  1. Tuchel gone. The players available and the playing shape look awkward to me. The results have not been good. I also think the club overpaid on some of the new signings. 62 for Cucurella (one goal and two assists in the EPL) / 75 for Fofana (coming off a major injury) / selling Gilmour for 9 / transfer paying for 33 y.o. Auba. I can't really figure out what the plan was.
  2. The Brit must have backed up hard into the signpost. The pickup's tail gate and bumper are clearly bent in from the crash.
  3. I had something similar happen in a high rise building (12th floor). Wind closed a bedroom door and I was locked inside without my cell phone. I lived alone. Something was wrong with the lock and I had to break the doorknob and use it to break the door material/surface around the lock to open the door. Unfortunately the door was good quality. Took me about an hour and a half to do this and my hands were in tatters after. I thought that I may have needed to throw things out a window onto cars below to attract attention to my situation, but it didn't come to that. 555
  4. Chelsea gets rocked by Leeds. Credit to Leeds who played with a lot of energy and were defensively sound. Koulibaly was off all game. Mendy gifts the first goal. Hope CFC can learn something from this game.
  5. The Cambodians take their 3-month birthday parties seriously.
  6. This is what Saylor is about: In March, when Bitcoin was changing hands at roughly $57,000, Saylor encouraged investors to liquidate their assets in order to buy Bitcoin on leverage in an interview. The MicroStrategy CEO went as far as urging people to mortgage their houses so that they could invest more.
  7. On Monday, Nomad cross-chain token bridge was drained of close to $200 million in multiple hacks.
  8. The sector is loading up for future rug pulls. A lot of people love the crypto, so the show goes on.
  9. Teachers should never do a thing like this. So many other ways to react to this situation.
  10. From personal experience, the Royal Thai embassy in Beijing is very hard to do business with. Avoid it if at all possible. There are Thai consulates in other Chinese cities (Shanghai, Xian, Guangzhou, etc.) that you may be able to work with instead.
  11. I had covid recently. Showed positive with an ATK on day 2. Phuket area and I am aged late 50's. Had 2 Sinopharm vaccines and 1 Moderna booster. The whole thing lasted no more than 3 days and felt more mild than serious. The onset began as a sore throat followed by two days of flu-like aches and pains. No cough, no lack of taste or smell, no loss of appetite, had fatigue, had a congested nose, no congestion in lungs, no joint pain. No lasting effects a week later. Maybe I got off easy. I plan to wash my hands more in the future and try to stay away from crowds.
  12. Pack dogs on the beach scaring people in Ao Nang again. Time to go midieval on those beach dogs.
  13. Very strange and horrific accident. The car must have hit the back of the truck while going much faster than the truck. Some terrible driving involved. RIP.
  14. I sleep with a fan and windows open. I rarely use a/c.
  15. I I have no idea how CFC managed to get rid of a whole whack of their brightest academy defensive players. You mention injuries, but I think it was poor judgement. Losing Tomori was inexcusable. Lampard was involved. Ampadu has had his chances on loan. I don't think any of his loans were poor teams. RB Leipzig rarely played him because he wasn't good enough. He's still young, and I hope he works out for himself and Chelsea. I hope CFC gets a name CB. We sure need one (two actually). Pau Torres, Gvardiol or the ever-mentioned Kounde would be nice. Of these, I only know of Torres being any good. I think our midfield should be okay. Like to see Gallagher playing. I am not fussed about Gilmour. Would like to CFC get shot of Barkley, Bakayoko, and Drinky. I want Lukaku to leave too. He won't be successful at CFC. Hopefully they can send him back to Italy.
  16. I haven't heard yet of any Chelsea signings for this EPL transfer period. Other teams are getting deals done and Chelsea seems to be dithering again. Liverpool (and Citeh) always seem to get their business done early. Wish CFC could do the same.
  17. More park space and sidewalks that people can walk unimpededly on would be nice.
  18. Eliminating cigarettes is way down the list of things needed to improve the quality of life for people living or visiting Bangkok. (I don't smoke.)
  19. Looks to me like the immigration office in Phuket Town is still issuing covid extensions. I was at their office today, and there is a sign posted for where these extensions are done. Outside location under the big tent.
  20. Is Macron playing the "humiliation" card, or has it been created by the media? The charged word doesn't fit the conflict regarding Putin.
  21. Hi. The Thai language school I am attending is 4 hours (2 days, 2 hour classes) per week. This has worked fine for me getting a non B Ed extension of stay for one year.
