least it would show proof of all of your passport details. If the embassy lost the passport, you would at least they would assist to expedite it as an emergency. Any letter from the embassy is sure to carry even a little bit of weight with Thai immigration and might buy you time - maybe there is some sort of 30 or 60 day extension which might buy yo enough time to receive the new passport, good luck!
  5. Anywhere that can take a half decent photo is all you need! You can do it yourself with a reasonable smart phone. The important thing is the dimensions - you need to look at UK Gov website for the correct values. The other important feature is the backdrop colour - again all of this is specified in the UK Gov site. I have just had two new UK passports for myself and family, none were done at recommended photo places, even if they are not happy with the first attempt, they will contact you for another pic if yours is unsuitable. It is 99% common sense, just make sure to get it focused!
  6. The Never Ending Story of hope and desperation.
  7. The world moves on and these dinosaurs are what is holding this place back, totally clueless.
  8. You are correct, the new passport will show the transfer details on the first page that refers to the old passport, not sure about Bangkok Bank as I hear loads of problems from them, but this works fine for SCB. Given all the current problems with BB, I'd open a new account with a better bank.
  9. The entire place is a veritable wonderland of amazement. Move over Disney, welcome to Dismaland. Theme park Thailand, where all your dreams come true, a little bit, maybe, nah, not really.
  10. Unbelievable, they just never know when to put up and shut up. Lord Haw Haw would have been proud.
  11. Way to go, we know just what to expect with this little gem.
  12. Don't tell me they have been watching the daft Brits with their Ferry Prison ideas? They must have felt second class or a bit left out again - I mean they were left out of most important world actions, they weren't invited to the Ukraine so they had their own little skirmish with Cambodia and then went running for The Donalds' attention. "I know, tourist numbers are falling, economy in freefall, war with Cambodia, bombings and terror attacks down South, I know, lets have a Ferry Prison, it is good enough for a sophisticated developed first world nation, maybe we too can hope to enter that exclusive club Mark, what do you reckon"?
  13. Just been out down our way and there are hundreds of cops and Amphur clowns at the sides of the roads causing chaos at 8.30AM, they are swarming (no not tourists or wasps) all over the dual carriageway causing mayhem, tailbacks almost 1KM, delays for anyone heading for Intahnon, but they will keep us all safe despite their best efforts.
  14. When I sold my pick up we did all the paperwork we were told we needed, the Thai buyer drove 45km to the DV office only to be refused the transfer as they wanted a valid 90 day report! So he had another 135km to his journey back and forth. Thailand, you can never have too many copies of anything.
  15. Obviously security is the same as a puppy here, just for Christmas.
  16. My heart bleeds, hope they borrowed the initial outlay from some really nasty Tong gang moneylenders, with the interest due yesterday.
  17. Sazzle Frazz;e Razzle Dazzle....would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids and Scooby Doo.
  18. You can pick up the 240 Bag boxes of "Yorkshire Tea" from Lazada for about 900 Baht. The tea is quite good. (anything is if compared to that Lipton rubbish)
  19. You have to get a new electronic number card, free from the bank, but sadly 6000 miles away.
  20. I am a bit puzzled why a certification of a certificate is required, as the cert. is in Thai I presume? Liquorice is correct about what the embassy can and cannot issue, but having been there done that and got the T shirt, certification as a true copy by the British Embassy is a complete waste of time and money. I did all that and got the British Birth Cert. as well as the Thai certification as a True Copy, it costs a bit, but as far as Thailand and immigration go, they do not want to know, They only want the original Thai docs. Whatever the Brits or whoever's embassy gives you anything else, the Thais won't even look at it, save your money.
  21. Be prepared for a long long long wait. I lost mine a while back. Apply at the Registration office, mine took over 1 year. (same registration, just a replacement, I think it cost about 2 quid)
  22. Retaliation will be in the form of Gaeng Hanglay.
