  1. What other body of people would allow someone like this to lead them? How did it not stop then and there? What is wrong with you people?
  2. ... and some folks need to have their entertainment served to them, instead of making it themselves. That's why TV became so popular. The fact is, we don't see things as they are. We see them as we are. If we're feeling contented, we tend to find things around us pleasant. If we are upset or angry at something, we are not going to be comfortable with very much in our surroundings. We've all known a person (or more likely, people,) who, no matter where they are, are not happy with some aspect of being there, and complain loudly about the place (just think of all the Thai bashing that goes on here.) It's those same people who didn't like their home country so moved to the Angeles City first but didn't like it, then tried Kuta Beach and didn't like that so moved to Phuket or Pattaya and are now complaining about that! No matter where these people go, they won't 'find happiness.' It's not outside of us.
  3. Yes, this is the place I mentioned. Doesn't look like a fancy service center, but these guys are the real deal. Drive straight in and the lot opens open up on both sides with bays.
  4. Stop posting political nonsense. That might help.
  5. We just had our car done, very well and very cheap! 2 shocks and some other steering parts, as well as fixing/replacing the entire front of the car and the left fender. 14,000 baht for everything, finished the next day! Perfect job! From Chiang Puak Rd headed north from the moat, turn left at the traffic signal at the SuperHighway, then immediate left into the driveway of the repair place. 4 bays, friendly owners! Only a problem if you go past it.

  7. I just completed this quiz. My Score 30/100 My Time 133 seconds
  8. It takes a real man to remain soft in a world that wants us to be hard. 99% of 'real' men haven't had a physical altercation since they left the schoolyard when they were 12 years old. In all the videos we see (and don't we get to see many of them right here?) there are absolutely no fighting skills to be seen, just guys swinging their arms wildly. It's the kicking while they're down that draws the blood. Real men don't need to fight.
  9. I just completed this quiz. My Score 60/100 My Time 171 seconds
  10. A 'gang,' by definition, requires more than one person...
  11. If I had as many difficulties, day after day, as Bob describes, I would have eaten the barrel of a shotgun years ago. You have to admire his tenacity.
  12. Nope. In fact, I was too lenient as a manager. Even got reprimanded by my bosses for it. But that was work. We're now talking about taking another person's life in exchange for the life he took. That's a waste of two lives. At least one can be productive.
  13. Nope. Punishment. For life without parole. You kill someone, you get punished.
  14. The death penalty is not punishment. It's release. The criminal might not like the idea of dying, but once it's over, it's finished and the criminal no longer pays for his crime. He doesn't even know about it. Instead, let the convicted felons do hard time. Rock piles, shoveling gravel from morning till night. Or civil construction work, stoop labor, chain-gang work. No TV, no movies, no music. Nothing but three meals a day and hard labor. That's punishment.
  15. Wow! Could anything define the Trump supporter or strategy more clearly? "If I can't win the argument, I'll just insult them over and over again until people think I won." It's no longer a matter of Politics. It's a matter of Morals.
  16. We don't see things as they are. We see them as we are.
  17. I just completed this quiz. My Score 40/100 My Time 119 seconds
  18. Sorry, but until recently, I just went to Rajavej if I needed to see a doctor, so would talk with whichever doctor was there at the time. I will say that I will no longer use Rajavej for its walk-in clinic, but because of Thailand's ridiculous laws, can not tell you why. Instead, I have discovered Dr. Morgan's clinic on the Hang Dong road. She speaks fluent English, listens to the patient, has lab facilities, and solves my problems when I have them. Excellent medical care! I recommend her Medical advice and treatment wholeheartedly!
  19. I don't mind at all! But I'll begin by saying that the dosage of supplements is a guessing game at best! Both of these can be found at very low concentrations to quite high, depending on the brand, and there are no scientifically-generated guidelines to follow for dosage, only anecdotal evidence. The only saving grace is that overdosing on pumpkin seeds isn't a problem... Personally, I buy these two through Lazada or Shopee, but one needs to be VERY careful when choosing the vendor. You can find the same product at many different prices. You can also see the same product photo being used for different dosages! Every morning I take: Pumpkin Seed Oil, 1000mg softgels - 1 Saw Palmetto, 500mg - 1 This was enough for me for many years. Then I added half a tablet of Cialis every other day. I've been using this combination for the past 5 years or so. To date, I've asked at least 4-5 different doctors about this, and so far, all have said 'If it's working, keep it up.'
  20. I used to average 120/70. These days the average is 110/65... It's lower, but it is not significant.
  21. Saw Palmetto alone never worked for me, but it was a whole new ballgame when I combined it with Pumpkin seed oil. I used that combination for years until it needed a bit of a push, so I added the half tablet of Cialis every other day. There is no need for a prescription for Cialis in Thailand. Several medications make urination difficult, such as Sudafed. When I have to take that, I take the half tab every day to compensate. I do not want the surgery.
  22. I have been using Saw Palmetto and Pumpkin seed oil for the past 10 years with good results. (For best results, both need to be taken together.) I went from 5-6 times a night to 1-2. But about 3 years ago, I needed something more, and on advice from Dr. Google, added half of a generic Cialis every other day. That did the trick, and my usual is once a night now. I don't mind the side effects of Cialis... 🙂
  23. I just completed this quiz. My Score 40/100 My Time 62 seconds
  24. Do you add some toasted, ground Szechuan peppercorns on top when serving? Adds a really nice touch!
  25. For fresh tofu that I'll use in Chinese and Japanese dishes, I buy large squares at Tannin Market (made fresh daily) or if those vendors are out of stock I'll use supermarket tofu. I can find the same brand that I used to buy in Japan at both Rimping and Tops. Otherwise, for Thai dishes, I prefer to use the stuff in tubes.
